In addition to her status as an ordained minister, Kim Kirkley has been a successful actor, life coach and former LGBT civil rights attorney. She was a past president of her Toastmasters club, making Kim a practiced public speaker. She has also written six books, making her a leading authority on ritual, meaning, and personal success. Kim was an instructor with the Celebrant Foundation and Institute, which helped her to improve and gain deeper understanding of wedding ritual and ceremony.

After our first meeting, we quickly realized that Kim was the perfect officiant for us. She demonstrated an uncanny ability to discern so much about our vision for our wedding and also about who we are as a couple. That meant a great deal to us in the midst of planning for the big day within a short timeline. Kim was able to follow through with a ceremony program that more than delivered on our vision, from capturing our story, to conveying our theme of family.
There’s no other way to explain the service Kim provided besides spot on. She was just a wonderful person to work with, making us feel seen, heard, and comfortable with the process throughout. Her follow through on the administrative side was timely and consistent, and she was also able to navigate the emergence of some unforeseen matters, including us being under the weather the week before our special day. Overall, Kim was amazing and it’s hard to think of what our wedding ceremony would have been like without her.
