Adore Makeup Boutique + Salon is a wedding hair and makeup boutique based in Austin, Texas. Rhea McCarter, the owner and makeup artist, founded the salon in 2012 and has over 13 years of experience in makeup artistry. Rhea and her team specialize in hair and makeup services, as well as brow microblading. The team works to highlight each client's natural features with Victoria's Secret-inspired beauty styling. It was so important to me to find a HMU team that didn't have a heavy hand when it came to makeup. Shirley was so kind and helpful. She was very responsive over email and we even shared a conversation about how important wedding makeup is that you still look like yourself. She truly did a perfect job of making me look and feel beautiful and I never felt odd or awkward at the amount of makeup I had on. She and Perla did my hair + makeup and my bridesmaids HMU and we all had such a great experience. Perla did my hair exactly how I had pictured it and it stayed all night despite lots of dancing! :)
I am so thankful for the Adore team and cannot recommend them enough!

Loved them!
I'm so glad I used Adore for my wedding hair and makeup! Coordinating with Shirley was easy, and she was very flexible and gracious when I needed another trial run for my hair and makeup. All of my bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup as well- their team also did touch-ups on hair/makeup before leaving which was *chefs kiss* because some people had their hair done early in the morning. Our wedding was in May and everyone still looked perfect at the end of the day. 10/10 would recommend

Becky and Michael were great!
I’m so glad that I went with Adore for hair and makeup for my wedding! Coordinating with Shirley went super smoothly, and as a result we got paired with Becky for hair and Michael for makeup. Both were absolutely wonderful to work with and did fantastic work! They did hair and makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids, our flower girl, and the mothers of the bride and groom. A lot of work for sure, but they did a great job on everyone. I was aiming for a more natural look in makeup, which Michael was able to deliver on beautifully. Becky did different hair fit for each of the ladies, and as a result everyone was comfortable and beautiful. Take into account the very reasonable pricing, and they can’t be beat.

Makenna rocks!
I worked with Makenna for our wedding makeup. She is amazing! We were focused on bringing out natural beauty in our looks and she rocked it. Myself, the girls, and the moms all loved their looks and everyone rocked their confidence all evening with any makeup budging. We loved working with Adore and Makenna

The Groom Has Some Thoughts
It is 1:45am on a Wednesday and I am the GROOM, and instead of sleeping I feel like it is more important that I tell you how awesome this Hair and Makeup service is. I obviously think my wife is the most beautiful person on the planet, but I can fully admit that my brain exploded out of my head when I saw her walking down the aisle. If this was the 1600's, this salon would be on high alert for witch trials because I still don't understand the witchcraft that was done with the Bobby Pins I pulled out my wife's hair for roughly 90 minutes. I don't understand hair and makeup well enough to talk objectively about the service, but I can say as a groom I straight up blacked out from joy when they opened those doors and I saw my wife walking down the aisle.

Friendly and fantastic!
Adore was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator Kate Stanley, and they lived up to her rave reviews. Shirley and Terra were friendly, professional, and talented staff they made me feel beautiful on my trial day and day of the wedding. They also listened to all of my feedback with a smile, even when I second guessed myself on certain looks/styles. And most importantly, the look lasted all night long for my wedding! Even through hours of wild dancing. Thank you Adore!

Just what I wanted and more!
Wow!! Adore is a MUST for your wedding day! I've never ever liked my make up as much as I did when Perla did it on my big day! The Adore coordinators made planning easy and were sooo flexible/helpful when we had to postpone for COVID-19. On the night, my hair stayed put all night and was absolutely beautiful. My bridesmaid raved about it endlessly. Thank you times a million for making my dream wedding look come true

I've never felt more beautiful
Hair and makeup are a huge piece of a bride's big day, and I am so, so glad I chose Rhea and Adore to do mine. I had a loose vision of what I wanted to look like for my wedding, but Rhea and Sarah helped me nail down a specific look through an easy and fun trial, as well as lots of photo and inspiration sharing. They were both sweet, professional and SO FREAKING talented! I wanted an enhanced natural look (I wanted to look like me, not super glam), and they both nailed it. I wish they could be my beauty squad every day, because I have never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day. (And I think my 7 bridesmaids would say the same about how they felt!) YES to wedding hair!
Kelsey, Shirley and Rhea are your go to ladies for wedding day services. I was working with Shirley from the coordination perspective and she is so quick to answer emails and provide guidance. I never waited more than 24 hours to get a response from her. I did a hair trial at their studio with Kelsey. I must admit that I am very picky and Kelsey made each tweak as requested and wanted me to leave there with full confidence. On the wedding day, it looked even more stunning than the trial day. She stayed on time and kept us girls laughing and had a great time. The entire team at Adore are professionals and they offer on-site services or you can go to their studio close to downtown.
