We had around 70 people attend our reception and the cafe was the perfect spot for it! We were skeptical to even tour at first since the costs seemed higher then what I was getting quoted for other venues.. but as soon as we arrived the Wolfgang Puck catering team was so welcoming and their professionalism was next level. When we had our taste testing we got to meet with the Chef and customize our meals as needed. The food was AMAZING. When our wedding day came I was so relaxed because I knew the Wolfgang Puck catering team had everything under control. Would highly recommend!

The Modern was exquisite!! Sarah is incredible! The food... amazing! They set everything up perfectly. I (the bride) had someone from the Modern assigned to stay with me and help me. She would leave me alone but check in every now and then! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

We absolutely loved every minute of our reception at the Museum! The staff was overly friendly and altered to our every need from the planning process to the day-of. Sarah was a delight to work with and ensured every question was answered from the start. She had worked with my other vendors and planner (Tami Winn) before, so there were no issues concerning museum safety and understanding when set-up is allowed. The food was absolutely amazing! We have heard continuing compliments to the Chef and the museum staff! Sarah has masterfully conquered coordinating events at the museum, which is a huge accomplishment! She is on top of her game, from planning the food tasting to executing the set-up with the vendors. Sarah is a joy to work with and is a great addition to any team! We cannot thank Sarah and the Modern enough!!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the museum from the beautiful setting both in and outdoors to the Modern Cafe's outstanding food. The new chef has been a hit! It was also an absolute pleasure working with Sarak Krueger, the cafe and event manager. She is extremely professional, creative, and just a lovely person who helped make our day even more special. Kudos to the entire staff of the Modern. Everyone RAVED about the venue (how can you not, it's such a magnificent space) and food, even my pickiest friend. Yes, the venue definitely has certain restrictions but the staff was incredibly accommodating and supportive. My out of town guests were just blown away by the space and it served as a most beautiful backdrop for my daughter's wedding. My guests are still talking about it. Thank you, Modern!

Was bridesmaid of honor for my best friend in March. Reserved over 6mo. +. The setting was beyond wonderful and accommodating. cocktail hour was setup exquisitely where the newly weds were able to photograph and venture through the exhibits.

Beautiful venue, but you have no control over what pieces may or may not be on display at any given time...

This is an amazing wedding venue if you are looking for something striking and modern! We loved our small wedding in the Modern Cafe - the food was incredible, the ambiance was perfect and being able to view the gallery was so memorable for our family. There are some limitations because it is a museum - we were not able to take photographs in one of the galleries due to the artist's requests which was a bummer but we understood. It did not take away from the experience and there was plenty of other beautiful artwork to use as a backdrop!

My husband and I LOVED having our wedding reception at The Modern. It was STUNNING. So beautiful - I can't get over it, and neither can our guests. The catering director, Kristin, was great to work with. She is so professional and organized. She had it all covered! No worries there. At the actual wedding, the wait staff was beyond amazing. I don't think anyone had to wait for anything. Ever. The only thing I will say about the Modern that is "negative" at all is that there are a lot of strings you have to pull to get it the way you want it. All decorations have to be approved, and you're somewhat limited on what you can do. That said... it's such a beautiful spot that there is very little you need to do to it to make it perfect!!

In-house catering is required, and they seem thrown for a loop by unconventional menus. We struggled through the planning process to communicate our specific requests and make sure they were carried out, because of staff changes in the middle of the process, but ultimately the museum carried the event off exactly as we asked. It was beautiful, the food was delicious, and Kristen Hoffman (the event coordinator that filled the position toward the end of the process) even went so far as to lend me her powder compact before a photo. :)

Prices are steep, but the venue is breathtaking and sure to wow your guests. Kristen is a delight to work with, and the chef did a beautiful job adjusting to our specific requests. I would recommend this venue for the very particular bride with a specific vision, and also to the bride who wants a lovely event put together for her by an expert. They are flexible, and it seems that they would be great at both.

Go for the ceviche station! It was a HUGE hit with our guests. And be sure to set time aside to take photographs with your husband in the art galleries...those were some of our favorites.
