Basin Harbor Resort offers nine indoor and outdoor wedding spaces to suit groups of all sizes, from 30 to 300 guests. Whether you’re envisioning a relaxing lakeside gathering or a lavish ballroom reception, Basin Harbor has a space to suit your needs.
Accommodations
Basin Harbor offers 74 distinctive cottages ranging in size from studio to 3 bedroom, sleeping up to eight people. Each cottage features unique decor offering the feeling of a secluded summer home, while being just steps away from dining and outdoor activities.
Services Offered
When you book your event at Basin Harbor, you’ll enjoy the services of the resort’s on-site wedding planner. The resort also handles set up and clean up ensuring a stress-free celebration with friends and family. Wifi is available on-site, and the resort is pet friendly. Basin Harbor provides barware, flatware, china, glassware, tables and linens. Complete bar services are provided by the resort.
Cuisine
Chef Bonnivier specializes in fresh, local ingredients and is known for harmonizing unique ingredients and flavors. Chef Bonnivier has worked at some of the world’s finest restaurants. In true Vermont style, the resort’s menus change with New England’s seasons to fully utilize the freshest ingredients from local farmers. Built in 1886, Basin Harbor has served as a New England retreat for more than 130 years. It is part of the Historic Hotels of America National Trust for Historic Preservation.

We love Basin Harbor! Their expansive property has so many varied settings that no two weddings are alike; you could have an elegant tented affair or a casual lakeside party, or anything in between. The cabins set along the lake look rustic, but are delightfully modernized and comfortable; perfect for guests and prep spaces. We especially love the front lawn by the dining room that overlooks the harbor! Soaring trees and lovely evening light makes it the perfect spot for a cocktail hour.
The Basin Harbor Club is one of the few gems in Vermont. It's truly unique. The staff is very professional, accommodating, and personable. The BHC provides a beautiful venue that has breathtaking views, numerous activities and great amenities for guests. I have enjoyed every minute at BHC and consider it one of the premier New England wedding venues.
Natural beauty, comfortable elegance, and an absolute TOP NOTCH staff make this one of my favorite wedding venues in the whole state. Its location makes it a wonderful place to shoot, with golden light streaming through the trees, and reflecting off the shimmering harbor. I love BHC, and so will you!
