chose this location for the beachfront ceremony site and the ability to have our guests stay at the venue if they wanted. The room block discount was incredible and 95% of our guests stayed at the hotel. Chelsea, Carah, and Riley were incredible to work with and so quick to respond to any questions we had. If you all are looking for a florist, we highly recommend Carley at Sweet Stems as she made the vision come to life for the beautiful beachfront tent the venue offers.

Our wedding at the Beach Retreat and Lodge was absolutely amazing! It is such a gorgeous spot to get married on the beach in Lake Tahoe and to have an outdoor wedding reception. The beachside tent is in the perfect location, right above the ceremony spot on the beach. Our wedding was about 80 people and the ceremony area and reception spot felt perfect for our more intimate wedding.
We got married in September, the weekend after Labor Day. This was the perfect time because the hotel and the beach were less crowded than it tends to be in the summer, but we still got great summer weather early in September. While a little windy, the wind died down by the time of our ceremony, and it ended up being sunny and 75. It also stayed a decent temperature after the sun went down because the Beach Retreat has outdoor heaters. No one was ever cold!
A major reason why we chose the Beach Retreat over other lakeside wedding venues is because it is an affordable hotel and all of our guests ended up staying here. This was great because we had a Sunday wedding, so a lot of guests ended up coming on Friday and we got to see so many people and hang out with them leading up to our wedding. And we also ended up doing a wedding party beach day right there at the Beach Retreat beach that Saturday before, which was really fun. The Beach Retreat has a couple restaurants, which was very convenient for guests, plus the beach Tiki Bar and a few fire pits spread around the property. A big group of our guests ended up hanging out by the Sidelines fire pits every night, and the front desk gives out free s'mores.
Having the honeymoon suite all 4 nights we were there was also great. That's where the bridal party was able to all get ready (there's a lot of space!), and it was so nice to be able to just get ready there and not walk far at all to then go get married.
There are also so many scenic spots for photos! We ended up doing both our first look and sunset photos on the pier. It was gorgeous. And then we did wedding party and family photos on the beach. The aisle between the pine trees is also a gorgeous spot.
We worked with Chelsea upon booking the venue and for several months after. She was SO great and answered all our questions. We then worked with Carah in the few months leading up to the big day and she was also SO great and detail-oriented, fine-tuning all aspects of our big day and coordinating everything down to small, personal details. It's so nice what the Beach Retreat is able to provide, and you're able to personalize the layout in the way that you want it. Words cannot describe how amazing our wedding was, and it truly was the best day of our lives. We'd highly recommend the Beach Retreat to anyone looking get married in Lake Tahoe!

We chose this location because we could do beachfront wedding and still have an indoor reception. The views were breathtaking but more importantly, Chelsea, was so easy to work with. She was with us from planning to day off and always made sure we were good! Highly recommend Chelsea and the Beach Retreat.
