Sandy and her team were so wonderful throughout the wedding planning process. She was readily available and kept constant communication with us. She was very easy to work with and as someone who gets anxious or overwhelmed often, she was really great at helping me get past that and helped me focus on the important items. I didn't have to worry about much because she handled everything and the wedding day ran so smoothly despite weather thanks to her and her team. She took my vision and helped put together a design for the wedding perfectly. Her tips and suggestions also helped us a great deal. She also recommended some vendors that were amazing as well. I know my special day wouldn't have been the same without Chic Weddings & Events.

We had the pleasure of working with Sandy for about a year prior to our wedding. Planning in the post covid wedding scene was pretty hectic, but Sandy helped us manage our timeline to ensure we'd have things prepared well in advance, and also helped coach us on questions to ask vendors we interviewed, and review our interviews to help picka vendor to go with. It was honestly a bit of relief to have someone just sanity check your assumptions and help establish a baseline level of service for a vendor.

Then, on the day of our wedding we were hit by a tropical storm. Since my only attachment to the venue was the outside ceremony site I was pretty depressed about the circumstances, but honestly at this point I don't think I'd change the weather at all if given a choice. Sandy was prepped for the event, and on the morning of the wedding she woke up early to figure out where our photographer could get shots and coordinate decorations for the indoor ceremony space.

And then the actual wedding and reception happened and it all just worked so well. We'd been given horror stories of bride and groom not being able to eat, drink, being sore on their feet, missing out on things because of photography. Sandy mitigated all of that. She got us through family photos without any dawdling, giving us several minutes to snack and drink before then mingling with our guests. Constantly throughout the night she'd seem to not be present only to appear next to us to make sure we were hydrated and healthy. She somehow kept track of all the special glassware and customized items we had brought, including my custom champagne flute I set down and promptly forgot about, and ensured each and every one was retrieved washed and returned to us in good condition. She took food and drink orders from us before hand and made sure we got our specific deserts, drinks and bubble tea.

There was just so much that seemed to go right during our wedding that the weather feels like a minor thing now. If I had any complaint it's that the day really does end too fast, and there's just so much more time I wanted to spend with friends and family. It really meant a lot to me that Sandy was able to so effectively minimize every other concern I had for that day, and get so much more time with our guests then our initial schedule said we would. We are truly grateful.

Sandy from Chic Weddings & Events did an amazing job helping my husband and I with our last month of wedding planning. We were a little skeptical at first about getting a wedding planner, because we thought we could do it all ourselves, but there's no way everything would have gone so smoothly without Sandy! Sandy was a phenomenal person - she went above and beyond what I expected from a planner! She treated us as family. We had to move our wedding to a different state within a month due to family emergency and we really couldn't involve much in the planning or decision making process. Words cannot express how my husband and I feel about Chic Weddings & Events. We were specifically looking for a wedding planner who would understand how to plan and execute a bi-cultural wedding. When we first met with Sandy, it was clear that Sandy had full confidence in helping us bring our vision to life. Some specifics to highlight include: prepping a detailed outline of our wedding events, managing and coordinating with our vendors, and helping us sort through the logistics of our cultural ceremony (and not to mention, even helping us build the Chinese lanterns!!!). We truly appreciate the genuine care that Sandy had toward honoring both sides of the families in the Chinese Tea Ceremony. One of the moments that we really loved when working with Sandy was a couple weeks before our wedding day, both my husband and I were in high levels of stress when we discovered that both sides of our families were asking for a specific wedding tradition. We could not understand why it was so important to our families (and for bringing it up so last minute!) -- Sandy not only validated and empathized with our feelings; but, she made it happen. The outcome was BEYOND incredible.

A personal moment that I will forever treasure from Sandy on our wedding day was right after one of our Chinese Tea Ceremonies. Sandy knew the levels of stress I was under the morning of, and in between the ceremonies -- Sandy not only reassured me that I was doing all the right things, but she also teared up when validating and normalizing all the feels I was experiencing. I absolutely loved the authentic emotional moment we shared.

The entire Chic Weddings & Events team was absolutely amazing and a joy to work with. Eric was a mastermind behind the scenes; we truly cannot thank him enough for helping us assemble/bring to life the floral arrangements for our wedding. Leigh was truly a lifesaver during the day of our wedding. Not only did she and Sandy tag-team our entire wedding ceremony, she even helped me with the train of my dress and stayed with me and my parents to ensure a smooth process before the wedding ceremony.

Lastly, we love how Sandy helped us even after the wedding by sorting through the remaining wedding logistics. She was so sweet and even gave us a congratulations gift!

If you are looking for a team of wedding planners/coordinators/florists who have full confidence in executing your wedding vision, you have found a really great team. A true pro! We would have definitely been lost without Sandy and her team. From helping us realize our vision to executing two ceremonies in a day (eastern and western wedding ceremonies), Sandy really went to bat for us! I would always remember the time I forgot the ring in the room, Sandy went running back to grab it for us because we were all in line already. Save the day, and probably my marriage! Sandy was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and really helped us to develop a vision for our wedding. Sandy and her team were very communicative, and we were very comfortable going into our wedding day that everything would turn out beautifully. When we arrived at our venue on our wedding day, we were blown away by the floral arrangements – they were even more beautiful than we had imagined! We hired Chic Weddings for the flowers for our wedding in April 2019 and I am so glad we did. Sandy was such a pleasure to work with in the months leading up to the big day and on the day itself.
