Plant Office is a flower-forward botanical design studio and boutique in Portland, Maine. We specialize in collaborating with our clients to create memorable environments for their special day. Lead design and owner John Sundling has been working as a florist since 2011 and has been in the professional design industry since 2005, combining their experience in theatrical design with their love of floristry. As a founding member of Maine Flower Collective, Plant Office is committed to using locally grown flowers as much as possible. We work best with clients who give us the trust to select the best flowers, textures, and foliage available for their event, and we’re willing to work on bringing in something special from away that will make your day more reflective of what’s important to you. In the colder months when local flowers are unavailable, we source directly from the New England Flower Exchange, making the drive to Boston each week through the winter.

Our designs tend to be fun & celebratory of what makes each passing week of the season different. We love working with colorful palettes & unexpected textures, but we pride ourselves on having the skills & experience that allow us to put our client’s visions first. As a professional florist, our first job isn’t to express our own aesthetics but to create something for our couples that is an extension of their taste.
