Butera The Florist is a floral design studio focused solely on weddings and parties. We exclusively service Bar Harbor, Acadia and the Greater Blue Hill Peninsula region of Downeast Maine. We specialize in exquisite bespoke floral designs. For more than four decades our wedding and party clients have appreciated our ability to match BUTERA artistry to their own original style.

The first step is a meeting with Vince to explore floral ideas for your wedding day. During the consultation, colors, styles and fresh flower concepts are discussed to achieve a style that will tell your story on your wedding day. Butera The Florist is available to not only deliver the flowers, but distribute bouquets, teach proper holding techniques, install all floral decorating, and have everything “just perfect” when your guests arrive.

Vincenzo Butera (Vince) is a nationally known floral designer and speaker who has been awarded membership in American Academy of Floriculture, American Institute of Floral Designers and Professional Floral Communicators International.

Vince was inspired at age 7 to make Christmas centerpieces for his family out of fresh pine branches from his yard... that began his love of floral design. 8 years later he began working in a greenhouse and as a floral assistant, then received a BS Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Delaware Valley College with a focus on floral design.

1980 was the beginning of Butera The Florist, with a vision of bringing floral artistry to his hometown of York, PA. Now some four decades later, that God given talent and passion still exudes.

He and Carolyn, his wife of 46 years, fulfilled their dream of living in Downeast Maine and moved their home and business to the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine in 2021, after being 4th generation summer residents of Swan's Island, ME. They have four adult children whose own creative endevours have them working in Maine and around the world.
