The Island Hotel at Newport Beach is a ballroom wedding venue in the Orange County, California area. This venue is the perfect combination of chic city and breezy coastal vibes for a couple’s big day. It is located 13 minutes from the John Wayne Airport.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can invite up to 600 guests to witness their wedding at the Island Hotel at Newport Beach. This hotel has three event spaces for couples to choose from. The Ballroom is the largest space. It features dazzling chandeliers of many crystals, a brown and gold color palette and the option to surround the walls with flowing drapery. The Ballroom’s pre-function space is the perfect cocktail reception location, with fine art and a built-in bar. The Yorba Room is a large atrium space with high coffered ceilings and skylights overhead. For additional natural light, floor-to-ceiling windows line one wall looking out onto the private terrace. The terrace is surrounded by lush greenery to give couples a secluded and tropical space for their cocktail reception or as an additional space for their event. The Cabana Room & Terrace is an oasis-like space for a couple’s ceremony or reception. Folding glass doors lead to a ground level terrace surrounded by leafy plants and tree trunks. The Cabana Room itself features glass chandeliers, decorative art panels and tall windows.

The best wedding decision we made.
Through the 10 months of planning, Claire was a critical partner. She answered every question with a sense of urgency. She was flexible and willing to work with numerous opinions from our families. She was both knowledgeable and respectful our family's cultures and traditions.
We met with Claire and her team for our food tasting about five months before the wedding. The entire catering staff was highly knowledgeable, extremely customer-oriented, and had mastered their craft. Candidly, we had a hard time making our food selections since everything was so wonderful. Ultimately, we selected the filet and the sea bass - both of which, our guests raved about. We also selected their champagne cake which was incredible!!
As our wedding day was approaching, the team went above and beyond. The front desk helped us prioritize early check-ins and room upgrades for our VIPs. Our honeymoon suite was exceptional. Our rooms for getting ready with the wedding party were fabulous. Note, almost every other venue that we viewed only included a room for the bridal party (if that), and we would have needed to purchase a separate room for the groom and groomsmen. Additionally, our rooms for getting ready was massive - perfect for hair/makeup, etc. and had the best view of Newport!
Every detail on the day of was virtually perfect. All of our vendors liked working with the team. The wait staff was highly professional and we had no issues with any of the staff the entire day.
I can't say enough good things about our experience! From what I have heard, many venues promise the world, and don't deliver on much, especially once you sign a contract. I can honestly say that was not the case with the Fashion Island Hotel. THANK YOU!
The staff and service at the Island Hotel was flawless and we could not have imagined our wedding day anywhere else! Everyone is extremely kind, friendly, helpful and overall a pleasure to work with.
