My now husband and I had our wedding at the Forgotten Barrel and man do I wish I could do it all again!! From the very beginning we knew we wanted a microwedding (less than 50 guests). We found Forgotten Barrel and inquired if they offered plans for smaller weddings and they sure did! The space was a great size so our small wedding (34 ppl total) didn’t feel or look awkwardly out of place! Alyssa was amazing to work with and answered all questions promptly. Chef Joan (caterer linked to Forgotten Barrel) was also great and took spectacular care of us! My ONLY regret is micro weddings have a 4 hour time frame. I wish I would have inquired about adding an additional hour as 4 felt so fast and I wish I had more time to enjoy our beautiful day. Overall, if you are looking for an all inclusive beautiful venue THIS IS IT. -

Mikayla and I can not recommend Forgotten Barrel Winery enough for a wedding venue. The process leading up to our wedding was stress free due to the professionalism and diligence of Alyssa who is the venue manager. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner, and the communication between vendors was very reassuring. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch! The entire venue from the getting ready area for both the bride and groom to the reception area and everywhere else in between was beautiful which made for stunning photos all throughout the day. Our guests loved everything about the venue and gave us nothing but positive feed back. My wife and I decided to have an all vegan menu for our wedding and Chef Joann knocked the food out of the ball park! Most of guests weren't vegan but they all raved about the food. Forgotten Barrel is truly THE hidden gem in San Diego for a wedding venue. If you are looking to have an unforgettable wedding; you absolutely MUST check out Forgotten Barrel!! -

We had an amazing experience working with Forgotten Barrel! They were super helpful & communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process. We were planning from afar, so it was super great to already have the DJ, caterer, drinks, and dessert already booked through the venue. Alyssa was great to work with to answer questions and to be a resource to find other vendors in the area.
I used their "recommended vendors" list to book our photographer which was also amazing!
The food caterer that they use was soooo good, all of our guests raved about the food! -

I had my wedding at Forgotten Barrel Winery on February 24th and it was such a great experience. They were very responsive and helpful. My original wedding venue was shut down and I found Forgotten Barrel, they luckily had my date available. I can’t wait to go back for wine tasting. -

We absolutely loved our event. The staff was very attentive and communicative both before and during the event. The grounds are beautiful and the wine is great. We also appreciated the freedom to choose our favorite vendors and not just a set list of choices. -

I’ve worked at Forgotten Barrel many times and I always enjoy my time there DJing for my couples and working with the staff who are led by Alyssa and Chris. Not only have I always enjoyed my experience there but my couples always enjoy their time there and they fall in love with the venue. As one of the most unique venues I’ve ever been to they provide an amazing and rustic setting for ceremonies and for receptions, giving an escape for wedding guests looking to have a memorable time. Always on point with their service, I honestly can’t wait until the next wedding that I will be working at Forgotten Barrel Winery.

We absolutely LOVED our wedding day and huge part of that was because we chose to have it at Forgotten Barrel Winery. It is the perfect location for a quaint and intimate wedding ceremony and reception. The perk of having it on a Thursday allowed for us to have the whole property to ourselves which was amazing. So many of my family and friends kept asking how I found this hidden gem. Alyssa Donyes and the entire venue staff were extremely friendly, warm and helpful throughout our planning process, including the wine tasting and walk through prior to the wedding day. Alyssa was also super accommodating and helpful on the day of the wedding as well. We can’t thank them enough for being such a huge part of what made our day so magical! -

We Loved our wedding at forgotten barrel! The greenery, the staff, the ease of booking a wedding package (price included a bunch of services- food , service, dj, bar) for a good price. Our guests loved having the whole place to ourselves at night so they could talk outside, dance inside or gather in the courtyard. Also, the coordinator managed the vendors for food (inferno pizza) , DJ (mauro) And desserts. the ceremony was beautiful – even in July heat! The grounds were kept cool and pretty shaded. Highly recommend . -

A beautiful day!
We feel so lucky to have come across this venue online when we were on the search.
From the day we came to tour, Kris and Alyssa were extremely helpful, kind, and responsive. They took the time to answer our many questions and worked with us to make our wedding what we wanted. Their comprehensive package was a great option that made the wedding planning process seamless.
The grounds are beautiful, well kept, and our guests wouldn’t stop complimenting other venue. There are so many amazing photo spots, our photographer also loved it. It truly is one a kind. We are so happy with our selection and would not hesitate to recommend this venue to our friends & family, thank you Alyssa & Kris! -

Best Wedding Venue
We absolutely loved Forgotten Barrel! Our guests raved about the vendors- amazing food, options for fresh made donuts, excellent DJ, great bar service and not to mention their wine is so good! Alyssa was also so great and easy to work with! The staff truly cares about making your wedding day one that you and your guests will never forget! The venue is beautiful and made for some amazing photos.
We cannot give enough positive praise to Forgotten Barrel! Would highly recommend this venue! -

The most beautiful venue
We came across Forgotten Barrel on the wedding wire and what a hidden gem this place is! It’s in a slightly odd location, nestled in a neighborhood, but when you step onto the property it is just stunning. It was absolutely everything we wanted from a wedding venue. Everyone that works there is so wonderful and accommodating. Amy, the even coordinator, is just the best. She would always respond to any questions or concerns quickly. She also gave us a list of vendors that have worked there for other events and every single person we hired from that list was top notch! She made planning our perfect day so easy.
We highly recommend having your special day at Forgotten Barrel. The wine is amazing! The people are amazing! The venue is amazing! -

Beautiful venue my family was so amazed by it very professional as well highly recommend I got married on Monday because It fit my budget but I would do it again. The only thing was the times wish we had more time. I felt everything was fast n rushed -

Best wedding ever
Forgotten Barrel was a dream come true. They made the whole day just so unbelievably perfect with the amazing scenery and gorgeous vineyards. The staff was so helpful too. Being a naturally high strung person, Amy and the rest of the Forgotten Barrel crew made me and my husband feel so at ease, going above and beyond to make sure the day was just like we always imagined. I worked at a wedding company for years, and I’ve seen people spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on weddings. Not only were my husband and I able to do our whole wedding under budget, but forgotten barrel made it feel worth more than all those crazy expensive weddings for less than what we were expecting. Plus, they have the best dang sangria I’ve ever had! -

The Forgotten Barrel Winery is a hidden gem in Escondido, CA. We visited a ton of wedding venues in the San Diego Area and we didn’t find anything that was as beautiful, intimate, and budget-friendly as this venue. The outside ceremony area is amazing along with the cool barrel room for the reception after. The ambiance at night makes the venue even prettier. All of our guests told us how much they loved it. We highly recommend the Forgotten Barrel Winery for any couple that’s looking for an intimate wedding venue and a fun experience! -

We had an amazing time!
We absolutely loved hosting our wedding at Forgotten Barrel. The venue was perfect for our group size (88). The space was just right for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dancing, games, photo booth and a warm & cozy atmosphere. We chose Forgotten Barrel because we wanted to have very specific food. Most venues have preferred vendor lists and are very rigid. We were able to hire the caterers we wanted to meet our cultural needs. Forgotten Barrel even introduced us to one of the vendors we used.
We also enjoyed the winery's package that included dessert, DJ, and the bar. Having that already lined up, helped us. All the vendors that came through the venue were absolutely amazing!
Alyssa, Venue Coordinator, helped us in every step of the way. We had a lot of questions and she patiently helped us with everything she could. We had a challenging theme, sustainability, but Forgotten Barrel did everything to help us reduce waste.
At first we were uncertain if the winery was going to photograph well, but our pictures were absolutely fantastic. All the different locations available at the winery made for fabulous photos.
We were so happy with how everything turned out. Alyssa, the Forgotten Barrel team, and all their vendors made the day extra special for us. We were very glad to have them by our side. -
