Museum Wedding Venues in Greater New York City Metro

The Bronx Zoo was our first vendor choice for Venue back in the beginning of our engagement and we are so glad we were able to finally see everything come together in May 2022! Working with the staff, especially Robyn, was very easy and easy-going but professional attitude made us feel welcomed and in good hands. Robyn made every part of the process extremely easy, even when we had to postpone our original date due to COVID. We contracted with the Zoo for approximately 125 persons and ended up with around 135 persons, which we found there was plenty of space for in the reception hall. Everything ran smoothly the day of - all vendors were able to get to where they needed to be without issue, we had some amazing staff help shuttle us around for photos (and guests to the ceremony site) and they were able to quickly get guests into the Madagascar exhibit when it started to rain after the ceremony. The cocktail hour at the Sea Lion pool and the catering was a big hit with our guests and we also got a lot of compliments on the food. We would highly recommend the Bronx Zoo for any couples looking for a unique, guest pleasing venue.

Museum of the Moving Image is not your typical wedding venue - which is exactly what we wanted. BG, our venue coordinator was such a pleasure to work with. This was the first venue we visited and instantly knew it was the one for us, a lot of which is down to the level of service BG provided. We had just shy of 100 guests, reception in the main hall, and used the Red Stone Theatre for the ceremony. Our guests LOVED that they had access to the museum throughout the night, it was such a fun and interactive night for them. We're so glad we chose MOMI as our venue and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different and quirky, thank you to BG and the whole MOMI team!

From the first time I visited the Rotunda, I just fell in love. I knew I had to have my wedding reception there. They are located on the water in Sheepshead, Brooklyn. With ceiling to floor windows all around, the view is just spectacular. At first, a lot of my guest were worried when they heard we were having the reception at a school. But once they got there, they were just blown away. Some people said just sitting by the water and having a cocktail made them feel comfortable and all their worries were gone. The staff that worked with us were very professional and helpful. Kate Wayler was the best. After the wedding, we actually missed her. She made everything just perfect. She coordinated all the vendors and made sure everything was done correctly.

The City Reliquary is the perfect place to have a unique, individual, off-beat wedding. It is well suited for DIY-ers and is a dream for those who would like to tailor the event to their own taste, style and budget. The space itself is a joy for both out-of-towners and native New Yorkers.

We had our wedding here on 9.22.18 and it was the best night of our lives. The Queens Museum is absolutely stunning! Both of our families are local to Queens/NYC so being able to get married here had a special meaning to us. As a same sex couple, we definitely wanted to bend traditions a little bit and pick a non-traditional wedding venue. The Queens Museum fit the bill perfectly with its soaring ceilings, beautiful artwork and, of course, the NYC Panorama. As many other reviewers have pointed out, our guests were in complete shock and awe the entire time, and so were we! DelishNY provided the catering and Emily Herbig, the catering manager and coordinator, was in what felt like nearly constant contact for over a year. 2 months before the wedding, we were thrown a curve ball by the announcement of a gigantic concert happening a stones throw away from our wedding. This caused us to completely freak out. Emily was cool, calm and collected and went above and beyond for us. She worked with the NYPD, the museum, the parks department and concert organizers to make sure our guests had zero trouble arriving and the two events co-existed beautifully. The food was also delicious and high end. There were so many options, narrowing down and choosing the final menu was a monumental task. Also, DelishNY also owns a staffing company who staffed our wedding with the most wonderful, hardworking people. The Queens Museum gave us the cosmopolitan, black tie modern wedding we've been dreaming of having. One important note on the venue if you're already considering having your event here. Lighting design is absolutely critical and will set the mood and tone for the entire affair. I've worked in production in the past so I know what professional lighting can cost and it might cause some sticker shot to you. Trust me, it's well worth the price. Use the designer that Emily recommends who has lit the space many times.
