We fell in love with Cana the moment we stepped out of our car for our tour. The grounds were absolutely lovely, and we loved that we'd have the full property for our guests and wedding celebration. We got married in the vines (breathtaking), our cocktail hour was on the porch area, and our reception was in the shelter. We loved how our guests could move around as they pleased, experiencing different perspectives of our celebration. We also appreciated all of the support the team provided us with some of our guests who needed extra accommodations into the vines (really amazing experience!) Leading up to our wedding, we'd visit Cana--we'd bring the pups, our friends, and our family--making it a larger part of our story, beyond it just being a venue. Throughout every experience the staff at Cana make you feel like family. Meagan, Brittany, and Don (who we worked with most) have been absolutely amazing and much needed familiar faces (especially on the day of our wedding). Cannot wait to host more events at Cana and continue building stories with this team.

PS While we loved the venue and the idea of getting married in the vines, we also loved the back up rain plan (and with getting married in VA in the spring, you need to be prepared for rain). Cana was all around an amazing choice and was the perfect canvas for our dream wedding. Meagan and Brittany were incredibly helpful and so on top of everything--they were both much needed calm in the excitement of all of our planning festivities

My husband and I absolutely love Cana. We knew the moment we turned into the vineyard that this was the place we needed to get married. It was beautiful, Meagan was so nice, and the wine was tasty! Meagan was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process, answering questions when we had. The caterer we picked from their list (Smokin Willy’s) was amazing and they worked together so well. During our walkthrough, Meagan and her assistant Dana were so helpful and made sure to touch on every detail possible to make sure our wedding day went as smooth as possible. Day off, Meagan and the team at Cana were so wonderful and flawlessly played an important role in our wedding day. We cannot recommend Cana more as a beautiful backdrop to your wedding day!

The staff was incredibly helpful, flexible, and personable. They were transparent about everything they would provide, but were also willing to work with any extra details we wanted. They also were super great with helping us figure out a plan for every type of weather (we had an outdoor ceremony in November, so this was a big deal). Great experience! And beautiful.

I cannot say enough good things about the venue and the staff! Everyone is so helpful and customer driven. Meagan did an outstanding job when it came to answering questions or just being there for anything wedding related. Our guests LOVED this venue they loved how different each space was and how they could be out in the open by a fire or with a cigar without any worries.

We had our wedding here on April 30th. Everyone at Cana was helpful and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning and event. It was such a beautiful venue, and the wine was really good. Highly recommend having an event here

We celebrated our Daughter's wedding at Cana Winery last October and could not be more pleased with both the facility and the courteous staff. Alison, the wedding coordinator, is one of the kindness and beyond helpful persons to work with. She made suggestions along the way, always available to respond to questions, and helped with every detail, including gathering our items at the end of the evening. The winery is beautiful as well as the surrounding views which allowed for outstanding photo opportunities. We highly recommend family/wedding party photos on their grand staircase! The wines are wonderful and several of our guests have become members after the wedding!! The Winery has four caterers from which they require you to select from, which was helpful too. We highly recommend Angela from A La Carte Caterers, wonderful food, artful setup, and work seamlessly with Alison. We truly recommend Cana Winery for anyone wishing to create a beautiful and magical wedding experience!!

We had our ceremony at Cana on Friday, 11/1 at sunset next to their young vines, and then had the reception inside and under their tent. It was perfect, and we could not have found better anywhere in Virginia. They worked with us every step of the way. Their grounds are beautiful, the grounds are amazing and the building is perfect for a wedding. They are prepared for everything you could want. Private Bridal Suite, sound system, power, tables, lighting, atmosphere, views, bathrooms... you name it, they got it. If we had to do it all over, we'd do it here again.

My wife and I were able to have the most beautiful wedding reception at Cana Vineyards and Winery. Alison, our event manager, was absolutely invaluable in working with us and our caterers to make our night the most amazing night we could have asked for. We cannot express how much we appreciated her hard work, attentiveness, professionalism, and thoughtfulness in the months leading up to our special day and especially on our wedding day itself. My wife and I loved our wedding at Cana. They laid out just a couple of ground rules, but otherwise they were highly flexible and responsive to our needs. Their event coordinator, Alison, was quick to respond to emails and patient with us as we worked through the details of our ceremony and reception. Our decorations were relatively simple and uncomplicated, but even so I have to commend Cana for their flexibility and responsiveness to last-minute requests. Working with Cana was a joy, and was consistently among the least-stressful parts of planning our wedding.

And, it goes without saying, the venue itself is stunningly beautiful. From the mountains in the backdrop to the grape vines, to the picturesque patio and gazebo where we had our ceremony, everything was absolutely gorgeous. We were able to take pictures in the vineyard itself, among the grape vines, which is normally off-limits to regular customers. They also allowed us into their wine-barrel room (again, normally off-limits) for more pictures. This allowed us to have a range of beautiful photos in both indoor and outdoor locations.

Overall, we could not be more pleased with Cana. Everything worked out incredibly well and meshed perfectly with the vision and feel we wanted and ended up getting for our wedding. But here are two things to be aware of to make sure Cana will be a good fit for your wedding: first, they do not allow open flames, so if you're planning that as an integral part of your wedding, you will need to look elsewhere. Second, they require that you choose your caterers from 4 pre-approved companies that they normally work with (although it sounded like they would be happy to vet a company of our choosing, if we went that route). In our case it was a non-issue, since we checked out the first caterer from their list (John Feist) and absolutely fell in love with his food and service, but if you are set on a particular caterer you will want to keep their limitation in mind.

Hard to beat Cana's location (up on a hill overlooking VA foothills) and beauty. Meagan, Cana's event manager, is absolutely unparalleled and was one of the best parts of our vendor experience. The size was great for our 120-person, COVID conscious wedding, and Cana's ability to spread out the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was helpful in the end. It poured all day leading up to our ceremony and we had enough covered spaces to get read (for the ladies) and take the majority of our pictures to stay dry. Our hands-down best photos were from some photos taken in the vines after our ceremony -- a great perk of this location. Arranging transportation is a must-do for this location -- it's very dark at night and you don't want people driving themselves home.
