The Lodge at Spruce Peak is a whimsical mountain wedding venue located in Stowe, Vermont. Facilities and Capacity
With 12,000 square feet of event space, The Lodge at Spruce Peak can accommodate events with anywhere from 20 to 300 guests. The property features eight indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations. The Lodge features an outdoor terrace complete with fire pits, so you and your guests will be able to enjoy the full Vermont experience.
Accommodations
The Lodge at Spruce Peak features 300 guests rooms and suites, so your wedding party and out-of-town guests will be able to stay and play all in one location. Many rooms also include private balconies, stone fireplaces, and mountain views.

Dreamy venue with the best wedding team!
Our wedding at the Lodge at Spruce Peak was a dream. My husband and I got married there at the beginning of July in 2023. From day 1, the Lodge at Spruce Peak exceeded our expectations. Erin at the Lodge at Spruce Peak gave us the best venue tour we had experienced when we visited in August 2022. It was a 2 hour tour where she showed us every location at the resort for wedding events as well as every type of guest room. My husband and I were in a unique situation that required flexibility - long story short, we weren’t able to lock in a wedding date until about 4 months before the wedding. Erin really took the time to understand our unique situation and get to know us as a couple. We communicated with Erin a lot after the tour and we came up with a plan. She worked her magic and created a flexible wedding contract for us that would allow us to begin the wedding planning process and choose the exact date at a later time. No other venue was willing to work with us like that and we are so grateful for all of Erin’s help.
After we could finally lock in a wedding date, we started working more closely with Danielle who is the wedding co-ordinator at the resort. She was amazing throughout the entire process. Danielle is very professional and knowledgeable. She always had an answer to every one of our questions leading up to the big day. During the wedding weekend, our bridal party were so impressed with Danielle’s organization. She handled every small detail involving our wedding day while ensuring my husband and myself had the most relaxing, stress-free wedding. There were even some small crises that happened on the day of our wedding that I had no idea about until the next day because Danielle handled everything so professionally.
I would highly recommend the Lodge at Spruce Peak for any engaged couple looking for the perfect venue in the mountains. All of our guests could not stop raving about how much they loved their stay at the resort, and our wedding was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.

Elopement Spruce Peak Lodge 9/9/20
My (now husband) and I had been engaged for over a year before the COVID 19 pandemic started forcing couples to adjust their wedding plans. We had an original date of 4/25/20, then rescheduled with our previous Vermont venue to 9/10/20, before we ultimately decided to cancel the wedding indefinitely.
We then decided to elope, staying within Vermont, just us. Luckily we identified the Spruce Peak Lodge. We had never even stayed or even went onto the property. When visiting Stowe years back, we drove by and just said wow, we have to go there sometime!
That was the biggest blessing we had because working with our coordinator, David Hall made everything not only easy, but extremely enjoyable again after all that we had been through.
David somehow created a meaningful vendor/client relationship in just 2 weeks!
Kendall and I truly felt like whole Spruce Peak Lodge team cared about us and we felt like we had a mini family present with us during our time.
We cannot say enough about our time with Spruce Peak Lodge and the team there. The whole time we were there we already felt like we were on our honeymoon!

Perfect wedding experience at The Lodge at Spruce Peak
What an absolutely amazing experience we had working with the Lodge at Spruce Peak to plan our recent October wedding! From planning through the morning after our wedding breakfast reception, Ashley and the Lodge at Spruce Peak staff were a joy to work with and put us at ease that everything would be seamless and perfect.
Planning a destination wedding from afar is a bit challenging, but Ashley walked us through the process step by step and ensured that all of our questions were answered, concerns were eased and that our wedding day was perfect! On the day of our wedding, Ashley ensured that I did not have to worry about a thing as I knew she was there to coordinate everything. I was able to just enjoy the day! The Lodge at Spruce Peak was such a gorgeous location for our wedding and it was such a pleasure to plan our wedding with the Ashley and the staff at the Lodge at Spruce Peak. Thank you so much!

We had a winter wonderland wedding in Stowe in mid-December at the Stowe Mountain Lodge and I cannot say enough great things about the experience! Growing up in Stowe, I always knew I wanted to get married in town but I didn't know exactly where. After getting engaged, I met with Wendy Collins at SML and knew immediately that we were in the right hands and at the right place. We decided early on that we were going to hold both the ceremony and reception at the hotel. We quickly worked through the contract phase and locked in a great room rate with over 90 rooms booked in the hotel. As the planning continued, we decided to host our rehearsal dinner at the SMC Golf Cottage and hosted the welcome party at the skating pavilion so that our guests would not need to leave upon arrival on Friday night. Wendy worked through every detail with me over the 8 months of planning and gave great guidance and help along the way. We communicated by phone and email and had a few in-person meetings in the months leading up to the wedding. Upon arrival at the Stowe Mountain Lodge, all of our guests were treated like royalty and had the absolute best service and loved their rooms. Wendy was with us from Thursday through Sunday and running all events. We had a family style dinner Friday night at the golf cottage. We then met the rest of the guests at the skating pavilion and had everyone skating and mingling in the barn until 10pm. It was so much fun and such a great way to kickoff the weekend. Saturday we woke up in the Front Four Suite and had the "glam squad" from the Stowe Mountain Lodge Spa join us in the suite to do hair and makeup. Everyone looked stunning and it was a relaxed fun environment. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception flowed into each other flawlessly due to our work on the timeline and my husband and I were left to just enjoy everything without any stress. The food was delicious and service perfect! Wish we could do it all again! Highly recommend a wedding at SML!
