We worked with the Cool Rulers for our wedding at the Box House Hotel in Brooklyn in 2025. They did an exceptional job, we could not have been happier. The dance floor popped off all night, they also did a great job with the ceremony (solo guitarist) and cocktail hour (jazz quartet). Communication was prompt and professional at all times. Highly recommend!!!

They made our wedding what it was and it was the best decision we made. Charles was so easy to work with and the entire band was so kind and sooooo talented.
We ask them to learn a few songs including, ‘music for a sushi restaurant’ by Harry styles and they killed it. They played gimme gimme by ABBA as our closing song and the dance floor shook. Every time I hear those songs, I think of our wedding night and how magical it was it. They we one of the key reasons why it was the best night of our lives.
Years later, we still have guests tell us that our band was the best they ever experienced at any wedding. I would have another wedding if I could just to book them again. If you are on the fence, take this review and just hire them for your event!

Cannot recommend this band enough. They were not only extremely talented and every single person at our wedding dancing but the level of service was incredible. They were a huge component to the success of my wedding. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

These guys are an 11/10! With a 9+ hour setlist to choose from, this band had everyone dancing, singing, and smiling from our 3 year old guests to our 90 year olds. Even the guests who didn’t want to dance would get up every time the band started a set just to stand by the side of the dance floor and cheer like groupies. Everything was smooth, professional, and fun from the day of booking almost a year before the wedding. The band exudes joy, and it is absolutely contagious. I was a picky bride — I grew up playing music and my brother is a professional musician. I wanted motown music, and I didn’t want to hear overplayed wedding music. This band’s talent and skill exceeded even my wildest dreams. I put all my trust in this band, and it was the number 1 best decision I made for my wedding . I will be forever grateful.

The Cool Rulers were spectacular for our wedding reception. Extremely talented and professional musicians with great range and song selections. They were able to learn a couple songs we requested and really brought the energy! 10/10 would highly recommend for any event!

The Cool Rulers were amazing! So easy to work with, great vibes and brought incredible energy for our wedding. They have a perfect mix of modern classics and older hits with an unmatched sound. Guaranteed to get your friends - and (grand)parents - dancing from the first note to the last song. We only wish the night had gone on forever! We were pretty hands off and encouraged them to do their thing as we loved their style and song list but I'm sure they would be able to accommodate if you have more specific requests. We had tons of people post (and during) our wedding asking about them and a number of people referred to them as the best wedding band they'd seen. Would highly recommend! The only caveat would be if you really want exclusively modern music/top 40 and/or don't love Motown, they might not be the band for you.
