We had a wonderful experience with Valerie/Fawn Meadow Flowers for our Portland, Maine wedding! When she dropped off my bouquet the afternoon of my wedding I welled up with tears over how beautiful they were and how perfectly she had captured my organic vision. Valerie was professional, flexible to meet our budgetary needs, and open to changes leading up to our big day. She did an incredible job with our florals but also installed a suspended greenery arbor of our dreams. As someone who cares about sustainability, I especially appreciated her use of locally grown florals and greenery sourced from her very own farm! I still have guests talking about her own grown stunning dahlias months later.

I ordered flowers from here for my wedding and was absolutely horrified at what I received. About a week before the wedding, I confirmed that what was on the invoice was correct. Upon delivery, the two wrist corsages I had ordered were not delivered. Those two wrist corsages were suppose to be for the mothers of the bride and groom, so it left me scrambling as to what to do. Secondly, the flowers were already dying and turning brown upon delivery. It has been noted through other reviews that nothing was mentioned about the quality of the flowers upon delivery. That’s because I was so horrified and beside myself about what I was seeing, I couldn’t even comprehend the entire situation. The bouquets didn’t even look close to what I had requested. My bouquet looked like a rectangle and the bridesmaids bouquet didn’t even come close to being all the same size. Also, I specifically asked for the grooms boutonnière to be white. When the flowers were delivered, what I was told was the grooms boutonnière was red, not white. My bridesmaids had to take apart all the bouquets, take out all the dead branches and weeds, and completely redo them. Thankfully, what my bridesmaids put together for me turned out wayyyyy better than what I had received. After delivery, one of my bridesmaids tried calling the vendor numerous times and left a voicemail. My bridesmaid still has yet to get a phone call back. I also have since emailed the vendor and have not heard a response. I was told I could be reimbursed for some of the miscommunication, but that is rather hard to do when the vendor will not return emails or phone calls. Seeing what was delivered for my wedding left me in tears. The thought of having to walk down the aisle with what I saw in front of me was heartbreaking. For anyone who is looking to use this vendor for their wedding, DON’T DO IT!!
