Cassie and her team did so much to help us plan our wedding when COVID hit and we needed to change everything up. The best thing we did was hire Cassie and her team. Unless you’re a professional event planner, wedding planning goes from being so fun to a stressful nightmare very quickly. Thank goodness Cassie was around to give me guidance and an organized plan from the get go. My now-husband and I worked with her for over 16 months to get our day just right and she nailed every last detail. Like when I lost the hooks for our photo booth and then finally found them but they were too short? Or when our keg leaked everywhere before the event? Cassie had DIY’d the perfect solutions before I ever realized there was a problem. If I could do it all over again I’d have Cassie plan our whole wedding weekend! Hiring her was seriously our best decision, that and the late night coffee cart ;)

I used this site a bit while planning our wedding so thought I’d give back by writing a review for the worlds best wedding planner. It’s tough to even say just how excellent Cassie is. We always knew Maine would be the spot for our wedding, but living in New York with jobs that keep us at the office all night made planning sound stressful and near impossible. We interviewed about five planners and based on Cassie’s aesthetic, her warm personality and modern, tech-forward approach, she was our pick. And did we get lucky! We did not pose an easy task either, with buses, boats, small islands and limited lodging, the logistics were challenging and the risks were high (weather!) Cassie never made us feel like our vision wasn’t possible and we trusted her until the very end which gave us the most perfect weekend of our lives and our families and friends lives. The day of our wedding every vendor we spoke to was well briefed and we could tell they had spoken to Cassie. Our family now jokes when amazing things happen that Cassie must still be working. Thank you to her, her husband and her team for their amazing, endless work and don’t even stop and think before hiring them. Just do it!

I spoke with maybe 5 planners and everyone had great reviews, but something in my gut told me to hire Cassie and boy am I glad we did. It is probably the single best decision we made about our wedding day.

We had several meetings leading up to our wedding - some virtual on Google Hangout and one in person at our venue. They were always extremely helpful in working through the details of the event and any of the big or small decisions that we had to make. Cassie was always prepared for our calls with the things she wanted to run through, took detailed notes, and provided great direction for me to continue moving forward with the planning elements I was working on. Every time we met, including our rehearsal, I was so impressed with how thorough she was and the things she would think of that we never would have. It ensured every little detail was accounted for ahead of time.

The day of the event, Cassie and Mattie were just a dream. My husband and I (and our families) were able to relax and enjoy the day and didn’t have to think about or take care of a single thing. They were on top of everything. My mother and mother in law have both mentioned so many times since the wedding how amazing they were.

From organizing all of the other vendors and executing on the decisions we had made…..to setting up and breaking down the venue…it was just all done and done extremely well. Cassie even thought of the little things, like grabbing our seating place cards that said bride and groom and tucking them away for us to save as a keepsake.

I want to throw another big party of some kind just so I can work with Cassie again.

Cassie helped with the day of coordination of our non-traditional wedding. We had a lot of moving parts and many things to orchestrate and Cassie absolutely crushed every last detail. We also had an unexpected no show in one of our furniture rentals and Cassie was able to seamlessly handle it so that we had no idea it happened until she politely informed us the day after.

It was incredible to work with someone so professional and thoughtful; we are so thankful to have worked with her.

I was hesitant to hire a planner as I already knew everything I wanted to do for my wedding, but since we were planning on a short timeframe and from afar I thought it would be helpful to work with someone local who could provide insight on vendors, give recommendations, etc.

I am very grateful we hired Cassie with Doting and Details as she went above and beyond her Day of Coordinator role to help us pull off an amazing event with only 90 days of prep! We established a rapport immediately over the phone, which was something I struggled with when talking to other planners and coordinators - many of whom seemed to think my budget was beneath them (um we could definitely be driving a really nice brand new car with that budget, thank you!) or that the timeline would be impossible. Cassie listened to my vision and cheerfully assisted me in prioritizing and organizing, two things I'm not the best at. Since we already had a style, vision, colors, etc in mind, we just needed to choose the best vendors we felt could execute and Cassie was so helpful making recommendations and doing site visits since we were out of town. When we finally met in person, it was like visiting an old friend - one who was genuinely excited for us, unlike some of the planners we had talked with who treated us like idiots for planning a wedding in Maine's peak season without a year's notice. Yes, we did have some bumps in the road - planning a wedding is never easy - but Cassie was always there to help us with plan B. Overall our wedding was a huge success and everyone is still raving about every detail - details that Cassie was more than helpful in overseeing on the chaos that is the wedding day. We couldn't have done it without her, and highly recommend her services!

Life is crazy and I didn’t get to sharing my thoughts on Cassie Fier of Doting and Details as soon as I should have, but here we go. So many people had expressed the importance of having a wedding planner/coordinator for your big day, even if it’s only for just that day. We decided that somewhere in between full planning and a day-of coordinator would be perfect for us, since we were planning from clear across the country, had secured our vendors, and I had a particular vision in mind since I was a little girl. All in all, we cannot thank Cassie enough. Her passion and talent for what she does is so evident from the very first exchange. Her calm, collected, thoughtfully-detailed, and creative approach kept me calm amidst the chaos of planning a wedding from across the country, while my fiancé was all around. It was so easy to bounce ideas off of her and have honest, realistic feedback delivered in such a manner it was as if she was in my head. Planning a wedding is certainly difficult when you have such a picture in your head that you have to try to communicate to everyone else, yet Cassie just seemed to get it. Each time I finished chatting with her, I had a smile on my face and sense of peace. Although neither of us (Cassie or myself) had visited our venue, let alone met in person, until a few weeks before the wedding - it never seemed to phase her. And there was the wedding. The day of was perfect. Not once did I feel uncertain in her execution, which ultimately allowed me to truly enjoy the day. We honestly could not have had such a perfect day without her.

When I first contacted Cassie, I was just DONE with wedding planning. Between Pinterest, WeddingWire, the Knot, WedHappy, and friends and family all giving their ideas trying to be helpful, I could no longer see the forest through the trees. My head was spinning. I communicated with a few planners, however most of them wanted to take over the planning entirely, when I had actually done a big majority of the work already and their pricing wasn’t reasonable. From first email, Cassie was efficient and professional. She appreciated my hectic schedule and worked with me to find a time to meet. During our first appointment, I spent around two hours with her discussing my vision for our wedding and what I was hoping to accomplish. She had an extensive checklist and helped me to wrap my head around everything. She offered guidance when I was stuck and offered expert opinions when I asked for her advice. She never made me feel uncomfortable, judged, or that I was making the wrong decision. What I wanted was what she wanted and she was fully supportive! In the following days after our meeting, I found and booked the remaining vendors we needed. She gave excellent advice and was truly a breath of fresh air. She assisted in helping me to hear my own voice and sort out what my fiance and I wanted versus what everyone else wanted for us. Now I am excited about wedding planning again, and I’m no longer dreading it. My fiance even said this is the first time he’s seen me smile for wedding planning in a while. The absolute best decision we made was to hire Cassie. Our reception venue was one of those places where nothing was included, and she miraculously handled setup and cleanup in less than 24 hours (and also set up and took down a dozen chairs at the ceremony site on the water, quite far from the parking lot – I still don’t know how she had time to squeeze that in). She also met with us twice before the wedding, and the questions she asked were critical in helping me figure out the extent of my to do list, as well as the things that weren't that important. Knowing that we (and our parents) could rely on Cassie made a world of difference to everyone involved – and, in addition to being thorough and organized, she was friendly, thoughtful, and lots of fun to be around. I just wished we lived in the same place so we could be friends in real life!
