Historic. Waterfront. Perfect.
Since 1981, guests at the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s waterfront location have enjoyed a breathtaking view of the Inner Harbor. With spaces both indoors and out, a convenient downtown location, and a free, on-site parking lot, the BMI offers an unrivaled backdrop for weddings.
Inside the historic oyster cannery building, a floor-to-ceiling wall of windows overlooks a beautiful brick terrace and spectacular views of the Inner Harbor. A separate space for cocktail hour affords guests the opportunity to explore galleries filled with local history.
Named after a founder of Black & Decker, the Alonso G. Decker Gallery accommodates 300 guests for a seated event; 250 seated with space for a dance floor and food stations; or 500 for a cocktail reception service. An adjacent brick terrace affords a spectacular view of the Inner Harbor. The Decker Gallery is available from 6:00 pm to midnight.
Our Open-Air Pavilion has an unforgettable waterfront setting, perfect for any event from a casual crab feast to a formal wedding ceremony. The pavilion accommodates 300 seated guests or more for cocktail reception service; additional space is available on the adjoining waterfront point. Clear sides can be lowered during mildly inclement weather. The pavilion is available from 6:00 pm to midnight.
Rentals include 25 tables (60″ rounds each seating 8-10 guests), chairs, a sweetheart table, tables for gifts/favors, a security officer, and did we mention free onsite parking?
We are happy to open our exhibition galleries, including the Machine Shop and Cannery, Garment Loft, or Print Shop, for your guests during the first two hours of your event for an additional fee.

Best Venue Ever
Finding the perfect venue is probably one of the toughest decisions you will make when planning a wedding. For us, we wanted a venue that was welcoming, unique, centrally-located, and affordable. We toured a lot of venues that had one or two of those characteristics, but only BMI had it all. There's something special for every guest at this museum, as evidenced by all the people who would go on to tell us this was the coolest wedding venue they'd ever been to. The cherry on top was the staff. Kelley was a pleasure to work with. Unlike a lot of venues, she never tried to place the hard sale on us with anything. She was always easy-going and accommodating and took the stress out of everything. We must've asked her a thousand questions in months leading to our wedding, and she was always so helpful and responsive. She was also incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when it came to other local vendor recommendations. We can't recommend this venue enough.Sent on 08/18/2019

Kelley, our coordinator at the Museum was nothing short of AMAZING. She was so quick to respond to any and all of emails, answered all of my questions and just made my husband and I feel much more at ease.
This venue is so beautiful and there's so many amazing things you can do with it in terms of decorations and themes. So much creative freedom to take in with the Baltimore city scene.
Would definitely recommend

Gorgeous venue with great staff
BMI was a great place to hold our wedding! We had the option for the outdoor ceremony and then did our reception inside. The venue was unique and beautiful. Kelley, our contact there, was extraordinarily helpful, responsive, and accommodating. We were super happy with our experience there and would definitely recommend it to any couple looking to get married on the Baltimore Harbor!Sent on 09/13/2019
Baltimore Museum of Industry's reply:Sara, thank you! We adore Kelley too and would be lost without her. Thanks for taking the time to review us!
What a fun, funky location for a wedding or any event! Thoroughly Baltimore!
The BMI is the uniquest and fun venue in Baltimore to photograph. Brides and grooms are able to have ceremonies in the Pavilion overlooking the Baltimore harbor; Guests enjoy cocktails on the patio and inside the museum, plus photographs at sunset with both the BMI sign and the Domino Sugar sign make it a "must" for clients looking to have a fun reception.
