About

Welcome to the Kyle House! We are a unique wedding venue in the historic town of Fincastle, Virginia. We offer an amazing barn wedding chapel with exquisite drapery and vintage chandeliers. After the ceremony, your guests will enter the Kyle House and it's gardens to celebrate with you and enjoy a fabulous wedding reception.

Why the Kyle House? If you are looking for a cookie-cutter venue with four walls and the same format that people have been doing for years, we are not your venue.!! When people come to the Kyle House, they say how awesome the venue is and how amazing the food is. We ofer multiple spaces for your guests to enjoy and they love it! From the downstairs brick room and beautiful upstairs ballroom to the outside deck and beautiful gardens, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

We are all-inclusive! What does that mean? It means a stress-free wedding for you! Everything is included at the Kyle House so you don't have the expense of renting things. We include all the tables, chairs, china, flatware, glassware, linens, centerpieces, cakestands, pa systems and much more. We also take care of all of the food and beverages so you don't need to worry about hiring a caterer or getting an ABC license. On the day of your wedding, everything will be set-up so that you can come in, put out your personal decorations and then enjoy getting ready with your bridal party in the bridal suite. Also, most venues only give the guys a closet to get ready in! We offer a beautiful parlour room just for them!

We believe in helping you find quality vendors that will do a fantastic job for your wedding! Many local vendors (photographers, cake bakers, DJs etc.) will give you discounts at the Kyle House.

Where will your guests stay? We have that covered too with awesome accommodation offerings right in Fincastle and hotels close by.

A Magical Place

Everything about Kyle House was perfect for our daughter's wedding. The space, the vintage vibe, the food, the bar, planning, location, and price were better than we could have ever hoped for. Guests are still complementing the food and the overall ambiance of the location. Everyone says the same thing..."Simply Magical."

Amazing place with it's own beauty

Amanda was great to work with, very responsive and helpful through the whole process. The venue is simple but elegant and beautiful. We didn't need to add much, if anything, of our own accents to make the place special.

Wonderful, and unique wedding venue

The Kyle House was one of, if not, my first choice for a wedding venue! Not only is it full of history, and perfectly mirrors the old Victorian architecture of mid to late 19th century, the house has already been thoughtfully decorated to illuminate the beauty of its interior. With decorating, and catering included in Amanda’s services, she was also able to recommend a florist, bakery, and transportation for our event. We ended up going with all of Amanda’s suggestions, and felt very confident about how our venue would be organized on our big day! Also the catering for our event was sublime. Thanks again! I can not recommend the Kyle House more for your event venue needs :)

Jim and Amanda were great throughout the entire planning process! Amanda was always quick to respond to my many questions and made both the planning and day-of events stress-free. My bridesmaids told me repeatedly that this was the calmest wedding day they have been part of. Also, if you choose The Kyle House as your venue, it is worth every penny to hire Michelle Day as your planner. She works at this venue frequently and is SO helpful. My mother and I were so grateful for both Michelle and Amanda. When we arrived at the venue the day of the wedding at 11:00 AM (wedding was at 6 PM), Michelle had already picked up the cupcakes and had the entire venue decorated! At the end of the wedding, Michelle had all of our decorations (you do not need to buy much since the Schaals have almost everything you need) packed up and delivered to the house next door where my parents stayed (an additional perk that you can rent the house next door!!) in less than 30 minutes. Cannot recommend this awesome venue enough!

It is every girl’s dream to have the perfect wedding with no surprises or accidents. The Kyle House made this happen for me! The Kyle House was absolutely Ah-Mazing!!!!! There is nothing for me to complain about. Everything was Perfect! My guest absolutely fell in Love with that place and I’m still hearing about how delicious the food was! Thank you Jim and Amanda for your perfection, great communication and kindness! I’ll never forget this place! It is where my dream came true!

This was the best decision for our wedding day! The team assembled at the Kyle House is top notch and they make everything so easy. I would also SERIOUSLY recommend hiring Michelle Day as wedding coordinator since her rates are so reasonable and she made the day work. I received so many compliments on the venue and the food, many people said it was the most beautiful wedding that they've been to!

Kyle house did such a great job! The food was great, the venue was absolutely charming, and the staff was super attentive and helpful. The locale needed hardly an decorations, because it was so gorgeous.

We could not have picked a better venue for our big day. Almost everything we needed was included, which took so much stress off us. Jim and Amanda were amazing tonwork with and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. I would never go anywhere else if we could do it again.

The Kyle House is simply stunning and has a vintage, romantic feel to it. It's easy to communicate and plan a wedding from another State with the owners, and they are very friendly and prompt to respond and flexible to work with. This venue is also amazing because it is everything you need in one spot! You have a separate "get ready" room for the bride and groom and wedding party. The chapel- barn and the reception are a quick walk across the hall and there's even a cute cabin included for your "honeymoon" after wedding night, right across the street! All linens, centerpieces, etc are included. The venue is already set up with a sound system inside the reception area and into the chapel-barn, if you didn't want to hire a DJ, you could literally plug your phone up with a playlist and have everything you need. Oh, and goodness, the food IS AMAZING. Your guests will rave about the food long after your ceremony is over, the owners of the venue also own a catering company, so pick this venue and you don't have to worry about booking that separate either! You can't go wrong with this place, it's just perfect.
