They made a point of getting to know us as a couple and worked with us to figure out a budget and timeline that would work for our wedding day. They were (and continue to be!) very communicative every step of the way. After our original wedding plan fell through due to Covid, they were incredibly flexible and patient with us as we reworked our entire plan. They put in such effort not only to understand and capture our love for each other, but to make us feel comfortable and seen on our special day. My partner and I are are so grateful to have found Sam. We worked with them both for our first elopement and our bigger wedding a year and a half later. We were initially put in touch with Sam for our consultation. Sam was attentive and flexible leaving a good feeling in our gut to move forward with them for our NYE wedding.

Upon signing our contract, Sam put us in touch with their associate Fennel. We took a couple meetings to walk them both through our plans for the day of our wedding and they provided thoughtful feedback that made our schedule even better. They both know their stuff and were intent on making our day run smoothly and were determined to get as much content shot as we could given our budget and time constraints.

When the day of arrived Fennel flew around barely noticeable. They have a remarkable skill of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and not feeling like a camera is in your face during our more intimate moments. They were able to provide quick on your feet decisions to make for the best shot and we were feeling confident we got what we wanted from the shoot by the end of the day.

Then the photos arrived. We're screaming. We're crying. We're throwing up. To say we are overjoyed is a massive understatement. These capture the day in such a vibrant, beautiful way we can almost hear them. Perfection. We thank Sam and Fennel from the bottom of our heart for immortalizing this day for us. We are overjoyed.

We could not have asked for more in a photographer. From the start, we had a specific vision for our wedding and wanted something very special and personal to us. As soon as we reached out, Sam took the time to speak with us, ask questions, and truly understand. They just GOT it and were as excited for our vision as we were. I immediately felt like we were in good hands. They were communicative and responsive through the whole process. Every time we spoke, it was like a weight was lifted from our shoulders.

As for the photography itself, there are no words. They captured us and our vision perfectly and (most importantly) we had so much fun in the time we spent together. They were so intuitive— every special moment, they were right there, ready to capture it. Talented, professional, reassuring, and willing to go above and beyond. If we could go back and do it over, we’d choose Sam every. single. time.

I can't adequately express in words how talented Sam is. They have an amazing eye for blending art and reality. My concern for wedding photography was that it would be cheesy and overdone. Sam does not know how to take a bad photo. Every single one of our wedding pictures capture life in motion and beauty. I cannot recommend Sam enough.

On my wedding day, Sam put me at ease with their kindness, thoughtfulness, humor, and as sort of a confidante. If you think about it, your wedding photographer follows the 2 of you closer than anyone else on your wedding day, and I came to really appreciate and even count on their presence as a place to center and share in excitement. The ease Sam gave me really shows in the photos!
Personally, I get extremely anxious in front of a camera. I'm notoriously difficult to capture—it's sort of a joke with my loved ones. The idea of being photographed *all day* for my wedding was therefore...a concept!

Sam is incredibly talented at capturing those tender, intimate moments shared by couples on what can sometimes be a high-energy, stressful day. After seeing their work of a wedding my sister officiated, I was blown away! Every genuine smile, spontaneous giggle, sweet kiss, tearjerking moment, and celebratory party vibe felt like it was captured by someone who understands the significance and the history of those wedding day memories. What can we say? Sam is AMAZING! They took unique and interesting photos for such a reasonable price, and added to the fun of our weekend. It felt like having an old friend directing our photoshoots!

We met Sam almost a year prior to our wedding to do engagement photos, which I didn't think I wanted but my wife talked me into. However, it's been so fun having those photos to look back on!

Then we met up with them for dinner and a drink to talk over the plan for the weekend. They scouted locations for us and kept in mind what we were saying we wanted. The family pics came out absolutely beautiful (despite a little hiccup with the location and timing), but the emphasis was on what we truly wanted: beautiful couples photos, candids of ourselves and our friends and family having fun, and snapshots of the most important memories of the day.

I would be shocked if they haven't raised their prices by now since their services were so awesome, but it's totally worth it!
