We used Kate Phillips Events for our wedding in Goochland, VA on our family farm. Kate did a really incredible job. Seriously took my vision and brought it to life so perfectly. After months of planning it all came together so seamlessly. I would say I am also a typically busy person AND live outside of Viriginia, so I was planning from afar. Kate worked with my schedule for any planning meetings and made me feel confident that everything was coming along even without me physically there. Kate is the ABSOLUTE BEST. She and her team put together the most beautiful, memorable, wedding weekend of all time with over 300 guests and several different events Thursday - Sunday. Kate has both sides of the brain - she is solution oriented and practical, while creative and artistic. She is the most talented wedding planner I have ever seen. Throughout the whole process, she made me feel like I was the only wedding she had on her plate (when that was certainly not the case). I don't know how she juggles it all! She has an eye for aesthetics and design, worked closely with my daughter to create her wedding vision and demonstrated meticulous attention to detail. Kate was AMAZING to work with. We hired her for the month of at Upper Shirley. She gave me planning tools early on to use when I was planning early on myself and was receptive to making all of my plans work during the month of the wedding. She is beyond organized and has great relationships with tons of local vendors. The weekend went off seamlessly and literally everyone commented on how perfect the wedding went. She has a calm but fun demeanor and never once made me stressed. I am SO thankful I used Kate!

We hired Kate Phillips Events to do "month of" planning as well as helping us with the design aesthetic of the wedding. I hadn't intended to get a wedding planner (I naively had no concept of just how much planning a wedding actually takes) but our venue required one. And honestly, I am SO glad they did because Kate was so wonderful and added so much to our wedding.

When it came to her design plan, she listened to what I was interested in and ran with it to create a detailed and comprehensive design proposal. She was very flexible after I gave feedback regarding budget and preferences and always had great alternative suggestions if something wouldn't work for whatever reason. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and there were certain elements that I never would have thought to incorporate on my own.

As for the month of the wedding and the wedding day - she took over coordinating with vendors and going through contracts and ensuring everything was getting delivered and set up properly at the venue. I honestly don't even know half of the stuff she did because she just did it on her own without me having to worry about it. She has so much experience with the planning and is so detail-oriented, that I was completely confident in whatever direction she went. On the day of the wedding, we had some surprise freezing weather and other last minute decisions that needed to be made, and at that point I just wanted to relax. I was so thankful to have her there and have 1000 percent trust in her judgment so I could just sit back with my friends and family and not stress. And it all worked out, and was so smooth, and truly the best days of our lives! Thanks Kate!

We really can't say enough about Kate! She is incredibly good at her job and made the final month before our wedding a total breeze. She thought of details that hadn't even crossed our minds and was always a step ahead. In addition to being very organized, responsive and detail-oriented, she also has a great eye for design. We were so pleased with how beautiful our ceremony and reception space were and how smoothly the entire day went. Kate put us at ease, which allowed us to really enjoy our big day.
