We had such an amazing experience, every planning and design meeting was a blast and felt like we were just out chatting with one of our best friends instead of making huge decisions that would significantly impact our wedding.

The design Gretchen meticulously put together was unimaginably gorgeous and so perfectly captured the aesthetic we both dreamt of for a winter wedding. We wanted to lean into our love of the season without dragging out anything reminiscent of the holiday season. Gretchen did miss a single detail along the way, everything was thought of, communicated, planned-for, handled, and executed perfectly.

Gretchen brought with her so much knowledge of the wedding landscape in the Twin Cities and expertly guided us through every decision, from venue to caterer down to glassware and flatware. We had specific desires, especially regarding arguably minute details. We ended up with exactly what we wanted, every single time.

Beyond all of that amazing work, having Gretchen there on the day of our wedding was priceless. Everything was exactly where it needed to be, exactly when it needed to be there. It was important to us that our wedding be well-executed and that our guests be wowed by the event. It's been over three months and it's still the first thing everyone brings up when we talk.

Rocket Science weddings is the main reason why my wedding was the perfect day! I got married last May and for the year of our engagement, my job became crazy. I was working all of the time and did not have much time to plan a wedding. Gretchen and her team were so helpful to make sure that every detail was in order and designed the wedding of our dreams. She listened to our story, what we envisioned for our wedding and understood my dilemma with timing. She had me be as involved or uninvolved as I wanted, making it such an enjoyable planning experience. Also, Rocket Science will literally find a way to make ANY type of dream wedding. My husband and I are both very casual and wanted a huge party for our wedding- she helped design and recreate the bar we met at complete with smashed peanuts on the ground, craft beer and a polka band for our cocktail reception. For us, this was perfect! And on the other side of the spectrum she made a beautiful romantic ceremony and awesome family style dinner for the reception. With our early mornings, late nights and crazy schedules we knew that a planner was necessary to pull off the wedding we were hoping for. Many people resist investing in a planner because of the cost. I just need to tell everyone out there: I guarantee hiring Gretchen will be the best money you will spend in terms of wedding expenses! Not only is she amazingly creative with both planning the details and her floral arrangements, but she also understands how to work with what you have. Josh and I made the 2nd most important decision of our wedding by hiring her! (The most important decision, of course, was saying 'I do'!) From the very beginning, I had a clear vision for what I wanted, but Gretchen brought more to that vision that I could’ve ever imagined. The details that Gretchen helped coordinate, couches for the cocktail hour, Sweet Martha’s cookies butler passed in Sweet Martha’s cookie containers, using a DJ and a band, floral decoration on the patio, an amenities basket in the bathroom, etc. all ended up being what our guests remembered and loved about our wedding.
