My wedding planner recommended Bonita Brides, and I'm so glad I took her advice and booked this team!! My stylist was Kaitlin and from my trial with her, I knew we were going to be a great fit! Kaitlin worked with me to come up with a hairstyle that would accommodate florals as well as a gajra, which is a traditional jewelry piece placed in the hair of Indian brides. I was a false lashes newbie and Kaitlin was instrumental in me learning how to be comfortable in false lashes! She gave me tips on how to get used to them during the trial and we worked together to figure out the right density of lashes so they felt natural, so on the wedding day I wasn't tripped up by them at all!

On the wedding day, we had hair & makeup for 5 members of the bridal party, 3 moms, and the Groom's styling all done by the Bonita Brides team. They arrived right on time and were such a fun group to be around all day. They helped me calm my nerves by chatting with me during setup, and then kept everyone in the bridal suite on schedule so we were even able to get hair & makeup done ahead of schedule and have extra time to relax before photos! Everyone's hair & makeup lasted through a super warm day, an outdoor ceremony, outfit changes for all the girls, and lots of dancing in warm weather!

Bonita Brides did a stunning job with me and my bridesmaids 💞 A special shoutout to Cassidy for her personalized approach! We blasted music and spoke candidly about the quirky vibe I was going for.

For hair: I knew my hair was flat, baby fine, soft etc. but I still wanted to do something amazing with my hair. I knew I’d be dancing and having DDR at my wedding. So I wanted something that would HOLD and WOW! So she was so real with me when she said my hair wasn’t going to a hold a curl and had other ideas- I am so happy I listened! Since I had long hair and wanted to still make a statement we decided to do a double rose bun 🌹🌹it was so cool because she curled my hair FIRST to give me the volume my hair desperately needed as she braided - then for added fun, the buns could be taken down into 2 AMAZING braids!!! She used a flat iron to curl the ends and my hair held all night!!!!
For make up:
We spoke candidly about how I wanted COLOR 🧡💙💛 she was so fun and down to experiment during our hair & make up trial. Day of, we decided to go with a sunset sparkle look and my bottom lashes were like an ocean. She mixed 2 different strip lashes to make my eyes pop and It was the coolest look ever.

One of the greatest vendor decisions I made was with Bonita Brides! Our wedding was in the Austin area, but I don't live there, so it was a challenge to schedule my trial, but Sara was super accommodating and made it work for a weekend I was in Austin before the wedding. And WOW was I blown away with how good my hair and makeup looked! I KNEW I had made the right choice. I had immediate trust in her to bring my visions for each look to life during the weekend weekend, as well as for my bridesmaids and mom. Every picture I sent for each look, looked exactly like the picture and better! My bridesmaids had all different length of hair and wanted all different styles, but Sara and Denise delivered and working within the time frame we needed. We didn't feel rushed, we felt relaxed and confident the whole time. From my mom's very short hair, to my friend with extensions and myself with a halo extension, Bonita Brides can style it all. Bonita Brides was such a great fit for my wedding day. I was a pandemic bride and had to postpone my wedding by a whole year and Sara and her team were extremely understanding and flexible.

Now on to the details. I did a trial session with Sara the summer before my wedding and came out of it knowing I wanted something totally different for my actual wedding day. I didn't feel right in the more dramatic makeup in my engagement photos, so on wedding day, we went very natural, warm and soft. I also ended up doing an updo instead of my hair down as originally planned. Sara was great about listening to my feedback and changed my look so I would feel beautiful and natural on my wedding day.

Her team on wedding day also did a wonderful job with my bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law. Sara actually did me a really big solid with adding my mother-in-law on wedding day as her original hair/makeup plans fell through. It was a relief knowing that was one less thing I had to worry about.

I loved working with Sara and her team throughout my wedding and would recommend them to anyone. They made me feel and look beautiful on such an important day.

p.s. - my hair and makeup looked FLAWLESS from start to finish on wedding day through a ton of dancing. A true feat of skill and magic.

Words cannot express the amazing job Sara Hernandez did on my wedding day!! She had done the wedding for my one my best friends back in April and I was OBSESSED!!! I immediately booked a trail and booked. Was one of the best decisions I made for myself for the wedding. She is personable and makes you feel comfortable right off the back. She did almost all my bridesmaids and mother of the bride/groom and everyone looked insanely gorgeous. I have never felt more beautiful than I did that day and it was in large part to her.
