Summit Lodge Resort

The Summit Lodge was an incredible venue for our wedding and I could not be any happier that we chose it for our special day. I kept saying to people all night that the venue was continuously exceeding my expectations and everyone agreed! Angela (the general manager) and Emmet (the owner) were so friendly and accommodating from the moment we chose the Summit Lodge as our venue. They were incredible helpful during the planning process and helped the day go smoothly on the day of the wedding. Our guests absolutely loved staying at the Summit Lodge and it had everything that we were looking for in a wedding venue. Plenty of room for most of our guests to stay at, amazing location right in the heart of Killington, tons of outdoor space with pools and lawn to spread out on, a full Irish pub in the basement to keep the party going long into the night, and incredible staff that were so accommodating and who seemed to be having as much fun as we were. If you are looking for an adult summer camp, perfect Vermont wedding, this is the place to pick!

We got married at the Summit Lodge in Killington, Vermont this past August, and it truly could not have been more perfect. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—tucked in the mountains with gorgeous views and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. One of the most unique and amazing parts was being able to have the entire property to ourselves for four days. It made the whole experience feel relaxed, intimate, and so special for us and our guests. From the welcome gathering to the wedding day and everything in between, it felt like our own private mountain retreat.

Angela, the coordinator, was incredible to work with and made the entire process feel seamless. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail came together perfectly. Her support staff, especially Brigitte, were equally amazing—so helpful, organized, and genuinely kind throughout the entire weekend. They made us feel completely taken care of and allowed us to truly enjoy every moment.

The owner, Emmett, was also fantastic and offered so much helpful advice along the way. It was clear how much he cares about the experience couples and their guests have there. Our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything ran—so many people have told us it was their favorite wedding they’ve ever been to. We couldn’t recommend this venue more highly.

We also highly recommend asking about RambleTree, one of their partnered bands that plays Irish music during the winter months, for a late-night set. It was one of the highlights of our wedding and really added to the Irish charm of the whole celebration.

The Summit was upfront about costs which made budgeting for the wedding easy. They were incredibly helpful with planning and logistics and made us feel like we had the resort to ourselves for four straight days.

The grounds are amazing and everyone was so attentive to our needs. The timing was perfect for us to get married outside given it was raining all day. All the guests raved about the food and the professional service for dinner. I can't say enough fantastic things about the Summit Lodge! They gave us the wedding we dreamed of and we are so thankful!

I can not say enough good things about our wedding at Summit Lodge in August of 2022. We wanted something that allowed our guests to enjoy a destination wedding and keep everything in one spot. Summit was the perfect choice. Your venue fee includes complete, exclusive access to the Lodge from Wednesday until Sunday morning. (Room rates are extra but extremely affordable.) Having the lodge to ourselves meant our guests could arrive and stay on-site as early as Wednesday and enjoy the area. It also meant that we (the couple getting married) didn't have to spend our entire wedding making sure we didn't forget a hello. For three nights prior to our big day we drank at the bar, sat by the pool, and roasted marshmellows by the bonfire. By the time the wedding day rolled around, friends and family felt like they had known each other forever. But the real star of this show is the staff. Emmett, Angela, Anna, Jenna, Brigette, Dana (and everyone whose name I can't recall) are the best in the business. They have an answer to every question and work to make sure the wedding party can... party. People still tell us how much they loved our wedding (many have said "best ever") and how much the staff played a part in their experience. We love Summit so much we are already planning a return trip this winter with some of our guests. It felt like home. What more could you ask for when saying "I do"?

Every aspect of our weekend was incredible. Emmett, Angie, Bri, Jenna, and Anna (I know I’m forgetting some- forgive me!) thank you all so so much. You made this weekend unforgettable and seamless. All of our guests could not speak highly enough of every person they encountered. It was truly an unbelievable experience. The food was excellent. They allow for so much flexibility and truly made it a perfect weekend.

Emmett even turned of the rain for us after a 20 minute shower. (;

It was the absolute best day all around! The staff are amazing and everything was to our expectations if not more! Highly recommend having your wedding at The Summit! Our wedding was so beautiful and our experience at The Summit is something we will cherish always! We had our rehearsal dinner there as well and it was absolutely perfect!! They listened to exactly what we wanted and made changes that we wanted without hesitation!

Summit Lodge could not have been more perfect for our wedding weekend (October 2nd, 2021). Having originally met on a ski club trip in Vermont, my now husband and I knew we wanted to be married around Killington. When we found Summit Lodge we knew it was just what we were looking for – a rustic charm, plenty of rooms for our guests, a large dining room, beautiful views, so many amenities and in our wedding budget. Summit is consistently making upgrades and improvements to the property while maintaining its charm. We loved that Summit is only open to the couple and their wedding guests beginning the Wednesday before the wedding. This allowed us so much time to set up and meet with the staff to work through all details and questions for the wedding day. The staff was beyond helpful from making sure we had drinks and food to helping us hang lights in the reception room. Even with a smaller than typical staff we would never have known, everything was seamless and professional. All of our guests loved having the hot tub, pool, sauna, piano, fire places and outdoor games to enjoy on the property. With rain in the forecast for the day of the wedding Emmett and Angie reassured us that there was a rain backup but not to worry. The staff waited to put our chairs out on the lawn but we were blessed to have only overcast skies with no rain by the time our ceremony began. The staff all communicated with each other so well and knew exactly where to be to make sure everything ran smooth. I cannot thank this entire staff enough for such an incredible wedding weekend. All of our family and friends had such a great time and couldn’t say enough good things about the staff. Emmett, Angie, Bri, Chuck, Dave, Anna, Brooke, Dana – thank you so much!! Highly recommend Summit Lodge whether it’s for a regular stay in Killington or for a special event!

I don't even know where to begin about the Summit Lodge. Emmett and his team made our wedding weekend (yes, "weekend" because you have the whole lodge to yourself all weekend!) absolutely incredible and we can't stop talking about it weeks later! If you're looking for a quintessential Vermont lodge with mountains in the background, greenery and flowers everywhere you look, and a beautiful indoor/outdoor reception filled with a wrap-around bar overlooking the deck and pool, yard games and Irish pub with pool table, this is the venue you need. From the very first visit to the day after our wedding, Emmett and his team were responsive, kind, go-with-the-flow, professional and made our dream wedding come true. The food was also absolutely delicious!

Emmett said that we had the biggest wedding the Summit Lodge has seen to date (~190 guests) and we never would have known. His team served all of our needs without a hiccup and we're still getting texts/calls from guests saying how wonderful everyone was!

The best part of the night was heading downstairs to O'Dwyer's Pub for the after party where we had late night snacks and shot-skis. Once everyone was over-tired and ready for bed, our guests had a short walk right upstairs to stay in their adorable rooms right there at the Summit Lodge.

I could go on and on about this place but you'll have to see it for yourself because pictures do not do it justice! It was the best weekend of our lives and it was all thanks to the Summit Lodge!
