  Excellence in Everyway

  Bassett provided a symphony of service for us and our 150 guests and made an amazing day even more delicious.
  First, the food- it was super tasty, the options were varied and balanced, the portions were superabundant and satiated even the hungriest of our guests.
  Second, the service- simply outstanding, the servers were well trained and well mannered, the bartenders excellent and efficient, the chefs outstanding.
  Third, the adaptability the entire staff showed in handling space limitations, timing of food, setup limitations and anything else that was thrown at them was nothing short of amazing. A testament to their management, training and vast experience.
  We can't thank Frank and the Bassett team enough for catering our beautiful day.

  Isn’t food the most important thing in a wedding ? Forget everyone else and hire Bassett Caterers, the best caterer in Brooklyn ! One of our best choice when planning our destination wedding in Brooklyn last May. We are not foodies but we love tasty and international food so we were looking for a caterer capable of setting up a buffet with a mix of flavors, with a budget constraint. We were so happy to have found Bassett Caterers who managed to make our wedding food unforgettable : Our guests are still talking about it as they never ate that much at a wedding !!! They raved about the Mexican station and the guacamole, the mini beef burger during cocktail hour, the Sushi boat and the desert gallery ! In the package, food catering comes along with soft drinks, china, linens, wait staff.   Frank and the entire team at Bassett Caterers have exceeded all of my and my fiancé’s expectations. They did an amazing job at my April 7th wedding. We are still getting compliments about the food. Everything was perfect and I won’t hesitate to recommend anyone to them!!

  Frank and the Bassett team were my caterers for my wedding at the Glasshouses on 10/28/17. They were wonderful to work with and are so easy going. We met with Frank for a tasting and both agreed that the quality and taste of their dishes were excellent. We knew we made the right decision to hire them as our caterer. They definitely made sure that my guests were well fed during our cocktail reception and sit down dinner. The staff was extremely professional and made sure that my wedding day was perfect. I would highly recommend Bassett Catering for your next event!

  I cannot thank Frank and the entire Bassett team enough for hitting it out of the park for our wedding day.
  
  We held our wedding reception for 135 people at The Dumbo Loft last Saturday night and Bassett executed cocktail hour to dinner service to dessert flawlessly. From the moment we first met with Russell and then Frank, they treated us like family and were so honest with us throughout the process. When they tell you there's going to be so much food, they mean it. When they tell you they've got everything under control (bar service, linens, tables, delivery, set up, clean-up, etc. etc. etc.), they mean it.
  
  I wholeheartedly recommend Bassett Caterers for any special event and if we could get married all over again, they would be the very first vendor we'd call. Like what so many of our guests told us, "This is so much better than regular wedding food!"

  My wife and I got married at 501 Union in Brooklyn on January 7, 2017 and Bassett catered the event. From the hors d'oeuvres, to the entrees, to the desserts, all of the food was incredible. Our guests raved about it! We met with several caterers and did a few tastings. Without question, Bassett provided the best food for the best value. Throughout the planning process, Frank was very accommodating and flexible with our requests. On our wedding day, Domenick and his team were true professionals. The service was top notch and everything went off without a hitch (even though there was a snowstorm on our wedding day). Bassett gets our highest recommendation!

  I have worked with several caterers throughout New York City and I was impressed with Bassett Catering. Professionalism, value and service was so on point. I have to give them an A+. Everyone is still raving about the food and the amount of food. Beyond tasty and so generous with portions and literally a five course meal. Contact Frank he made me feel like family. I will use them again for other parties too.

  Thank you so much to Frank, Russell, and the whole crew at Bassett's! We were married in May 2016 in Brooklyn. We opted for a "stations" set-up with many different types of food options. Basset's knocked it out of the park. The food was great, the staff was courteous, and their whole operations team was on-the-ball with emails, phone calls, etc. Faced with some absolutely outrageous price quotes from hipster Brooklyn caterers, Bassett's was a life saver in terms of value and quality. If you're looking for a team that puts emphasis on impeccable, old-school hospitality and manners and less on impressing you with their Instagrammable "seasonably inspired, local, non-GMO tasting menu" for $200/person (seriously, we had a few caterers in the area who were just insane with their proposals), this is absolutely the way to go. Good food, great people, superb value. Thanks again!

They worked with us on pricing, the food was delicious and the staff was professional and hard working. Their attention to detail gave me the peace of mind that everything was taken care of and all the guests raved about the food and the service. I can't so enough about how pleased we are with Bassetts.

  We had a wedding with sit down dinner for 140 and I am the mother of the bride. Bassett Caterers were stellar from beginning to end. Frank Bassett is a sweetheart and will do whatever it takes to make you happy. It felt like he was a family member and was so invested in how our catering experience was. The food, service, set up, planning, staff, response time were excellent. Phone calls were always returned promptly and all issues and concerns were addressed immediately. They set up everything we asked at the venue, the staff was courteous and professional every step of the way. They provided bartenders, mixers, passed appetizers, china, glassware, silverware, linens (floor length and choice of colors!). Frank made this vendor experience a delight and I would use them again in a heartbeat! Everyone loved the food!

  Bassett was a dream come true for me. I opted to have my wedding at an open loft NYC venue where I was required to bring everything in. Their pricing is upfront and extremely competitive. They were able to offer many rentals as part of the package and added anything else that I needed. Their flexibility and willingness to work with you is what makes them shine. Given the nature of my open venue, I required a lot of coordination and manpower for setting tables up and doing it in a timely fashion and Bassett delivered. Their staff was helpful with setup and breakdowns and even made sure my husband and I ate throughout the night, even saving us extra entrees to eat. They were professional and attentive and paid extra attention to my husband's and my family to make sure they were well taken care of. Bassett also had no qualms about serving something that was not on their menu and people raved about the food and how much they got. No one left our wedding hungry. I can't say enough good things about them. Bassett may not be the fanciest caterer out there, but don't be fooled! They will provide you with plenty of delicious food with a 5 star dining attitude.

  If you need food for an event -- from a small backyard BBQ, to a 135 person wedding, Bassett is there for you from start to finish. Don't be put off by their corner deli exterior: Bassett is beyond professional and what's more, they truly care about providing their customers with fantastic food.
  
  I had read about this company when looking for a wedding venue in NYC that would accommodate a large amount of people, but not break the bank. Bassett is wonderful because you can negotiate your meal options; they really have a price and package for everyone, from buffet style, to a four-course seated dinner. Their options might not seem "fancy" but when was the last time you had a "fancy" wedding meal that actually tasted good? Stick with what your guests know and like and they'll walk away feeling happy :)
  
  The tasting alone was beyond generous and informative. We were expecting a few bites of food and a sell-up discussion. Frank made full plates of food, both generously presenting appetizers and entrees for us to try. Frank is a great, normal guy who loves his business and wants to make you happy. No request is too small, and the best part is his honesty and transparency. They make all of their food in-house and it's so fresh and good, you won't be disappointed. Even the pigs in a blanket are homemade!
  
  These guys are with you every step of the way. Most of their packages include linens, china, silverware and glassware. They do not include alcohol but you can drop it off at their site and they will bring it on the day of your event. They truly save you time, money, and stress.
  
  We knew we'd get incredible service, but Bassett surprised us even still: We had specially requested a mashed potato bar and a hot chocolate bar. These were a few dollars per person more but made all the difference. Everything was beautifully displayed and blew us away. You get professional, special service for a price that makes you do a double-take.

  Wow is all I can say! If you are even thinking of using Bassett, don't think anymore about it, do it!!!! They may look just like a neighborhood deli/restaurant from the outside but they are professional, delicious, helpful, hard working and just plain amazing!!!
  
  We worked with Frank and he was more helpful than I could have ever asked, we loved him!! He assured us step by step throughout the whole process about anything and everything we had questions about, and the day of, everything was just as amazing as we ever could have dreamed!!
  
  We had them provide all the linens, some extra tables, and of course the food.
  
  It was all absolutely delicious, so much variety, and a great value (lots of food and very very reasonable pricing).
  
  They set up all of our tables and chairs, making our dinner tent look incredible!
  
  We also had them provide a bartender and bar service (they can't provide the alcohol but everything else) and they sure had everything!! All mixers, garnishes, everything!!

  I found this caterer by reading other people's reviews. We went to their location in Brooklyn to sample and met with Frank. He greeted us with a smile and served us a large sampling, it covered the entire table! We had crab cakes, tuna tartare, pork tenderloins, eggplant parm, salmon and so much more. My hubby is a foodie and was very impressed. We booked immediately.
  Don't be fooled by their storefront. While their location looks like your neighborhood deli, they provided great food and service. We used them for party rentals too (tables, chairs, linens, set-up). They were very accommodating when our venue changed the drop-off times a couple of days before the wedding. The day of, the elevators stopped working for 4 flights and never once did they complain about it! They set-up the bar and tables, linens, napkins so professionally. We are still getting compliments about the decor and the food. No one ever likes wedding food! They even stored our left over alcohol that night for a couple of days, again no complaints!

  Bassett did a fabulous job at my daughter's wedding.With the help of Frank who not only provided assistance throughout the process from tasting to answering all calls, requests and questions in regard to my daughter's outdoor wedding venue, helped us turn out the best possible catered affair.   Bassett did a fabulous job at my daughter's wedding.With the help of Frank who not only provided assistance throughout the process from tasting to answering all calls, requests and questions in regard to my daughter's outdoor wedding venue, helped us turn out the best possible catered affair.   So wonderful! Everybody loved the food and raved about it nonstop. They also stayed until 12:30 and kept serving food and drinks- even though the contract was only until 11pm. They were incredibly flexible and patient throughout the planning process and were a joy to work with. Also, their pricing cannot be beat!

  I can not say enough about Frank and the team at Bassett Caterers. We were lucky enough to have our event in a beautiful midtown Manhattan art Gallery but there was no way I could afford to have a Manhattan Caterer at a $100+ a head. I wanted amazing quality food without the price tag. From the moment I called Bassett, I was treated with that good old small town customer service I'm used to from being from a small town myself. Its not something you come by often in a big city like NY. I couldn't believe how reasonable their prices were but once I tasted the food - I was sold! We had passed hor doureves, buffets of food during cocktail hour and a seated plated 3-course dinner. The service was impeccable and everyone RAVED about the food. Frank kept in constant contact with my coordinator during the weeks leading up to the wedding which allowed me to be worry free before my wedding. I knew our wedding was in good hands with Frank and the team and they went above and beyond in so many ways. The food kept coming, everyone was happy and most importantly - we were happy.

  My family is still raving about the food at our wedding - I only wish we had taken some home to enjoy the next day! First of all, Frank is wonderful. My husband and I met with him several times - two times for tastings - and a final consult before the wedding. He makes you instantly feel that everything will be great - and it is with the great team he has working with him. The food was delicious and plentiful (particularly the stuffed shrimp and eggplant rolotini are to die for), the staff was extremely helpful on our wedding day and their prices are very competitive. We recommend them wholeheartedly!

  The food was amazing! We got a lot of compliments from our guests. They were very helpful and responsive and did everything we asked. We got all our rentals, staff, bar tenders and food from them and it was great not having to deal with lots of vendors for our loft wedding.
