Hi! My name is Amy, but I also answer to Ames, Mommy, and Babe. I am fortunate to design and plan personalized events for a living. My favorite clients are busy professionals with exciting social lives who need help executing a beautiful, stylish, carefully planned gathering.
At some point in our process together, you will hear me gush about how much I love Italy; the country, the people, the architecture, and tiramisu. They have collectively taken up a one-bedroom residence in my heart. The rest of my heart's home belongs to my husband, our fearless two-year-old daughter, two Labrador brothers named Little Bear and Shadow Cat, and soul music.
The name for Hawthorne & Poppy Events was taken from the flowers of my parents' home states, Missouri and California. I desire my brand to represent what I love most about special occasions: honoring friends and family and celebrating with both traditional and modern elements.
I chose this profession because I care deeply about serving others. I value the process of being authentic and real with my clients to help them achieve their ideal vision as we create an unforgettable event together.
We are all unique with distinctive qualities, and I strive for every one of my designs to reflect each client's individuality.
