A foodies dream!

Chef RJ was fantastic!!! My husband did most of the communication up until the wedding and Chef was always extremely responsive and professional! We had a vast selection due to several guests with allergies and we couldn’t have asked for a better chef! Chef RJ was early and prompt with set up and cooking/prep on site! The food was delicious and everyone raved about it! With the grooms family hailing from Louisiana, we knew having a high quality meal would be the icing on the cake. Many have already inquired about how they work with Chef RJ in the future

Amazing food

RJ makes absolutely amazing food!! Everything was so delicious!! He is very reasonable with price and accommodating with the menu. My ONLY issue was he hit (fairly hard) on one of the guests, who was also married. Not only did he hit on her, he squeezed her butt and said quite inappropriate things to her. All of this was seen and overheard by another guest. He was professional to everyone else at the reception.

Great food at a great cost…

Chef miles was extremely unprofessional. Cursing, lashing out at guests, late, snarky comments, FORGOT HALF OF THE MEAL!!!, and complete opposite of personable !!! The food was delicious, but would never want anyone in the situation myself, or guests were in.

Cancelled on us!

Chef RJ was not always responsive, and cancelled our special meal 4 days before! He gave a poor excuse, and I think only told us he was cancelling because we had reached out. He did not finalize a contract, or the meal, and then cancelled. He never even responded after that, to recommend someone else for us. He left us in quite a lurch!

Disappointed

I am not one to wish anyone ill will. I rarely write a bad review. But dang - wish I had read these reviews before I booked him. Everything I read rings true with our experience. He flaked on our dinner hours before. He did refund us. But no….just don’t take the chance.

Unprofessional and threatening

This company was hired for a small, private wedding in Outer Banks. Not only did he arrive late, he forgot food required for the main course and proceeded to yell and curse in front of quests while slamming doors and cabinets in the kitchen area. Chef RJ also insulated several guests by calling them redneck hillbillies—apparently in an attack to their appearance or speech. Even making matters worse, the groom attempted to diffuse the situation and Chef RJ pulled out a large knife moving towards the groom and threatening him. Services were already paid for.

Do not hire

Absolutely would not recommend. Completely unprofessional. He had a conversation with my wedding planner on his way to our venue stating he had forgotten beef for our dinner and which we had already paid for. Our planner asked him to go back and get it. He arrived to our venue 3 hours late. When he arrived he was slamming cabinets and cursing in front of my family. Before any food was prepared he starting packing up his things and said he was leaving. Groom tried to ask what the problem was and followed him down to the car. This is when Chef RJ call him a redneck hillbilly and pulled out a 12 inch filet knife and stated he would filet him like a fish. This was tragic for my wedding day and would not want this to happen to anyone else
