Where to begin with how happy we are we selected Forgotten Barrel Winery for our wedding ceremony and reception! The service was unmatched with this venue. Alyssa was incredible from start to finish- her communication, professionalism, organization, kindness, and flexibility was SO appreciated. She worked tirelessly to ensure all of our needs and requests were met. The venue is incredible- the getting ready rooms, the natural beauty for photos, and all the staff are spectacular! All of their preferred vendors are incredible and I love how they all work together as a team to ensure the vision of the couple is achieved. HIGHLY recommend thisi venue for a wedding celebration. It’s been about a month since our daughter’s wedding, and the family is still talking about it! This venue we knew was going to be perfect, but it really was beyond perfect! All the vendors were wonderful! Friendly and professional! Being the MOB, I got to enjoy the entire day and didn’t worry or wonder about a thing! This venue is quaint and classy. PERFECT set up for the ceremony, the cocktail hour, dinner inside a room that feels like a castle, the food set up, the area to chat and hang out… and…..big and clean bathrooms!!!! Then there’s the dessert! Freshly made donuts or churros right in front of you! If you are planning a wedding for 100 people or under… this is it!! Amazing job Forgotten Barrel!! Thank you for all your efforts to make sure our day was amazing!

My now husband and I had our wedding at the Forgotten Barrel and man do I wish I could do it all again!! From the very beginning we knew we wanted a microwedding (less than 50 guests). We found Forgotten Barrel and inquired if they offered plans for smaller weddings and they sure did! The space was a great size so our small wedding (34 ppl total) didn’t feel or look awkwardly out of place! Alyssa was amazing to work with and answered all questions promptly. Chef Joan (caterer linked to Forgotten Barrel) was also great and took spectacular care of us! My ONLY regret is micro weddings have a 4 hour time frame. I wish I would have inquired about adding an additional hour as 4 felt so fast and I wish I had more time to enjoy our beautiful day. Overall, if you are looking for an all inclusive beautiful venue THIS IS IT.

Mikayla and I can not recommend Forgotten Barrel Winery enough for a wedding venue. The process leading up to our wedding was stress free due to the professionalism and diligence of Alyssa who is the venue manager. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner, and the communication between vendors was very reassuring. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch! The entire venue from the getting ready area for both the bride and groom to the reception area and everywhere else in between was beautiful which made for stunning photos all throughout the day. Our guests loved everything about the venue and gave us nothing but positive feed back. My wife and I decided to have an all vegan menu for our wedding and Chef Joann knocked the food out of the ball park! Most of guests weren't vegan but they all raved about the food. Forgotten Barrel is truly THE hidden gem in San Diego for a wedding venue. If you are looking to have an unforgettable wedding; you absolutely MUST check out Forgotten Barrel!!

Forgotten Barrel is not only a magical, charming and beautiful rustic elegance they are friendly, efficient and very helpful. Both the ceremony lawn and reception barn are just stunning. Our wedding went flawlessly, the caterer that works with them provided stellar service and fantastic food. All our guests raved about the venue and the food. Some said it was the best wedding they had ever been too. It was a magical day!

We had an amazing experience working with Forgotten Barrel! They were super helpful & communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process. We were planning from afar, so it was super great to already have the DJ, caterer, drinks, and dessert already booked through the venue. Alyssa was great to work with to answer questions and to be a resource to find other vendors in the area.
I used their "recommended vendors" list to book our photographer which was also amazing!
The food caterer that they use was soooo good, all of our guests raved about the food!

I had my wedding at Forgotten Barrel Winery on February 24th and it was such a great experience. They were very responsive and helpful. My original wedding venue was shut down and I found Forgotten Barrel, they luckily had my date available. I can’t wait to go back for wine tasting.

We absolutely loved our event. The staff was very attentive and communicative both before and during the event. The grounds are beautiful and the wine is great. We also appreciated the freedom to choose our favorite vendors and not just a set list of choices.

From the day we came to tour, Kris and Alyssa were extremely helpful, kind, and responsive. They took the time to answer our many questions and worked with us to make our wedding what we wanted. Their comprehensive package was a great option that made the wedding planning process seamless.

The grounds are beautiful, well kept, and our guests wouldn’t stop complimenting other venue. There are so many amazing photo spots, our photographer also loved it. It truly is one a kind. I’ve worked at Forgotten Barrel many times and I always enjoy my time there DJing for my couples and working with the staff who are led by Alyssa and Chris. Not only have I always enjoyed my experience there but my couples always enjoy their time there and they fall in love with the venue. As one of the most unique venues I’ve ever been to they provide an amazing and rustic setting for ceremonies and for receptions, giving an escape for wedding guests looking to have a memorable time. Always on point with their service, I honestly can’t wait until the next wedding that I will be working at Forgotten Barrel Winery.
