Unique Venue and an Unforgettable Event!

I'm truly perplexed that there aren't more reviews of weddings at the Perot Museum, because for a Sunday wedding it cost as much as a fancy barn in the middle of nowhere. Jessica and Andi made everything easy. They were so helpful and responsive. I had so much going on in my mind the day of the wedding, but everyone else knew what they needed to do, so it all ran smoothly. The guests loved the museum! Especially those who aren't fans of the dance floor can still enjoy themselves!

Great time, wish some areas were well lit

Perot was an awesome venue. All our guests absolutely loved it. I only have one complaint. The area were our cake was and the area of the guest book wasn’t lit at all. A lot of our guests could not see any of those and many didn’t sign or see the cake. It’s a shame. Our guest book was Star Wars themed and we had a Galaxy themed wedding cake.

A Stunning Wedding from start to finish!

I was honored to photograph a wedding at the Perot museum in August. I was able to join the bride and groom on their walk through with Jessica of the building which was a tremendous help when deciding where we would take their pictures (before, during, and after the ceremony), as well as how long it would take to get to each location. Jessica was an incredible resource , giving us floor plans and even letting us use the fire escape to make sure we got to all the fun spots our bride and groom wanted their photos taken. I can not recommend the Perot Museum enough! Seriously incredible location and quite affordable too!

Feel free to see more pictures I took of the event as well as some tips to make it more successful here:

When the bride and groom first suggested the Perot as a venue for their reception, we wondered how it could possibly work. However, once we met with the Perot staff and found out what the options were, and how they could be implemented, we were sold.

We were able to have access to the whole museum, with the cocktail hour on the 4th floor, dinner and dancing were on the main floor, which is cleared out and a wonderful spacious space for a unique wedding reception. Our guests were able to dance and explore the museum for the evening, and a bride and groom got the unique venue they had hoped for,

Since the wedding was on a Sunday evening, the cost was very reasonable, and we were able customize the experience as we wanted.

Nicole Benson and her staff were top notch from our first meeting until we walked out the door at the end of our wedding. Their planning, suggestions and assistance in planning and executing even the smallest details of our wedding simply exceeded our expectations. The staff was warm and responsive and the end result was night that was truly magic. This truly wonderful venue gave a night that our guests and my husband and I will remember for years to come.

Wonderful wedding at Perot

We loved our wedding at the Perot Museum. We had the ceremony in the Gem Hall, followed by the cocktail hour in the Dinosaur hall, finished with the reception in the lobby. Everyone at the wedding thought it was such a cool, unique venue. Such a beautiful venue and we had a great team at Perot who worked well with our day-of coordinator. Our wedding was the day after their biggest gala of the year, but still our wedding went off without a hitch. They made adjustments to our floor plan up until the last week before our wedding with last minute details.

We LOVED the Perot, and our guests did, too! The value really was pretty amazing -- we were able to rent the entire museum for less than the cost of a lot of other wedding venues in Dallas. All of the people we worked with at the Perot were very professional and friendly. My only nit-pick is that, on several occasions, we received conflicting information from members of the Perot team. I think this was due to some turnover on their team, and all those kinks are probably ironed out by now. Overall, everything was wonderful, and we are so happy with our venue decision!

Beautiful location - not set up for weddings.

I was incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism, lack of flexibility (every single thing you would think is a normal part of hiring a venue was not included and not possible and if you finally convinced them to 'say' move the orange chairs away from the agreed alter location they would charge astronomical amounts to do so. Then their partner vendors would attempt to charge you for the same service).

My parents, wedding planner and I requested the floorplan from Dave repeatedly over 5 months. We didn't receive an incorrect version until the month of the wedding. It wasn't laid out correctly (as per clear direction) until two days before the wedding.

Dave is completely unprofessional, unreliable and inconsistent.

We booked a meeting via email in which Dave responded to my wedding planner. Then on the day came unprepared to the meeting and said "I had no idea you would be here". We have in writing that he was fully aware. This is just one of many meetings in which members of the Perot events team contradicted themselves and each other.

It's a beautiful venue but very poorly run and they will try to charge you huge amounts for any normal inclusions. I was told during the walk through that one of the benefits of booking the perot was that they have a built in audio system that you can use free of charge. After signing the contract we were told it's an additional charge and cannot be used at the ceremony location. They wouldn't provide us with any vendors except 2 options for caterers. You HAVE to use their approved caterers which would be completely fine if they were able to provide the premium service they charge for. They did not.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
