You cannot go wrong with this venue. First of all, the venue itself is breathtaking. I’m not kidding when I say some of our photos look photoshopped, the backdrops from every angle are truly that gorgeous. I think it is impossible to get a bad photo at this venue. But the main reason that we loved this venue is the owners- Diane and her husband Tom. From the first time we visited, it felt like Diane was on our team. She truly went above and beyond to make our day special. From little things like making sure she had our timeline should something happen with our coordinator, to lending items, suggesting things based on past weddings, adding lights to the lawn so we could use our games at night, and even helping solve personal problems that arose. I warned every vendor that my mom would spend the whole night running around and trying to do everything that needed doing, but after our wedding she told me that she loved Diane and needed to leave her a review herself because she could truly sit down and relax. That’s how on top of everything Diane is. She truly paid attention to every single detail and took responsibility of so many things that went above and beyond. If you’re considering Stoneyman Valley Ranch, just do it! You will not regret it.

My husband and I live in the northern Virginia area and when looking for wedding venues we were pretty discouraged by the options it seemed that every venue was high in price and low in accommodations. When we first toward Stoneyman Valley Ranch we were in awe at how gorgeous the property and the barn is. It really is an added bonus that stony man Valley Ranch provides tables linens placesettings silverware glasses as well as decor. Diane really does work with her couples to make sure that they are getting the best value for their money. I think throughout the process there were some unneeded recommendations, but I believe that that’s because Diane truly cares about her couples. I would recommend Stoneyman Valley Ranch, I would just like to note that it is in the middle of nowhere and there are not many lodging accommodations nearby so we also booked the Mimslyn Inn which is only about 15 minutes from Stoneyman!

We recently had our wedding at Stoneyman on June 12th, 2021 and couldn't have asked for a better venue. The venue is breath taking itself - from the mountain views on multiple side to the beautiful, fairly new barn - but the best part about Stoneyman is by far the owners - Diane and Tom. They go the extra mile at least ten different times and probably even MORE than that for your big day - I've heard so many stories I had no idea about of little things on our wedding day they helped with (since as the bride and groom we're pretty busy on your day) and each of them Diane and Tom came through as the day savers without thinking twice. We had a family emergency right before our wedding day too which prevented my husbands father from attending our wedding and they offered several times for us to come back in the future and take pictures with him and "relive" the day. We appreciate that more than they'll ever know.

Planning a wedding in general is stressful, exciting, emotional, overwhelming, and expensive - Stoneyman is an incredible value for everything you get (one of the most affordable venues we looked at) and they make the whole process SO MUCH easier by being so flexible and accommodating! We can't thank Diane and Tom enough for everything they did on our big day - they will forever be family to us. I can say with 100% certainty our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without them being a part of it. As a local wedding videographer in the area, I travel to many different venues and see a lot of wonderful places. Stoneyman Valley Ranch is BREATHTAKING! I could not take my eyes off the backdrop for the wedding ceremony. The country setting included rolling hills, a great looking barn, and the spectacular mountains of the Shenandoah National Park. Of course, the weather and lighting were PERFECT as well. Even though I was working, I truly enjoyed my time here. In fact, EVERYONE had a great time here. Diane and Tom Hirsch owners of this venue are SUPER FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL.They went out of their way to make the wedding day enjoyable, stress free, and PERFECT for the couple! In fact, Tom drove us to the top of the hill to film and photograph sunset footage with the bride and groom. He pulled out his phone and played the couples favorite song while they slow danced in the field! It was one great moment of many! I could go on, but hopefully you get my point by now. You will have AMAZING views, DELICIOUS food, and IMPECCABLE service! Stoneyman Valley Ranch will NOT disappoint! I'm already looking forward to the next time I get to film there! My daughter got married during the Covid-19 pandemic August 15, 2020 and Diane did everything right. She provided hand sanitizer and made sure we had everything we needed to keep everyone safe. I highly recommend this venue because we were allowed to make all the decisions for making the perfect wedding for my daughter and son in law, use the dance floor, have a cookie table, etc...It was very affordable with no hidden fees, very spacious and so beautiful. The rain prevented us from having the ceremony outside, but Diane and her crew quickly made the switch at the last minute and pulled it off in 15 minutes. She was so helpful throughout the entire process, always responded quickly by phone and email, had a spread sheet with all the information that we needed, gave us great suggestions, it was like having a personal wedding planner. She made sure everything went smoothly. She also has some decorations and drink dispensers which we used at no extra cost. They provided all the tables and very nice chairs, dance floor, bar, linens, plates, silverware, fire pit, changing area for bride and groom, clean bathrooms, and beautiful scenery for photos.

We simply had a perfect wedding day on this beautiful property. Everything was spectacular and working with Diane and Tom was wonderful. The owners were so easy to work with and they did absolutely everything to ensure our day was perfect for us. They truly care about their couples. The barn is beautiful & the property and views are amazing. Thank you so very much for everything. I highly recommend this venue!

Our daughter, Katie, had her wedding at Stoneyman Valley Ranch at the end of October and it turned out that hers was the first event held at this brand new venue in Luray, VA. We were delighted with the way everything turned out.

Katie and her fiancé wanted an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful, rural setting. Stoneyman Valley Ranch is located below Skyline Drive with beautiful views of the mountains and farmland all around. There are a few options for the ceremony site and they chose to have theirs in front of a small stream that runs behind the newly built barn with the rolling hills in the background. The owners, Diane and Tom, provided a beautiful arbor and ensured that the area was nicely groomed. They also provided golf-cart rides to elderly attendees for the short ride from the parking lot to the seating area.

The barn was specifically built to host receptions and they put a lot of thought into all the details. There is a nice room for the bride and her attendants to get ready and the loft is the perfect spot for the groom's party to hang out before the ceremony. The chandelier and drop lighting in the barn helped create an elegant atmosphere for the reception and the chandeliers are visible from the road as guests arrive. We requested setup for 170 guests. With 17 large, round tables, there was plenty of room for buffet-style food service, a gift table, cake table, appetizers and a favor table. The floor is smooth concrete with a beautiful wood dance floor that easily accommodated our crowd. We were given plenty of time to decorate the day before and the owners offered suggestions and helped us get everything in place even when we had some last-minute changes.

Diane, Tom and their family went out of their way to make sure Katie and Keagan's wedding went smoothly and according to their vision. Any issues that cropped up were taken care of immediately without the bride or the guests knowing. Diane and Tom have shared some of their future plans for the venue, and we think Stoneyman Valley Ranch will quickly become the most popular wedding venue in the Luray area. We look forward to visiting again in a couple of years to see what they've added.

Lastly, Luray is a great place to get married. Plenty to do in the area if your guests like outdoor activities and want to make a weekend of it. Close enough to Baltimore and DC for a weekend destination wedding.
