As a child I always felt “different.” In pre-school we were asked to draw what we wanted to be when we grew up. I drew a squiggle of green and said I wanted to be a broccoli princess (actually this is kind of a lie. It’s actually something else more vague and impossible as a career but still related to broccoli. I just can’t recall what it is right now.). I became obsessed with the Beatles when I was 8 years old. When I was 10 the X-Files was my favorite show. In high school I was more interested in history (I interned as a costumed interpreter at Old Sturbridge Village and briefly considered somehow becoming a Civil War re-enactor) and music than drinking or partying. A lot of times I was frustrated at this – I couldn’t help being who I was, but it often put me at the bottom of the popularity food chain.
Thankfully now I’m grateful I stuck to my guns and stubbornly refused to be anyone else but me. As a result of all that, today I am independent, fearless, carefree, and joyously happy! Every day I live my life in the awesomest way I can. I meet people from all walks of life. I embrace different perspectives and lifestyles. I understand what it’s like to be different. I try not to take a single moment for granted – and this makes life one great big adventure!
I try bring a unique perspective to everything I photograph. Every person, couple, wedding, and event is different, and this needs to be celebrated!
Life is about adventures. Let me capture yours.

Laura was incredible - don't look anywhere else (stop searching for photographers now, seriously). Not only is Laura a talented photographer, but also she is incredibly professional, prepared, and detail-oriented. When I told her that I was interested in proposing at the New York Public Library, she helped me structure the proposal, discussed best practices, and developed a plan to ensure that my fiancee wouldn't find out...We loved working with her, she made everything seamless, fun, and memorable. Wow.

Laura did our engagement photos outside Hayden Planetarium in New York City. The pictures are AMAZINGLY phenomenal and made us cry with joy. Laura was SO fun to work with, easy to communicate with, organized and her prices were worth every penny. She was referred to us by another photographer friend and we are so grateful she was the one who captured this special moment in our lives. We have give her 100 starts if we could. Thanks Laura!!

I cannot take credit for finding Laura. My now husband found her for his surprise proposal. After our experience with her, we decided she HAD to be our wedding photographer. We were even willing to fly her where ever we got married (we did end up getting married in NYC).
Laura does amazing work. Even more than that, she is easy to work with and has a great personality. She is funny and when you talk to her, she treats you more like a friend than a client. She responds quickly to emails and phone calls. And she works her butt off during the event! Her assistant, Sarah, who worked at our wedding was great too!
When this review asks me if I would recommend her to a friend, I wish there was a "Hell, yes" option.
I met Laura at a wedding nearly a year ago when she was new to the New York area. I was impressed by her vision and the shots she was taking and I followed her blog and her work thereafter. Aside from being an absolute sweetheart, Laura is exceptionally talented. I have sent clients to her for various photo shoots and I am always impressed by the photos. Check her out!
