We were initially put in touch with Sam for our consultation. Sam was attentive and flexible leaving a good feeling in our gut to move forward with them for our NYE wedding.

Upon signing our contract, Sam put us in touch with their associate Fennel. We took a couple meetings to walk them both through our plans for the day of our wedding and they provided thoughtful feedback that made our schedule even better. They both know their stuff and were intent on making our day run smoothly and were determined to get as much content shot as we could given our budget and time constraints.

When the day of arrived Fennel flew around barely noticeable. They have a remarkable skill of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and not feeling like a camera is in your face during our more intimate moments. They were able to provide quick on your feet decisions to make for the best shot and we were feeling confident we got what we wanted from the shoot by the end of the day.

Then the photos arrived. We're screaming. We're crying. We're throwing up. To say we are overjoyed is a massive understatement. These capture the day in such a vibrant, beautiful way we can almost hear them. Perfection. We thank Sam and Fennel from the bottom of our heart for immortalizing this day for us. We are overjoyed.

I can't adequately express in words how talented Sam is. They have an amazing eye for blending art and reality. My concern for wedding photography was that it would be cheesy and overdone. Sam does not know how to take a bad photo. Every single one of our wedding pictures capture life in motion and beauty. I cannot recommend Sam enough.

On my wedding day, Sam put me at ease with their kindness, thoughtfulness, humor, and as sort of a confidante. If you think about it, your wedding photographer follows the 2 of you closer than anyone else on your wedding day, and I came to really appreciate and even count on their presence as a place to center and share in excitement. The ease Sam gave me really shows in the photos!
Personally, I get extremely anxious in front of a camera. I'm notoriously difficult to capture—it's sort of a joke with my loved ones. The idea of being photographed *all day* for my wedding was therefore...a concept!
The fact that Sam was able to deliver photos that I felt were stunning and was excited to share? Basically, nothing short of a miracle. I can't recommend them enough.

We could not have asked for more in a photographer. From the start, we had a specific vision for our wedding and wanted something very special and personal to us. As soon as we reached out, Sam took the time to speak with us, ask questions, and truly understand. They just GOT it and were as excited for our vision as we were. I immediately felt like we were in good hands. They were communicative and responsive through the whole process. Every time we spoke, it was like a weight was lifted from our shoulders.

As for the photography itself, there are no words. They captured us and our vision perfectly and (most importantly) we had so much fun in the time we spent together. They were so intuitive— every special moment, they were right there, ready to capture it. Talented, professional, reassuring, and willing to go above and beyond. If we could go back and do it over, we’d choose Sam every. single. time.

Sam was wonderful from the moment we met. After having to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and search for a new photographer, Sam was ready to step in and make our vision come true. They were communicative and open in their conversation, always working to make us feel heard and comfortable. Sam checked in every step of the way in the planning and on the day of, Sam was a dream. Not only was Sam everywhere, capturing everything, they were also an anchor of calm, helping guide us through the day, and making sure we were where we needed to be, all while reminding us that this day revolved around us. Of course, the photos are the important part, and they are stunning. So stunning, that I have had an incredible hard time picking which to frame and which to put in photo books because I love them all. 10/10 would recommend hiring Sam for your wedding, or for a fun photoshoot at home.

From the day we started scheming with Sarah about our proposal (which we hired her to photograph) to the day of our engagement, Sarah was incredibly responsive, flexible, and supportive. And, during our shoot, Sarah made us feel comfortable in front of the camera with her direction - Sarah focused on making us look great so that we could be in the moment, which was such a gift to us. And, before we knew it, our beautiful photos were ready to view on a custom website for us. As a queer couple, it's so important to us to feel comfortable throughout the process, and we truly did. We chose Sarah for their excellent professional reputation within the LGBTQ community, and we couldn't have been happier - we hope to ask Sarah to photograph our wedding.

What can we say? Sam is AMAZING! They took unique and interesting photos for such a reasonable price, and added to the fun of our weekend. It felt like having an old friend directing our photoshoots!

We met Sam almost a year prior to our wedding to do engagement photos, which I didn't think I wanted but my wife talked me into. However, it's been so fun having those photos to look back on!

Then we met up with them for dinner and a drink to talk over the plan for the weekend. They scouted locations for us and kept in mind what we were saying we wanted. The family pics came out absolutely beautiful (despite a little hiccup with the location and timing), but the emphasis was on what we truly wanted: beautiful couples photos, candids of ourselves and our friends and family having fun, and snapshots of the most important memories of the day.

I would be shocked if they haven't raised their prices by now since their services were so awesome, but it's totally worth it!

I can not recommend Sam enough! Sam came to the town where we live to do our engagement photo shoot last year. I am so happy we did that because we got to get to know each other and we loved having the photos for our Save the Date card and wedding website. Then, on the wedding day, Sam’s calm energy, positivity, and "go with the flow" demeanor made the day feel so much more relaxed and enjoyable. It was also so great that Sam was organized, knowledgeable about the flow of wedding and could work with our wedding coordinator to make everything feel like it went seamlessly and flawlessly. I just felt like everything was in such good hands and could read and enjoy the event. Then, we got the edited phots back and we were blown away! The perspective, lighting, and colors were gorgeous, the photos had such a vintage/cool feel. I am already trying to think of reasons to have Sam take pictures of us again in the future!

I had the privilege of working with Sam at a special wedding with a strong social justice (feminist/anti-racist) message. I was grateful to have such a seasoned pro on the team with incredible energy and focus who honors the values of love and camaraderie in everything they do. When it comes to pictures, they know how to capture the essence of each brilliant couple as well as all the fun and memorable wedding moments. Sarah was an absolute joy to work with. She knew what we wanted better then we did! The energy, love and joy of that special night was captured at every turn, beautiful images of our family and friends, our first moment seeing each other, the food and environment... all preserved in photos we will enjoy and share for a lifetime. Sam is incredibly talented at capturing those tender, intimate moments shared by couples on what can sometimes be a high-energy, stressful day. After seeing their work of a wedding my sister officiated, I was blown away!
