Our wedding at Deity was perfect! Everything went smoothly and we couldn’t have had a better time! All of our guests have been telling us they had such a great time and how perfect the venue was--especially for a wedding on New Year’s Eve! We were fortunate to have met Caio when we saw the venue for the first time and he was very open and informative about the space. We absolutely loved the tree on the first floor and even though the venue was a bit small he explained it actually can accommodate over 100 people easily. We really loved the cozy vibe with the exposed brick and strung lights. You can easily miss this place if you are just walking down the street so it felt like a hidden speakeasy in the middle of Brooklyn. If you are looking for a different experience than your typical catering hall wedding then this is a cool option. When we arrived at Deity the day of the wedding, everything looked like we had pictured it and talked about with Yulia beforehand. Yulia anticipated all of our needs and was great to work with. She was able to schedule some moments alone for us during the wedding which was great and memorable since the day did go so fast and there were many people to see. We were slightly worried about all the transitions from room to room, but Yulia and the staff made it seem effortless. We were worried about getting some of the elderly people up and down the stairs but Yulia made it work and there is a chair lift. The food was delicious! Our guests were raving about the filet mignon and everything really was delicious. The only thing we really didn't like was the asparagus, which was rather thick and tough to eat. Other than that, we really enjoyed all the food, including the cocktail hour--the braised short rib sliders and grilled cheese bar were a real hit! We were also extremely happy with Jamal the DJ. It was cool that the venue comes with the DJ and the chairs, linens, food and even basic decor for the tables.

Perfect bar Mitzvah at Deity
We hosted our son's bar mitzvah at Deity and we could not have been happier with how everything went. First of all, the space is so beautiful that we did not have to spend any money decorating it. It is very hard to find a full service venue these days where you don't have to rent everything that goes into the space- Deity has everything you could possibly want or need, and it is all included in the price, which makes planning so much easier. Second, the food is absolutely delicious (our guests all raved about it). Third, the staff is truly incredible. From beginning to end we did not have to stress about any of the details as they took care of everything. As someone with a more than full time job, I really appreciated not having to worry about planning every detail because the staff at Deity was so on top of it and guided us through the whole process. The staff could not have been more kind and professional in helping us deal with a medical emergency in the middle of our party. The staff made sure we got the medical assistance we needed for the guest while making sure the rest of our guests (and in particular the bar mitzvah boy) were still enjoying the party (the fact that Deity has several floors made that easier too as the guests could continue to have fun on one level while we were attending to the guest who needed help on the other level). It was a difficult situation and they could not have handled it better. I cannot recommend Deity highly enough.

Great venue and a seamless wedding
Hello all. My wife and I had our wedding at Deity on 9/15/18. From the beginning, the venue was tremendously helpful in making our wedding planning very smooth and easy. We loved the venue immediately, and were impressed with the quality of the operations and the fact that so many aspects of the events could be handled in-house (wedding planning, food, drink, decoration, DJ).
We met with the venue a few times and planned everything out. I was confident the day itself would go smoothly, but it exceeded my expectations, particularly in terms of the quality of service and how seamless everything was. This allowed us to take in the event and not worry. The ceremony was beautiful (and we got food/drink right after it) the cocktail reception was fun and laid back, the dinner was classy and our guests loved the food, and the dance party was epic -- the DJ kept our friends dancing until the 12:30 end of the party.
We highly recommend Deity based on location, historical nature of the beautiful venue, quality of food and bar service, and the party. Book way in advance -- it fills up fast for all the reasons we listed!

I LOVE working at Deity!! First of all, the space is gorgeous. It is a photographer's dream with beautiful exposed brick walls on every floor and a very clean, fresh, and warm vibe. If you choose to get the bridal suite (which I recommend!), the sun drenched apartment is second only to the roof deck with a pool and beautiful sunset views. Even without the bridal suite, the space is a dream. That is just the cherry on top! I have to take a moment to say that I was not bribed or paid to write this review. I actually love the space this much. OK, moving on.... I am completely smitten with the staff there. They are somehow a totally calming presence while also being extremely on top of things. They really care about their clients (AND their vendors), and they just want everyone to have a wonderful experience. Caio, James, Haley, and the entire staff invited me onto their team with warmth and a spirit of absolute teamwork. Again, I have to reiterate that these are my real feelings. I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm actually obsessed with Deity.
