The Redfield was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding! So many great photo opportunities and we were able to not worry about the weather since we had both outdoor and indoor options. Wanted to find a place to propose to my then girlfriend now fiancé and came across the Grove and Redfield Estate. From the first phone call to the day or the proposal I was given nothing but the best customer service. Everything went just as planned and credit the staff there for everything they did for us. Was also recommended an amazing photographer and he did an amazing job too. Best Wedding EVER!!!!
Our wedding at The Grove was amazing! Deborah was such a wonderful person to work with. The venue itself is so beautiful. From all the statues in the garden to the fireplaces inside and outside. We absolutely loved everything about it! We highly recommend having your wedding here. It was very affordable also chairs and tables are included!!! My husband and I chose the Redfield Estate for both our ceremony and reception during off-season, winter time. The venue did not disappoint. Deborah and Tess were absolutely wonderful to work with, they accommodated our requests with ease and their recommended vendors were an absolute dream to work with as well. Every aspect from start to finish was wonderful at this venue and we felt so fortunate to have our special moment here at the Redfield Estate. Our micro-wedding and reception at this venue was highly praised by all of our guests. We barely did any decorations because the venue itself was gorgeous. The price to use the venue is very fair and affordable. The staff responded to emails very quicky or even respond quickly by calling. I felt like I achieved my fairy cottage wedding day. The Grove was the PERFECT venue for our October 18th wedding! Deborah and her staff are an absolute joy to work with. We hosted about 100 people and had our ceremony under the big Oak tree outside, followed by a lively reception inside the beautiful pavillion. The Grove Redfield Estate was such a beautiful venue for our wedding. We received so many comments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and we could not agree more! We had the ceremony at the gazebo and the reception in the pavilion. There was plenty of space in the pavilion for dinner and dancing for our 90 guests. In early October, the leaves were starting to change colors and although it got a little chilly at night, the pavilion had a fireplace and heaters that helped keep our guests comfortable. We recently held my sister's baby shower at the Redfield Estate Pavillion on 9/28.25. The weather and grounds were just absolutely perfect for the event. The Grove in itself is just a beautiful setting for an event, but the Redfield Estate takes it to another level. We worked with Deborah from day 1 and she was so knowledgeable and great to work with. She had great suggestions on vendors to utilize and made sure we were on track timeline wise throughout the entire planning process. Norbert was onsite day of and he could not have been more welcoming, friendly and willing to help with whatever we asked him. He greeted our guests and directed them to the pavilion as well as where restrooms were and was just readily available for anything we needed. This was the PERFECT spot for our event and we could not have been happier with how everything turned out. I can't recommend The Grove and their team enough for your special celebration. We started off looking for a budget venue that matched our desire to be in a wooded environment. When we visited the Redfield Estate, we fell in love! The first thing you see when you approach the property is the 100 year old house (that you have full use of on the day). This house is absolutely gorgeous and provides a great backdrop for pictures! If you take a right from the house, and follow the path through the woods and over a bridge over a small stream, you come to the beautiful gazebo where we had our ceremony. On the other side of the property is the pavilion where we had our reception, which is covered so, if there's rain, the event will go on! Behind that is the reflecting pond where we had our first look. It is all as perfect as it sounds! Deborah was our contact at the venue throughout the process and she was very friendly and helpful, answering our questions promptly. There were two people on site the day of that helped to guide our guests as they arrived and keep the general public out of the event. They were very friendly and did a great job. If you are into the outdoors/woods, this is the place for you!The Grove Redfield Estate's reply:

Redfield estates wedding day
I grew up going to the Grove with my dad and always wanted to get married at the Redfield Estates. That dream did not disappoint! It was such a lovely day getting ready at the historic house. The venue has so much to offer and had so many deer come and visit during our ceremony. The venue has many spots for perfect photo opportunities, along with beautiful foliage and greenery. Absolutely stunning venue. Deborah and her team were amazing to work with and they were there for us every step of the way. We planned this wedding virtually since we don’t live in the Chicagoland area and Deborah made the process seamless. Any question we had, she answered it quickly! We truly could not have asked for a better venue. It had absolutely everything we needed - outdoor space so our guests didn’t feel trapped in one spot, a gorgeous Pavillion that is covered to protect you from rain but still outside, an indoor space in case of inclement weather, stunning greenery, and more. We had 63 people at our wedding and the Pavillion fit us all perfectly and allowed us room for a dance floor. I highly recommend this venue.The Grove Redfield Estate's reply:

We could not have asked for a better location and staff for our special day! From the planning stages (including touring the grounds, having a fun vendor meet and greet with some of the preferred caterers and companies and meeting at the grounds to talk through logistics) to the actual wedding day (including vendor arrivals and coordination, cleanup and packing of our items for storage) and even afterward, with picking up our decorations and having great connections via email... it has been a dream. Could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Such an amazing experience from asking for information all the way to the final day. The staff was just amazing. Every person we interacted with day of and any time prior was just so kind and really made this experience not stressful. The cost is something I will rave about always because weddings (especially venues) can absolutely get up there in price and they are one of the few reasonably priced venues I've encountered that also offer a lot of included services in their rental price. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous and having the option to use both inside of the estate and surrounding property really allows for you to get the best photos. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue than the Redfield Estate for our wedding! The moment we saw it, we knew it was the perfect spot. The historic charm, stunning architecture, and gorgeous gardens made for the most magical setting.
The staff, especially Deborah, at Redfield Estate were incredible too – super helpful and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. The whole space, from the ceremony area to the reception, was perfect for creating an intimate, romantic atmosphere. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how lovely it was, and the photos turned out breathtaking thanks to the beautiful backdrop.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Grove Redfield Estate last weekend. Thankfully, the rain held out and we had amazing weather throughout the night! Even if it rained, the pavilion in which our reception was held would have covered us completely, so this was not a worry of ours when we booked the venue with Deborah. She explained to us that the reception is outside and that the historic home can be used as a bridal suite as well as a place for guests to cool down because it is fully air conditioned. She was extremely helpful in ensuring that our vendors were insured in case anything went wrong. She also gave us helpful tips to save money, such as doing a build your own bar through Schaefer's. The venue itself is affordable and comes with all the amenities listed on their website. The total cost does go up depending on which caterer you go with; although do go with one of their preferred caterers because they do know how to work the venue for a seamless experience. We still went with The Grove because we knew that we (along with our wedding planners) could then curate the wedding reception that we envisioned. Stunning, timeless wedding venue!!
We recently had our wedding at Grove Redfield Estate, and it was truly the most magical experience we could have hoped for. The venue features stunning, expansive outdoor gardens and a beautifully maintained, classical historic mansion that provided the perfect backdrop for our special day.
From the moment we toured, we were captivated by the landscape which includes a massive main lawn, towering oak tree, secluded gazebo, multiple ponds, and flowering gardens… not to mention the historic mansion which is in pristine condition. It has been preserved and renovated with great care by the Redfield Estate caretakers, including our main point of contact Deborah. Deborah was organized and communicative. Working with her felt like getting a bonus extra wedding planner, because of her strong relationships with our caterer and wine provider, who had served dozens of weddings at Redfield Estate and literally had her on speed dial. The staff on our wedding day were equally wonderful, giving us a stress-free day.
We held our ceremony under the gazebo, surrounded by greenery and light (our photographer loved the venue for this!). It felt like we were in a fairytale. The Pavilion and main lawn were perfect for the reception, and our guests were delighted with the natural and garden-like setting. For example, a baby deer crossed the lawn at one point and at night there were more fireflies than I have ever seen in my life. We are beyond grateful to have found such a perfect venue for our wedding. Highly Recommend
We had our wedding at the Redfield Estate in August of 2023 and we could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. The estate was beautifully manicured and everything was exactly as expected. From the day we signed our contract through the day of our event the communication from the venue manager, Deborah, to all our other vendors was seamless. As soon as we took a tour of the grounds at Redfield Estate, we knew it was the right place for our small, intimate wedding. You have to visit this place. It has all the beauty and charm while being affordable and conveniently located for those who live in the Chicagoland area, so basically the perfect wedding venue! And it absolutely works for small or large weddings. Nearly every time we mentioned Redfield Estate to someone when they asked about our wedding planning, they or someone they knew had attended an event there, and they would rave about how wonderful it is. Our photographer fell in love the moment she arrived. There are so many great photo opportunities. The beautiful craftsman home has the sweetest vintage-feeling rooms -- we loved all the pieces of history -- and the surrounding landscape is lovely. We chose to get married under the giant old oak tree on the front lawn and then gathered with family in the airy pavilion. It was perfect weather for a June day, but I honestly imagine Redfield Estate being a gorgeous, charming experience in any weather or season. The staff members are all so kind and incredibly helpful. Deborah, Lizzie, and Paul made us feel so welcome, supported, and taken care of on our wedding day and in the planning stages. If I ever had another event to plan or was recommending a venue to a friend, this would be the first place I think of!The Grove Redfield Estate's reply:

This was the only venue I saw and was immediately certain I had found the perfect place for my wedding.
Deb quickly became a friend— she’s professional, provides planning guidance, and ensures your day goes perfectly.
There is a hotel right across the street (the renaissance hotel Glenview ) that is so nice! It’s perfect for out of town guests. They even provide free shuttle service to the grove if you have a certain number of guests book there! They also handed out welcome bags that I created for my guests. I also held a welcome reception the day before my wedding.
The Grove is absolutely beautiful. I love that the pavilion is covered and is a sturdy structure. I also love that we had access to the house. We had a plan b in case it rained, and I felt confident that my vendors could pivot if weather became an issue.
Luckily the weather was perfect! It got chilly at night, but we ended up using the venue fireplace and heaters. It was so beautiful — the fireplace added another unique element to the reception.
We chose vendors that were recommended by the grove and they were all incredible. The food was amazing and the catering team was A++++.
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue.
The natural beauty of the grove gave us so many options for photos. We didn’t need much decor because of how gorgeous the venue is. I couldn’t recommend a better place to get married—
It’s so convenient and is perfect for an intimate fairytale wedding.

We highly recommend Redfield Estate at the Grove (in Glenview IL) as a wedding and reception venue, for several reasons. (1) The site is beautiful. The stately house, pavilion, gazebo, and surrounding grounds invite leisurely walks, conversation, and celebration. (2) The staff, starting with manager Deborah Rabeor, but extending to every employee we met, is very responsive and helpful. On Sunday September 11, for instance, when our daughter was married at Redfield, the Chicago area was hit with an all-day, record-setting downpour. Deborah “just put on my jeans,” as she told us, and came to the venue on her day off, to make sure everything was proceeding as normally as possible. (3) The price is right. The “bang for your buck” travels a long way at Redfield, compared with other venues. We felt our money was well-spent. (4) The list of Redfield’s recommended vendors – in particular, floristry and catering – met and even exceeded our expectations. We used Bella Rue (catering), Toast & Jam (DJ), Oak Mill Bakery (cake), and Hlavacek (florist). The Grove Redfield Estate was the perfect location for our special day! The sprawling gardens, reflecting pool, pavilion, gazebo, sculptures, architecture... there were so many amazing spots to take memorable photos and hold our ceremony. The Grove Redfield Estate is a beautiful, photogenic venue. The rental includes the pavilion where we were married in front of the fireplace. Also included are the gazebo, and the Redfield Estate itself, where we hosted our reception. The Redfield Estate had just been refreshed, and looked amazing. On the day of the event, every room of the Redfield Estate was staged and ready for guests. We had our own room upstairs to get ready in, with a bathroom just outside the door. The booking process was pleasant, efficient, and professional. Communication with the venue representative, and we dealt only with one delightful person, was always quick and friendly. The venue includes tables and chairs, and a complete kitchen for your caterer. For modest additional charges, you can run the gorgeous fireplaces. Up to four outdoor heaters are also available for additional charges. The venue provides a very pleasant and helpful person to patrol the grounds during your event, keeping the general public out. There is always someone present to deal with any issues that may come up on the day of your event. On our special day, everything was perfect. Part of the rental includes a reasonable deposit to cover the unlikely event of any damage to the venue. Our deposit was refunded, with expected deductions for the fireplaces, and the heaters we requested, the very next work day after our event. I didn't have to follow up with them, except to offer my profuse appreciation. The Grove Redfield Estate offers you lists of vendors for every facet of your wedding. These references are invaluable. From those lists, we assembled a dream team of caterer, florist, baker, and photographer. They had all worked together before at the venue, and everything was harmonious on the big day. The value of these relationships can not be overstated. When you are planning your wedding, and you are looking for vendors, it is amazing to have a venue provide you a list of choices that have already proven themselves, and that know the venue. We hosted our ceremony and reception at The Grove, and had a wonderful wedding! They offer many different options for ceremony / cocktails / and dining. The grounds are stunning and provide plenty of spots for photos. When choosing an outdoor venue we were nervous about what we would do if it were to rain, but they have an awesome indoor space as a backup. It's peaceful, beautiful, has easy access for vendors, their staff is friendly and helpful, and you can have your ceremony, reception, changing rooms, etc. all in one spot. WOW! We had the best experience at The Grove. We had to change our plans due to covid and ended up having a more intimate gathering here. Deborah was so pleasant to work with and the grounds were beautiful. We got married on May 30, 2021 and our guests are still raving about the space. Growing up seeing the animals, walking the trails, and learning the history at the Grove I always knew I wanted to get married there. Deborah and Carol were always quick to respond to my emails and communicated easily with my other vendors. They have a small list of caterers they work with (that’s how we found the majority of our vendors who were all so great). The location is beautiful and there’s so many different places on the grounds for pictures/ceremony/reception for a small wedding. We were married on Nov 2, 2019 and it was a chilly fall day. We were married in the outdoor pavilion with the grand fireplace on and blankets for our guests. The reception was inside the Redfield Estate. We had cocktails upstairs/ dinner and dancing downstairs. I loved having the bridal suite to get away from everything when I needed a break. The space is very small. I had around 85 guests, but the indoor space would’ve been best for less than 60 people. Everyone still had a great time and we’re a tight knit group of fam/friends so nobody seemed to mind the small space. Everything turned out wonderfully and my guests loved the beauty of The Grove and the history of the Redfield Estate. Most of my guests and I stayed across the street at Marriott and it was very convenient/easy. We used the suite there to get ready with hair/makeup because the bridal suite at the Redfield is small and we wanted some more room.
Overall, it’s been almost a year and people still tell us how beautiful that day was. Thank you for giving us such a beautiful, fairy tale wedding!The Grove Redfield Estate's reply:

My husband and I chose the Redfield Estate as our venue for both our wedding ceremony and dinner reception. We couldn't have chosen a better place! Carol and Deborah (rental coordinators) were very pleasant to work with. They were prompt with emails and regularly communicated with our vendors to ensure our day ran smoothly. Additionally, the venue itself is absolutely stunning! The 1920's architecture, coupled with the pristine landscaping and outdoor trails, added to the charm and romance of the venue. Our wedding was September 29th of this year, and it was BEAUTIFUL. The Redfield Estate at The Grove was the perfect place to have our special day! The home has lovely rooms for everyone to get ready, and so many places for amazing photos. We choose to use the huge stone pavilion for our ceremony. The staff set the chairs up and lit the fireplace, and the property was covered with lush trees and gorgeous flowers. The coordinator was in contact with me and answered all my questions thru emails and I couldn’t be happier with how we were treated. Keri Sent on 08/29/2018John & I fell in love with this venue when we got engaged about a year & a half ago but all the dates we had in mind were booked.
I told them to give me a call if they had any cancellations & on july 25th 2018 I got the call.
We went to see it on the 28th & booked it for August 24th. : )
It was a HUGE job to tackle in only 27 days but with the help of Deborah & Carol in the office at the grove & the preferred vendors they work with...I was able to pull it off.
The whole entire thing from start to finish was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!
I will be forever grateful to The Grove for allowing me to have the Wedding of my dreams!
I will never forget it! The word I keep hearing it most often described as from our guest is...ENCHANTING!
We had SO MUCH FUN!!!
They entire Grove staff were professional, accommodating, & friendly.

This place is beyond gorgeous and cost efficient for a wedding venue. Although it rained a lot the day before and the morning of my wedding, we still were able to have the reception in the same place and the ceremony moved indoors, which worked it wonderfully! Now I know I may be biased since it was my own wedding, but it was without a doubt the most magical fairytale like wedding I have ever been to! The grounds are breathtaking, especially with the bistro lights at night. Every minute of the evening we had someone coming up to us telling us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to! We had about 85 guests which was the perfect size for an outdoor wedding in the pavillion. We loved, as well as our guests, that they could walk around outside and see all the beautiful landscape, instead of being stuck in one room. Carol and Shelley were exceptional from the very start and always very quick to answer all our questions leading up to the event. The on-site staff the day of the event were also extremely helpful. If you are looking for a dream outdoor wedding venue, stop right now and book at The Grove! -

My husband and I were on our way to look at another venue while we were driving and I saw the sign for the grove while I was looking out the window. I googled it and fell in love with the website alone, I sent an email & got a phone call the next morning. We set up an appointment that week and couldn't resist having it there. We did minimal decorating because really, you don't need a lot, the place has so many different elements of beautiful. You can walk anywhere on the property to take pictures. They also give you a map to help you know where you are, I just wish that the day didn't go by so fast to be able to get so many different areas. It could look like you went to different locations all in one! We loved everything about Carol & Ashley, they really wanted to help us make our day perfect! -

Sarah Sent on 09/15/2016Not only was the venue beautiful, but the staff there were extremely accommodating. There were 2 staff available the whole night, helping my party pick up decorations and offering advice as to where we could leave things until the next morning.
I can't tell you how many people told me "I am going to tell my friend about this place so they'll get married here! It's so gorgeous!" The outdoor pavilion was perfect for our 70 person wedding. Even when it dropped down to 70 degrees and the older guests were getting cold, we just closed off one side and it was perfect.
Carol and Shelley, the rental coordinators were always available for any questions I had and promptly responded to emails I sent. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with the grove. This is such a hidden gem with its winding entrance, timeless antiquated home, pristine grounds, and beautiful natural decor, you CANNOT go wrong.
