Our wedding's music was the best that anyone had ever experienced, and it is 1,000% due to the skill and professionalism of Onyx artists.
They were able to find us a band that could Hora, swing, and groove. As musicians ourselves, we have an extremely high standard. This band was literally people we would (and have since!!) HIRE ourselves. Nobody in their entire life had ever experienced a band this good at a wedding, and to this day I'm still so proud of it.

Most of all, and I say this to you, oh dear bride or groom who is likely up to your ears in stressful wedding details: Josh and Marie are CONSUMMATE professionals who were able to field my parents' confusion and change of requests all over the place. They helped us to scale the group, spoke with our wedding planner, and made the entire process seamless and beautiful. They knew the kind of speakers and equipment we needed, were prepared for our outdoor ceremony and then completely accommodated when it rained and the whole thing went inside. They were so patient and loving with us, and, again in the end provided the singular best wedding band that anyone had ever experienced, myself included.

I know, 1138 words in, I sound a little loopy. But that's honestly how enthusiastic I am, even 8 months out from our wedding. I did a ton of research, and I'm sure that you are doing the same. Stop it now and call Josh and Marie. You'll thank me. And I'll just never stop thanking them.

The Speakeasies were absolutely incredible for our wedding reception in Carmel-by-the Sea. They were incredibly talented, super versatile, and made our entire day so extra special. We would definitely recommend hiring this band for your special event.

Our experience with Onyx Artists and particularly Oh La La (who played at our wedding), was absolutely exceptional. There's only so much you can plan for a wedding and at a certain point you just have to trust that people will show up and do the job well and Onyx and Oh La La were such professionals from day one. What they needed for music and song choice and when they needed it were crystal clear, communications were flawless both with us and with our other vendors, we felt totally comfortable talking with Marie about any concerns we had and the music - man can these guys play! We gave them our song choices (we had 3-4 in the package we had purchased) then mentioned we'd be doing a horrah and that a recording would be totally fine, but they insisted they'd do it live, even though we'd used up our requests, and played the best horrah our guests had been a part of. More than a few of the covers we asked them to do as well weren't easy ones (This Must Be the Place - Talking Heads, "We like this jazz piano song but could it be just acoustic guitar, no vocals, kind of like..." - they nailed them. The best thing you can do when working with Onyx (and you should book Oh La La) is to give them what they need and then step back and let them work, they're so good at what they do, read the room so well, and are genuinely committed to making the event a success. We're so incredibly glad that we were able to work with them, and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Working with Oh La La was a pleasure every step of the way. The music was definitely a huge highlight of our wedding- we knew we wanted music that was danceable, fun, but not over the top loud or contemporary- Oh La La was exactly what we were looking for but couldn't articulate. The music and performance was unique and so special. Every song pulled everyone into the dance floor, and our song requests were better than we could have hoped for. Our families and friends continue to rave about Oh La La. We more than 100% reccomend Oh La La- we are so happy we found them!

From the initial emails figuring out what the best options were for us- to talking us through all of the questions we had along the way and always being so quick to respond to all of our emails/texts- I’d absolutely recommend ONYX Artists for any event you need a live band for.

We had them play for both a seated dinner portion and a dance set and they were both perfect. Classy and not too loud when we needed it mellow and so fun when everyone got on the dance floor. We got so many compliments and we’ve just been looking for any excuse to hire them again :)

We could not have been happier to have Oh La La as part of our wedding.
From the moment my husband and I contacted them, their responsiveness and willingness to learn (fulfilling my outlandish request to learn a classical version of Cardi Bs Bodak Yellow to walk down the aisle to- they did and it was AMAZING!- and keeping it a surprise from my fiance who was their sole point of contact till then), were unrivaled. They are truly talented group of musicians that you will not regret having as part of your day!!

Marie and Onyx went above and beyond to make our wedding vision come to life. My guests tell me they were a highlight. The only thing I would’ve done differently would be to have kept them singing for a lot longer ;) Easy to work with, great sound and style. Definitely recommend.

Marie and the Oh La La group were absolutely a pleasure to work with! We were in touch with Marie in particular for booking the band for our wedding and were impressed by the speed and professionalism of her replies.

Not to mention, the music played by the band is divine?! For the special requests the band was flexible and we enjoyed some of our favorite songs. What I loved was the band's flexibility - they can play some classics, bossa nova, french songs, and even some Buble.

My husband and I were looking to have a band that can play classy tunes and create a lovely atmosphere. They did just that! Can I also say Marie is such a charming and wonderful person. If we ever need to hire a band for an event we will absolutely choose Oh La La!!

We hired Oh La La through Onyx artists, and they were simply amazing. If you're listened to any of the videos, then I don't need to tell you what a wonderful voice Marie has. She and her bandmates were beyond talented and she made planning a pleasure (no small feat since we were doing so from abroad) Oh La La kept us and our guests dancing all night and their performance made our wedding that much better. What other band do you know that would break into "Everybody Walk The Dinosaur" when a guest gets on the dance floor in a dinosaur outfit?
