The Topaz Meeting Room is ideal for a reception with its expansive windows overlooking the Truckee River and downtown Reno. Elegant vibe that instantly elevated our event
We recently hosted our wedding reception in the Topaz 2 room at the Renaissance Downtown Reno Hotel, and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough!
From the very beginning, Rebecca Moralez, the catering/events manager, was incredibly helpful and attentive. She patiently answered all of my questions leading up to our big day, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. Her professionalism and warmth made us feel confident that everything would go perfectly—and it did!
The Topaz 2 room itself is stunning. It’s modern, spacious, and exudes an elegant vibe that instantly elevated our event. The décor and ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration, and our guests were just as impressed as we were.
The food was another highlight. Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and received rave reviews from all our guests. It truly made our reception memorable.
Overall, the Renaissance Downtown Reno Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a venue for your next event, I highly recommend this hotel—especially with Rebecca Moralez guiding you through the process. This place is THE BEST!!
I had my wedding reception at The Renaissance in their Hideaway room, and let me tell you, this place is AMAZING! I worked consistently with Rebecca from the beginning, she sent me a pdf including all of their info and pricing, which is fairly straightforward, plus explained to me anything that I was confused about. They didn't have any other events planned in our space the day of our wedding, so they happily offered for us to go in early to set things up if we wanted to. When we arrived, the seating was not as we had discussed, but I found someone quickly who was able to fix it with no issues whatsoever, so everything was absolutely perfect when we arrived later for the festivities.
The spaces to choose from are awesome, the pricing is mind-blowingly affordable, the in-house catering is delicious (we got 3 of their different "stations" and it was still way too much food for everyone, so if you're looking for something more casual, don't be afraid to pull the trigger on that option!), all of their staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, they're flexible on accommodating us, AND they included a king corner suite for us at no additional cost! They even snuck some extra goodies into our room for us to make everything extra special.
If you're looking for an indoor reception venue, then look no further because this is your place! You're going to love it here!

Reception to remember
A huge shoutout to Danielle, Rebecca, and Mark from the event coordinating team at Renaissance. This vendor relationship has been in the making for 3 years. They are the definition of being flexible, reliable, and professional. The planning went so smoothly and they accommodated every single request. Even when there were minor hiccups they were on top of it and went over and beyond to fix it. The guests loved everything about the hotel from the food, location, and overall ambiance and experience. The renaissance is truly a local gem in Reno. Thank you for making our wedding day so special.

Magical And Memorable
They did an extraordinary job and were very friendly, professional, kind, helpful, even helped us set up and decorate for the wedding ceremony and reception and made the day go smoother. It was a really good experience overall. I was very satisfied with my experience with them and it definitely made my wedding day so much better and much more magical than I could’ve ever expected. I absolutely loved the work they did along with their level of professionalism and I am very grateful I paid for their services. We used the River Rock room and I definitely recommend them and will definitely use again in the future. The hotel room we got with our wedding package was amazing and it was a really amazing night just in general and very magical and memorable and I couldn’t have seen myself having the wedding any other way.

Awesome venue!
I loved having my wedding at the Renaissance! It was a small wedding of about 25 people, and the River Rock room worked perfectly. They were so flexible with us and friendly along the way. They definitely made us feel special! I'm not sure how prices compare for larger weddings, but it was very reasonable for my small one.

The team that worked with us in the day of the wedding made our day flawless. As the bride, having a unique style wedding, this setting was perfect. Our guests continually compliment our celebration.
The staff here understood the vision, simple ..easy & only enhanced our ideas while keeping us comfortably in budget. They were extremely helpful with the process. They worked seemlessly with our coordinator/rental company. (Elevated events).
The team was amazing. From little details, to making sure I had champagne and my lip gloss, to taking care of our dog, tidying up our room so we would wake up to a nice clean space. Lint rollers, ironing service for the groomsmen, keeping our flowers fresh. . . They made everything very special, no problems at all. I would recommend working with them for any events you need. Their personalities are vibrant, kind & funny, the best combination to guide our entire stay celebration.
