Frank and the team at Bassett did an incredible job catering our wedding! There was so much food and everything was delicious. We got so many compliments on our food specifically! Frank is very easy to work with and he knows how cater a wedding perfectly. Portions are very generous, at both the tasting and the wedding!

Bassett provided a symphony of service for us and our 150 guests and made an amazing day even more delicious.
First, the food- it was super tasty, the options were varied and balanced, the portions were superabundant and satiated even the hungriest of our guests.
Second, the service- simply outstanding, the servers were well trained and well mannered, the bartenders excellent and efficient, the chefs outstanding.
Third, the adaptability the entire staff showed in handling space limitations, timing of food, setup limitations and anything else that was thrown at them was nothing short of amazing. A testament to their management, training and vast experience.

Isn’t food the most important thing in a wedding ? Forget everyone else and hire Bassett Caterers, the best caterer in Brooklyn ! One of our best choice when planning our destination wedding in Brooklyn last May. We are not foodies but we love tasty and international food so we were looking for a caterer capable of setting up a buffet with a mix of flavors, with a budget constraint. We were so happy to have found Bassett Caterers who managed to make our wedding food unforgettable : Our guests are still talking about it as they never ate that much at a wedding !!! They raved about the Mexican station and the guacamole, the mini beef burger during cocktail hour, the Sushi boat and the desert gallery ! In the package, food catering comes along with soft drinks, china, linens, wait staff. Frank and the Bassett team were my caterers for my wedding at the Glasshouses on 10/28/17. They were wonderful to work with and are so easy going. We met with Frank for a tasting and both agreed that the quality and taste of their dishes were excellent. We knew we made the right decision to hire them as our caterer. We held our wedding reception for 135 people at The Dumbo Loft last Saturday night and Bassett executed cocktail hour to dinner service to dessert flawlessly. From the moment we first met with Russell and then Frank, they treated us like family and were so honest with us throughout the process. When they tell you there's going to be so much food, they mean it. When they tell you they've got everything under control (bar service, linens, tables, delivery, set up, clean-up, etc. etc. etc.), they mean it.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bassett Caterers for any special event and if we could get married all over again, they would be the very first vendor we'd call. Like what so many of our guests told us, "This is so much better than regular wedding food!"

My wife and I got married at 501 Union in Brooklyn on January 7, 2017 and Bassett catered the event. From the hors d'oeuvres, to the entrees, to the desserts, all of the food was incredible. Our guests raved about it! We met with several caterers and did a few tastings. Without question, Bassett provided the best food for the best value. Throughout the planning process, Frank was very accommodating and flexible with our requests. On our wedding day, Domenick and his team were true professionals. The service was top notch and everything went off without a hitch (even though there was a snowstorm on our wedding day). Bassett gets our highest recommendation!

Basset's knocked it out of the park. The food was great, the staff was courteous, and their whole operations team was on-the-ball with emails, phone calls, etc. Faced with some absolutely outrageous price quotes from hipster Brooklyn caterers, Bassett's was a life saver in terms of value and quality. If you're looking for a team that puts emphasis on impeccable, old-school hospitality and manners and less on impressing you with their Instagrammable "seasonably inspired, local, non-GMO tasting menu" for $200/person (seriously, we had a few caterers in the area who were just insane with their proposals), this is absolutely the way to go. I have worked with several caterers throughout New York City and I was impressed with Bassett Catering. Professionalism, value and service was so on point. I have to give them an A+. Everyone is still raving about the food and the amount of food. Beyond tasty and so generous with portions and literally a five course meal. Contact Frank he made me feel like family. I had read about this company when looking for a wedding venue in NYC that would accommodate a large amount of people, but not break the bank. Bassett is wonderful because you can negotiate your meal options; they really have a price and package for everyone, from buffet style, to a four-course seated dinner. Their options might not seem "fancy" but when was the last time you had a "fancy" wedding meal that actually tasted good? Stick with what your guests know and like and they'll walk away feeling happy :)

The tasting alone was beyond generous and informative. We were expecting a few bites of food and a sell-up discussion. Frank made full plates of food, both generously presenting appetizers and entrees for us to try. Frank is a great, normal guy who loves his business and wants to make you happy. No request is too small, and the best part is his honesty and transparency. They make all of their food in-house and it's so fresh and good, you won't be disappointed. Even the pigs in a blanket are homemade!

These guys are with you every step of the way. Most of their packages include linens, china, silverware and glassware. They do not include alcohol but you can drop it off at their site and they will bring it on the day of your event. They truly save you time, money, and stress.

We knew we'd get incredible service, but Bassett surprised us even still: We had specially requested a mashed potato bar and a hot chocolate bar. These were a few dollars per person more but made all the difference. Everything was beautifully displayed and blew us away. You get professional, special service for a price that makes you do a double-take.
