Impeccable and Brilliant Service
There's so much that can be said of Luana Events and the brilliant services we received from Justine. My spouse and I originally planned on holding our wedding ceremony in O'ahu on May 31, 2020. We are from California so we knew that we would need an experienced wedding planner to help us from the outset. That's where Justine came in. Starting with our initial meeting, through each of the planning steps, Justine was incredibly patient with us as we meandered through various choices, changed our minds, then changed it again, asked for advice, and then changed it yet once again. To highlight some of the wonderful experiences we have with Justine, we struggled with finding the right venue - that is, we knew that we wanted to hold our wedding at Kualoa Ranch, but we could not determine which garden to choose. Since neither of us had been to Kualoa Ranch, we spent an exorbitant amount of time pouring over pictures and videos, but it was not until we "sat" down with Justine over Skype and walked through the pictures that we were able to have a comfort with our choice that we wouldn't have had otherwise. Justine explained to us the layout of the venue, how the ceremony would proceed based on our desired spot for the wedding arch, and what we could expect even regarding the grounds vis-a-vis high heels (pebbles, porous grounds, etc.). Justine was equally patient with us as we remained undecided as to the type of fares we wanted to have and kindly guided us as to what would work best for our projected guestlist. To clarify, my spouse and I are both Korean Americans, and we knew half our guests would be coming from Korea. As such, we knew many of our guests would like Korean fare. However, we also wanted more authentic Hawaiian food. Justine helped us navigate through those choices, and other difficult choices so that we could accommodate our dreams. Through this process we learned just how much we didn't know and how necessary it is to have a professional's guiding hand. This never became more apparent than recently as we had to unwind our wedding plans due to COVID-19. While it's probably fair to say that planning a wedding is probably more time consuming and stressful, unwinding a wedding is also stressful. Yet, despite the personal toll that Luana Events must have been also enduring during this pandemic, Justine never once waivered in her dedication to us, reaching out to us to share the news, to share next steps, and conferring with us in all matters. She was there every step of the way with us in helping us through the process of cancelling our wedding - that is, reaching out to all of the vendors - even though it must have been very difficult for her both as a professional and a caring, thoughtful individual. Yet, nonetheless, her consummate professionalism shined through every unnerving news. Without a doubt, Justine and Luana Events have helped us immeasurably. Hopefully no one (else) will have to ever experience unwinding their wedding plans, but we can say this with absolute certainty: we love Luana Events and Justine, and have absolute trust in their planning services, weddings and otherwise.Sent on 04/27/2020

Hire Justine - you will not regret it.
Hire Justine, you simply won't regret it. I can remember reading these reviews when starting out on the planing process...
My husband and I opted for Justine's mid-level package. I didn't want a "day of" coordinator who wasn't involved in the planning. Also, my experience thus far was that dealing with vendors in Hawaii is sometimes frustrating, and I needed help. I was also fine to do a good amount of research and heavy lifting. All-in-all, this package worked well for us.
We're Canadian and so cost was definitely something we were mindful of given unfavourable exchange rates. However, we also had about 60 guests and wanted to show our guests a great time and something special for coming so far. We chose Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch as our venue (before hiring Justine). Justine was well familiar with the venue and how the set-up would be optimal. During the planning process, Justine was thoughtful, organized, responsive throughout, kept me on track. Her positivity was also something I appreciated as the stress of wedding planning can be overwhelming at times. She was knowledgeable of vendors and how they worked, and some of the finer details between them. I would often ask for her opinion and she provide valuable input to help me execute a vision, all while helping me spend wisely and not unnecessarily. Most importantly, the day of, she completely took control of the event, the pacing, etc. My husband and I truly were able to enjoy the event. Many of my guests complemented us on how professional, and well executed the day and her team was.

Highly Recommend Justine and Luana Events!
Justine and Luana Events helped us out on such short notice with a mini wedding at Kualoa Ranch. We decided last-minute to have a micro-ceremony with only our parents present. Even with a small, intimate ceremony, there are still quite a bit of moving parts and it was extremely helpful to have Luana Events help us see everything through. Justine Miller of Luana Events is a fantastic event planner and a wonderful, down-to-earth human being. Our band was recently hired to perform for the ceremony, reception and dance party portions of a wedding at Ke Iki Bungalows on the North Shore, and Luana Events was hired as the wedding planner and day-of event coordinator. We have had problems in the past with wedding planners being unresponsive or downright flaky prior to the event. Justine was completely professional and absolutely on the ball. She is very detail oriented, responsive, and, the best of all, you can tell she really cares that her client has the best wedding experience possible as evidenced in her care and attention to detail with all the vendors to make sure every moment happens exactly as planned. Some wedding planners treat their vendors poorly but Justine is caring, helpful, willing to go the extra mile if you need anything, will answer questions promptly, and is cool as a cucumber under pressure. She not only treated our relationship as if we were collaborators (versus "hired help") but I witnessed her great treatment of the other vendors as well, even when there were little hiccups throughout the day. There were several moving parts for Justine to manage on the day of the wedding and she handled each one with joy and professionalism. The day ran seamlessly, we always knew where and when we needed to be in place to perform, and the guests, and the bride and groom, had a fantastic day! Even though she had been on her feet for over 12 hours rushing around making sure every detail was covered Justine was there at the very end personally thanking guests for coming and cleaning up to make sure the bride and groom could go enjoy their bonfire on the beach with their friends and family.
