Whatever your needs may be for your event, Mitch Marcus Music can provide the perfect band.

Mitch Marcus Music is equally adept at playing Top 40, rock n roll, R n B Soul, straight ahead jazz, classical, classic rock, motown, country, standards, disco, jam-band, funk, Klezmer, Italian, you name it!

We generally go out as a 7 piece, which includes 2 up front vocalists (male/female), keyboards (also vocals and saxophone), guitar (also vocals), Saxophone (also vocals), Drums, and Bass.

Band packages start as low as $5000. Please reach out for more information.

If the 7 piece is not what you're looking for, we are highly adaptable and versatile, we can arrange from solo piano, string quartet, to 10 piece rock band, even an 18 piece big band, and everything in between, we will make sure your event sparkles. All the musicians Mitch works with are top notch and therefore in high demand in the NYC area and beyond so booking Mitch Marcus Music in advance is highly recommended.

All the groups come standard with a sound engineer to customize the groups’ sound to each event’s needs.

Couldn’t have asked for more!

We were looking for a 7 piece band with horns (trumpet / sax) who could play a wide variety of genres, as we typically don’t listen to Top 40 music. Our wedding was disco-themed, and we also had a ton of ideas for groove/soul/funk/RnB songs to play.

We found Mitch through a Reddit post where others recommended his band for being able to cover any song. He had a lightning quick response time, was always friendly and professional, and checked in with us regularly leading up to the wedding. Plus, the quote we received from him was very reasonable compared to many other bands we were interested in.

Their musicianship was top notch. They based their track list off of our many requested songs, and were even flexible to rotate band members during their meal break so we didn’t have to put on a playlist. And when we unexpectedly had to shift the order of events at dinner, they were able to switch gears quickly.

Everyone had so much fun singing and dancing along. We only wish we had the venue for a few more hours to extend the music longer! We’d definitely recommend the Mitch Marcus band to anyone looking to elevate their wedding celebration.

50th B-day Bash

At the end of the evening....guests screaming "BEST BAND EVER"!!! Took us straight back to the 80's. Mitch knows SOOOO many songs...and all were done to perfection. Had the crowd rocking all night. Truly incredible, masterful arrangement to pump up the group, played special songs we requested, the vocalist - she was off the chart!!! Multiple professional musicians in the party...all thoroughly impressed at how tight Mitch's' band is and how good they sounded. A must, we'd have them again tonight, and then again...

Great band for our wedding!

We decided early that we wanted live music at our wedding, and thankfully we found Mitch and it was smooth sailing from there! Throughout the year of planning he was available every time we reached out with questions and he was always super helpful and laid back and professional. We didn’t worry once! Our guests raved about how great the band sounded and there was never an empty dance floor throughout the night! They also perfectly engineered the sound so that they were loud enough to fill the room and make it a party, but not so loud that everyone was screaming or going to break an eardrum the whole night. Overall, A+++ for talent, service, and professionalism!! Mitch and his band will not disappoint!!

Congrats! You've found Mitch

Our wedding had a music festival theme and so nailing the headlining act for the big day was paramount. Looked at dozens of other potential, more traditional or bigger brand wedding bands as well as a couple national touring acts before finding Mitch Marcus' name through online word of mouth, and so grateful that we did. We were interested in something less traditional, eclectic, and when he sent us a massive word document of music they could play I knew we found the guy. He will assemble a group of his professional musician friends to match the vibe you are going for as well as your budget. For us this was a 9 piece band with full horns and while this was a premium experience I doubt the value can be topped. We heard everything from Sharon Jones to Jamiroquai to Phish and of course many of the standards to keep any crowd engaged. Guests and vendors alike were blown away. They can accommodate requests for special moments (ceremony, first dance) and I believe others have sat in with the band as well. Communication was top notch from day one to ensure the execution was just right. I could go on about the professionalism, musicianship and overall good times provided by Mitch Marcus and his band but you get the idea - Thanks Mitch!

You need to book Mitch

I cannot possibly recommend Mitch any more! Mitch and his band were all absolute top notch musicians and performers. Mitch communicated constantly leading up to the wedding to make sure that the setlist would fit the vibe we were looking for, which was very appreciated. We had some requests off the beaten path which they were more than happy to oblige, and still were able to deliver the hits that kept the people happy and dancing. We had countless people tell us it was the best music they’ve ever heard at a wedding and that it was a full on concert experience. Don’t look elsewhere, this is the band you want for your wedding.

A Hidden and Under the Radar Gem

Searching for the perfect wedding band and don’t want to deal with the big brand labels? Mitch Marcus is for you. We found Mitch through a family member’s recommendation and from our initial interactions through wedding day it was a completely enjoyable and professional experience. Mitch was able to get a variety of instrumentalists last minute when we decided to change our key songs list, the flexibility he provided was clutch! The band was able to really feel the vibe of the crowd the whole wedding. We were most impressed with the singers in the band who were not only talented, but brought a ton of energy. Would chose Mitch again 10/10.

Great band!

At the time we were planning our wedding, there were no showcases due to COVID. We found Mitch Marcus Music online and chose them based on YouTube videos, promotional videos, and a plethora of positive online reviews. Despite all the favorable reviews, I was a little nervous about how they would sound live. Turns out, the amazing reviews were accurate. Mitch and his band (we had six musicians and one sound engineer) were awesome. They even learned to play my favorite song, Motownphilly. The band was energetic, the music was on point, and the vocalists were phenomenal. They also had the sound of a much larger band, as many of the musicians sing as well. Everyone danced and had fun. Hire these guys. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome Experience

Working with Mitch’s band was one of the easiest parts of planning our over-the-top engagement party! He was super flexible and did everything he could do to accommodate our budget and time. I would highly recommend just solely based on the planning experience!

All of our guests loved the music and had a great time dancing the afternoon away. Thank you for being a part of our celebrations!!

Absolutely first rate professional musicians!

Mitch and his band were amazing. We were told these are among the best musicians in the New York City area and our expectations were exceeded. They played every great Jazz classic we could think of and some terrific get up and dance songs too. These are talented and gifted pros.
