Dallas World Aquarium

We still have a ways to go before the big day, but so far this has been an amazing experience! The venue is absolutely stunning with an unbeatable price!!! I looked at almost every venue in downtown Dallas and was pleasantly shocked by minimums for this place. Our cost included food, open bar, room rental, and the staffing for the entire event. My guests are going to be treated to an awesome experience rather than just another party in a ballroom. We can't imagine pledging ourselves to each other anywhere else. We are so excited!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Dallas World Aquarium. WOW! Where should I start? When looking at venues early on in the wedding process, we wanted something unique. We wanted to avoid the standard hotel ball room reception. So when we contacted the aquarium and realized that the cocktail hour could be held in the rainforest area, we were sold. The best part of having our reception at DWA was working with Kyle, Kelly, and Jen. They were so helpful with answering our (many) questions and taking our ideas and comments into consideration. They helped us schedule a food tasting and let us tour the aquarium many times throughout the year to help us plan accordingly. Their great attitudes made the wedding planning process go so smoothly. They are pros! When our wedding day actually arrived, everything was perfect. Our guests LOVED it so much that we are still getting compliments. The service was great, there was a lot of attention to detail, the food was delicious, the whole reception was super organized, and we can’t forget about the animals. I was also very thankful that they packed some to go plates for us with dinner and desserts since we didn’t get to truly focus on our dinner. On a practical note, the cost for my reception was around $20K. For reference, this included a 5 hour reception (including cocktail hour), full open bar, buffet, appetizers, desserts, room rental, staff, and steel drummer (which the guests loved) for 175 people. DWA also has cost minimums when booking an event FYI. Personally it can seem a little pricey, but you’ll end up spending around the same amount of money (or more) at other venues. For me, it was money well spent because the service was perfect and venue was super unique. At the end of the day, I cannot write enough words to express how genuinely happy I am with how everything turned out. It was even better than I envisioned. I highly recommend the Dallas World Aquarium for your event. Thank you Kyle, Kelly, Jen, and DWA staff for making my wedding day so perfect and special!

Kyle and Kelly were amazing. The night was great and everything went smoothly! As a bride, I appreciated this very much.

The only thing I'd like to see different would be that the groom is fed during setup as well. It was so nice to have a plate of food available to eat before everything!
