Deity was a dream come true for us!

We got married in October 2025 at Deity Events in downtown Brooklyn, and our experience was nothing short of magical. From the very first moment we toured the space in spring 2024, we knew it was the one. The venue is stunning — modern yet warm, with gorgeous architectural details and an effortlessly chic vibe that feels both elevated and welcoming.

Deity is truly a dream for couples planning a wedding in NYC. They host weddings from 50 to 150 guests, and we chose their 50-person micro wedding package. Their pricing is transparent and incredibly reasonable for NYC — packages range from $12K–$18K, and we added their breathtaking bridal suite for an additional $3,000, which was worth every penny. The suite is spectacular: two bathrooms, a shower, a full kitchen, a balcony, incredible photography space, a huge sleigh bed, a stunning tub, luxe velvet and leather furniture, exposed brick, and access to a rooftop with a hot tub and cold plunge. It made our wedding morning feel like a luxury retreat and gave us the most beautiful getting-ready photos.

What really sets Deity apart is that they are fully all-inclusive and tip-free, which made planning so much less stressful. They handled coat check, bartenders, staffing, a day-of coordinator, DJ/MC, room transitions between floors, passed appetizers, a excellent, generous family style seated dinner, and a full bar with fantastic food and drinks. They also offer beautiful decor basics including a gorgeous hexagon arch, candles, mirrors, table numbers, linens, chairs, and all flatware. This allowed us to personalize the day with our own invites, florals, attire, officiant, dessert, and additional vendors without feeling overwhelmed.

Our coordinator was absolutely phenomenal — calm, organized, and truly invested in making our day perfect. The owner, Caio, was lovely, warm, and incredibly professional throughout the entire process. We had several planning meetings, a detailed walk-through, and many email exchanges, and we always felt supported and at ease. We also loved the group tasting experience they offered with other couples getting married that month — it was such a thoughtful and fun touch.

All in, we were able to have our entire wedding in downtown Brooklyn for around $35K — about $20K to the venue and $15K for extras — which felt like an incredible value for the level of service, quality, and beauty we received.

Location-wise, Deity is unbeatable. Being so close to Barclays Center meant there were at least seven hotels within a seven-minute walk, making it super convenient for our out-of-town guests.

The flexibility to bring in our own vendors (outside of food and alcohol) made the entire process smooth, creative, and joyful. Truly, the whole experience was seamless from start to finish.

I would choose Deity Events a thousand times over and can only highly recommend for other couples to choose Deity so they can have an equally incredible experience, as well.

Our Dream Wedding at Deity

We got married on October 25, 2025, and choosing Deity was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We wanted our wedding to feel like Brooklyn - a little chic, a little charming, both unconventional and elegant - and Deity couldn’t have been a more perfect vibe and atmosphere. The all-inclusive package made planning the whole event a piece of cake. Caio, the owner, was really good about communication through the entire process (which was almost 2 years for us!), and the planning meetings we had were thorough and super organized. With 105 guests, the space felt pleasantly full but never over crowded.
The food and drinks were delicious and abundant and the chef was great about working with our guests’ allergies and dietary restrictions. The salmon and short rib were great entree choices, and we loved every single appetizer we picked for cocktail hour (we still dream about those potatoes). Dinner service was prompt, efficient, and we witnessed Caio checking in on all the tables to make sure they had enough to eat throughout the whole night. Deity did a great job of batch prepping drinks, they fulfilled our signature cocktail request perfectly, plus the watermelon margaritas that were waiting for us on the dance floor were strong and delicious!
Deity has the flow of weddings perfected. We both work in theater so our standards of good event planning are high, and Deity exceeded our expectations! At first glance, it may seem like a challenge to move a large number of guests between three different floors on a tight schedule, but the team manages it so well. They know exactly how to make each transition as smooth as possible, so no moment felt like people were being rushed into the next space or waiting too long for the next part of the night. They also did an excellent job helping with our older guests and guests with mobility issues - we had been nervous about the stairs between floors going in, but the staff was a huge help with making sure that everyone felt safe and comfortable traversing them.
We also highly recommend booking the getting ready suite. We did and it was so good having a home base for us to get ready, eat, have families and friends hang out, and take many photos before the ceremony started (plus there’s a hot tub on the roof)!
We felt incredibly well taken care of all day by Caio, Anastasia, and Matthew, and our guests have told us how great of an experience they had as well. We loved our Brooklyn fairy tale wedding at Deity and we’re so grateful to the Deity team for supporting our vision of our day!

Deity NYC Understood the Assignment and Then Some!

We had the most beautiful wedding at Deity NYC on September 18th, 2025, and it truly exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, the team made us feel so cared for — every detail was handled with love and intention.
We were so honored that Caio, the owner, was there every step of the way. Not only did he keep the flow of the evening seamless (and wow, what an incredible MC he is!), but he went above and beyond — personally helping my husband’s grandmother, who uses a wheelchair, get to every floor of the venue. That moment alone showed just how deeply the Deity team cares about their couples and guests. The sign that says “Brooklyn Love” isn’t just décor — they truly live by it.
A special shoutout to Anastacia, who made me smile all day long and somehow managed to bustle my dress in under five minutes — she’s a total unicorn! Chef James created absolute perfection on every plate; our guests are still raving about the food. The Caviar Potato was an unforgettable showstopper!
Thank you also to Matt, who made every guest feel at home and coordinated our late-night bites — such a fun and delicious touch. The bartenders absolutely understood the assignment (let’s just say everyone’s dance moves improved after visiting them 😂).
And DJ BenHa — you are one of a kind! Every song hit perfectly, our requests were honored, and the dance floor never stopped. It was pure joy from start to finish.
Deity is truly a gem — from the stunning multi-level design to the heart of the people who run it. Our guests were completely wowed as they experienced each unique floor throughout the night. We can’t wait to come back to celebrate more love and milestones in this magical space.
Highly, highly recommend Deity NYC for any elegant, love-filled event. Thank you for helping us create the best day of our lives! ❤️

Best. Wedding. Ever.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ BEST. WEDDING. EVER.

We just had our wedding here and it was everything we could’ve asked for. We’ve heard from so many of our guests that it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to and that it ran so smoothly. There were so many great things, but if I had to name a few, these would be it:

The getting ready suite:
If you’re even thinking about getting it, DO IT. It made the morning so calm and stress-free not having to go anywhere after getting ready. The suite is gorgeous and the photos that came from it were unreal. It was big enough for everyone to get ready in and we had access to it starting at 10am, which was a total lifesaver. We had a small issue with the AC and Anastasia was immediately there to handle it, honestly shows how well the venue is run even when something unexpected pops up.

Anastasia (day-of coordinator):
When I tell you I turned my brain off, I mean it. I was just a bride that day and did whatever she told me to do , everything went perfectly. We didn’t have to think about a single thing. She made sure everything we wanted actually happened (no one coming in after the ceremony started, enforcing our black dress code, seating exactly how we asked, etc). The ceremony rehearsal she led went so well that the real thing flowed perfectly — even the music timing for our walk down the aisle was spot on. She bustled my dress, made sure we had drinks and water, took amazing photos and videos, and somehow was everywhere at once. Anastasia, thank you. You made it possible for me to actually relax and enjoy my wedding! I trusted you completely and you delivered beyond expectations.

The food and drinks:
Oh my god, the food!! We had the short ribs and the salmon, and literally everyone was talking about how good it was. The short ribs melted in our mouths and the mashed potatoes were so good. It was also so nice that we got a few minutes alone right after the ceremony to eat and try everything.

The venue:
Deity is already so beautiful that we barely needed any flowers or décor. If you’ve been planning a wedding, you know how much flowers can cost lmao being able to let the venue shine on its own was such a win.

Just good to know (not negatives at all!)

We wouldn’t change anything about our wedding — it was the best day of our lives. But here are two things that might help other couples plan better:

DJ Benhameen:
The music was great and everyone had such a good time. The only small thing was that a few of our must-play songs (especially cultural ones I listed for me and my siblings) didn’t end up being played. During the wedding, I had an amazing time and loved every song, but looking back I was a little sad about those not making it in. If you go with him, just make sure to really emphasize that your must-play list is a priority. He’s super talented, and the transitions were great — it’s just something I wish I’d known going into our call with him. You’ll still have an awesome time regardless.

End-of-night clean-up:
Not a complaint at all, just a heads up. At the end of the night, you’re emotional, excited, and probably a little drunk , you’re not thinking about packing things up. We were handed stuff as we were walking out and thankfully my in-laws were there to take it for us. The venue does tell you ahead of time to organize before leaving, which helps, but if there was an option to pick up stuff the next day it would’ve made things even easier (though I totally get that other events happen).

If you’re thinking about having your wedding at Deity, just do it. You’ll get a beautiful space, amazing food, everything will run perfectly, and you’ll feel so cared for the whole day. It really was the best day of our lives — I wouldn’t change a thing

Amazing Staff, Beautiful Venue, Unforgettable Day

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience at Deity. The space is really eclectic in the best way. It balances elegance with a little Brooklyn quirk, especially in the cocktail hour room, which all of our guests loved.

From start to finish, the planning process was simple and straightforward. You have one big meeting where everything gets laid out. After that, Anastasia, Caio, and the rest of the team were always quick to respond to emails when we needed to make adjustments. They were professional, organized, and made sure both we and our families felt taken care of throughout the day. Having almost everything in-house (e.g., everything less flowers, cake, photography) also made the whole process less stressful. Compared to other venues we looked at, Deity felt like a value and a way to make our guests feel like they were having an "authentic" NYC/Brooklyn wedding.

The food and drinks were another highlight. The short rib was especially memorable, and the bar staff worked with us to create custom cocktails and pre-batch them so no one was stuck waiting in line. The DJ was flexible with our specific music tastes and vision for the evening and collaborated seamlessly when we brought in a drag queen for dinner, which turned into a huge hit with our guests.

I’d also recommend booking the couple’s suite. It gave us a place to relax, get ready, and even host a pool party that added a really fun element to the day! Relaxing with our wedding guests earlier in the day was a really great way to connect with folks.

Overall, Deity delivered on every level. We’re grateful to Anastasia, Caio, and the whole team for making our wedding day everything we hoped it would be.

If you’re looking for a sign to book the Deity as your wedding venue, let this review be it

My wife and I could not have dreamed of a better NYC venue. It combined the charm and the convenience that we feel living in this city every day.

The Deity is a one stop shop and the most well oiled machine. Our wedding was the largest sit down dinner they had ever had at the venue and, given the challenge we imposed, everything was executed so seamlessly.

We loved how everything was all in one place and so did our guests. Both wedding parties used the bridal suite to get dressed and ready. Additionally, maneuvering through the venue was so fun because every change in level felt like a different chapter of the night, each one better than the next.

We loved how we took all of our photos on-site because of how aesthetically beautiful the venue was. There is no need to waste time going to elsewhere.

Long story short, if you’re looking for a beautiful venue, in a great area, with staff that communicates, is upfront about costs, and makes you feel like royalty on your wedding day, the Deity is for you!

Stress-Free Wedding

Our wedding was on November 2024 and Caio and his team at Deity had made it such an easy process! Let’s rewind a bit to when my wife and I were venue shopping. We had initially stumbled upon Deity through their amazing reviews and reached out to Caio to see if we can take a tour of the venue. His response time was faster than any of the other places that I’ve reached out to and he has been so accommodating to my schedule to tour. Upon touring the place, it was such a “Brooklyn vibe” with the exposed brick in the loft as well as the amazing cellar and dance floor. Its unique structure was also a great selling point for us as all of the places were isolated on a specific floor. The highlight was certainly the wedding suite on the top floor! After our tour, we knew that this was the place for our wedding. Initially, we were planning a micro wedding but having physically looked at the venue, we opted for the all-inclusive wedding along with the bridal suite option. Honestly, the prices were too good not to go for it. Caio and his team thankfully had the exact date we wanted for our wedding.

Planning for the wedding was such a breeze thanks to Caio and his team. They would periodically reach out to coordinate the wedding and any questions I had would prompt an immediate response from his team. Caio’s team coordinated everything with my additional vendors and honestly made planning so easy. All I had to do was just tell his team what I wanted for the wedding.

Inching closer to the day of, we had scheduled a food tasting with Chef James so we had a better idea of what to pick for the menu. If you have the budget for it, certainly opt for the tasting. Chef James is a master at what he does. Every single plate of food that was presented was meticulously explained and not to mention delicious! One of the biggest things that guests care about at a wedding is the food and let me tell you, the food was delicious. We had our reservations of whether or not there would be enough food given it was family-style, but all of our guests were well fed and full. After the wedding, our guests wouldn’t stop talking about the food!

On the day of the wedding, we had access to the venue in the morning to bring our outfits to the wedding suite. This area was great as it provided the perfect space for us, along with friends and family to get ready. Hair and makeup were all done in the wedding suite prior to the wedding. Guests upon arrival were directed by staff and for welcome drinks and taken to the loft prior to the ceremony. After the ceremony, we were directed back to the wedding suite for a chance for the two of us to enjoy some snacks and take a breather while guests were enjoying cocktail hour. Halfway throughout cocktail hour, we were guided back to mingle with guests and then went back upstairs for the reception. After enjoying a wonderful meal, it was time to party down at the cellar. DJ BenHa had such a great playlist and guests enjoyed a wonderful night of dancing. Plus, the open bar concept and specialty cocktails curated by the bartending team were such a hit. Even to this day, when I speak to guests, they can’t stop talking about our wedding.

If you want an affordable, all-inclusive, all-planned out wedding, Deity is your bet. Caio and his team will ensure that your wedding will be stress-free and a breeze.

The first best day of the rest of your life together

We discovered Deity while searching for a unique, character-filled venue that could comfortably host our 100-person wedding—and we’re so glad we did. Deity is a fantastic option for small to mid-sized weddings, especially if you want something different from the typical catering hall.
One of the biggest perks? All-inclusive pricing—gratuity included. Rates are based on the day of the week and season, but everything is laid out clearly with no surprise fees. The venue includes the ceremony space (which is transformed throughout the evening into the dining area), cocktail bar/lounge, and basement dance floor, as well as their in-house DJ.
You only pay extra if you want to add the on-site penthouse and rooftop (highly recommend—it was totally worth it), or upgrade your food and beverage package (premium liquor or open bar). Overall, the pricing is transparent and stress-free, which made budgeting so much easier.
From the moment we first contacted Deity, the team was incredibly responsive and helpful. We started our planning journey with Anna, who gave us a thorough tour and patiently answered every question we threw her way. Later on, we transitioned to working with the owner, Caio, who seamlessly continued the process.
Deity keeps some planning elements flexible, so you’ll handle your own florals, desserts, photography, and makeup, allowing you to personalize your day however you want.
The venue itself has a rich history—it was once a synagogue, then other businesses, and now an event space. They’ve preserved many of the original architectural features, which give the space a warm, intimate charm you won’t find in a standard banquet hall. Uniquely New York. Just note: it’s an older building, so there’s no elevator.
One of the highlights of planning was the tasting dinner with Chef James. It was not only a delicious evening but also a great way to meet some of the staff who’d be working the event. The menu options were one of the reasons we chose Deity—and the food more than delivered. Cocktail hour and dinner were phenomenal, with flavors that exceeded our expectations.
The day-of coordination team made us feel like absolute rockstars. Their attention to detail and calm professionalism ensured everything ran smoothly. This team is truly invested in making your wedding the best it can be.
If you opt for the penthouse suite, you’ll have access from the morning until after the ceremony—a perfect space for photos, especially if the weather doesn’t cooperate (it rained on our day, so this was a lifesaver). There's plenty of room for getting ready, plus an outdoor hot tub and ice plunge on the rooftop, which adds a fun, relaxing touch.
The ceremony space itself feels cozy and intimate, ideal if that’s the vibe you’re going for. The flow of the night is a little different than traditional venues—dinner is served first, followed by dancing—but it worked perfectly for us. We chose to do our cake cutting and dessert in the basement, which was a fun way to transition into the party.
Our DJ, BenHa Meen, was amazing—he kept the energy up all night and read the room perfectly. People danced until the very end!
Final Thoughts
We had an incredible experience at Deity and wouldn’t change a thing. The venue, the food, the team—everything came together beautifully. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the space and the food, and we’re still glowing from how perfect it all felt.
If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind venue with charm, character, and a truly supportive team—Deity is it.

Brooklyn gem of a venue

My husband and I got married at Deity on 6/5/25. We were impressed by this Brooklyn gem of a venue when we toured it a year ago with owner Caio and our fantastic day-of coordinator, Anastasia. Deity is an all-inclusive venue that allows you to personalize your event, and we are happy that our wedding reflected our personalities.

We spent our wedding day at Deity with the rental of their “getting ready” suite, which was the perfect space for hair and makeup, dressing privacy for bride & groom, first-look reveals, formal family & wedding party photos, and eating/caffeinating to keep up our energy before the main event.

My husband and I received several compliments from our guests about the delicious food, which was impeccably made by Chef James. Deity did a phenomenal job accommodating vegans, celiac/gluten-free guests, and folks with food allergies/sensitivities.

Many thanks to Deity for being the perfect venue for us and for having a top-quality in-house DJ (shout-out to DJ Ben) and equally wonderful preferred vendors, including our photographers, Megan & Kenneth, and our florist, Stonefruit Botanical. Deity delivered on their promise to rock out our wedding!

Perfect Brooklyn Wedding Venue

All expectations were far exceeded for our wedding day at Deity! We wanted a chic New York aesthetic and the venue delivered on every level, literally. Each floor is unique, functional, in good condition, and has so much to offer for pictures. Deity includes almost everything you need for the entire experience and great 3rd party vendor connections for what remains. We did not need a wedding planner. Caio, Anastasia (our day of coordinator), and the rest of the amazing staff took the best care of us leading up to and on the day of the wedding. We were treated like royalty and really felt special. DJ and music kept the dance floor active the entire night. Finally, we had HIGH expectations for the food and cocktails after our tasting. And even these were exceeded. Everything was delicious and you can trust quality for each of your guests will be as good as your initial tasting experience. Chef James is one of a kind. We can’t rave about Deity enough.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.

I LOVE working at Deity!! First of all, the space is gorgeous. It is a photographer's dream with beautiful exposed brick walls on every floor and a very clean, fresh, and warm vibe. If you choose to get the bridal suite (which I recommend!), the sun drenched apartment is second only to the roof deck with a pool and beautiful sunset views. Even without the bridal suite, the space is a dream. That is just the cherry on top! I have to take a moment to say that I was not bribed or paid to write this review. I actually love the space this much. OK, moving on.... I am completely smitten with the staff there. They are somehow a totally calming presence while also being extremely on top of things. They really care about their clients (AND their vendors), and they just want everyone to have a wonderful experience. Caio, James, Haley, and the entire staff invited me onto their team with warmth and a spirit of absolute teamwork. Again, I have to reiterate that these are my real feelings. I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm actually obsessed with Deity.
