Historic. Waterfront. Perfect.
Since 1981, guests at the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s waterfront location have enjoyed a breathtaking view of the Inner Harbor. With spaces both indoors and out, a convenient downtown location, and a free, on-site parking lot, the BMI offers an unrivaled backdrop for weddings.
Inside the historic oyster cannery building, a floor-to-ceiling wall of windows overlooks a beautiful brick terrace and spectacular views of the Inner Harbor. A separate space for cocktail hour affords guests the opportunity to explore galleries filled with local history.
Named after a founder of Black & Decker, the Alonso G. Decker Gallery accommodates 300 guests for a seated event; 250 seated with space for a dance floor and food stations; or 500 for a cocktail reception service. An adjacent brick terrace affords a spectacular view of the Inner Harbor. The Decker Gallery is available from 6:00 pm to midnight.
Our Open-Air Pavilion has an unforgettable waterfront setting, perfect for any event from a casual crab feast to a formal wedding ceremony. The pavilion accommodates 300 seated guests or more for cocktail reception service; additional space is available on the adjoining waterfront point. Clear sides can be lowered during mildly inclement weather. The pavilion is available from 6:00 pm to midnight.
Rentals include 25 tables (60″ rounds each seating 8-10 guests), chairs, a sweetheart table, tables for gifts/favors, a security officer, and did we mention free onsite parking?
We are happy to open our exhibition galleries, including the Machine Shop and Cannery, Garment Loft, or Print Shop, for your guests during the first two hours of your event for an additional fee.

Cannot WAIT to get married here!
As two people involved in MANY previous weddings, finding a place where our immediate friends and family hadn't had THEIR weddings at before was really hard. While we knew someone who knew someone who had their wedding at BMI, again- none of our immediate circle had which was important to us. Ms. Angie showed us around and gave a very helpful packet of information. The cost for the time was very reasonable and everything that's included is REALLY going to wow our guests. Again, we CANNOT. WAIT.Sent on 10/22/2019

We love BMI and Kelley!
We got married at BMI November 23, 2019 and it was simply amazing. Kelley is the ABSOLUTE BEST! She will make you feel at ease- she is so easy to work with and also makes you feel like wedding planning is a piece of cake. We couldn't have been more happy with our wedding and choosing BMI. Everyone who attended our wedding raved about the venue and its uniqueness.Sent on 01/03/2020
Baltimore Museum of Industry's reply:Thanks, Elizabeth! We love having Kelley on our team too. Congratulations again on your beautiful wedding.

The most incredible venue!
I cannot say enough great things about BMI. Kelley was amazing from the minute we were even interested in the venue - she responds to emails quickly and genuinely cares about doing her part in making your day a success. She is not only a great help, but a great person. I was thrilled to find out she would be there the night of our wedding and she was just as attentive and caring as I anticipated. As for BMI itself, I could not imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The only thing we were a little bummed about when we booked is that you can't get married before 6:00 because the museum doesn't close until 4, but it ended up being perfect. We still did our first look and all wedding party and family photos prior to the ceremony starting at 3:15ish and we loved that. We got married on 11/2, the clocks switching that night, and originally were hoping to get married outside - we actually decided inside for the slight chilliness and darkness factors and we don't regret it one bit/felt it was just as beautiful. The sun setting in the background was unreal. Guests loved the atmosphere, the beauty and quirks of the museum, great photo opps, the stunning view of the harbor and the Domino Sugars sign. I could go on and on about this venue. Absolutely AMAZING experience!Sent on 11/12/2019

What a fun, funky location for a wedding or any event! Thoroughly Baltimore!
The BMI is the uniquest and fun venue in Baltimore to photograph. Brides and grooms are able to have ceremonies in the Pavilion overlooking the Baltimore harbor; Guests enjoy cocktails on the patio and inside the museum, plus photographs at sunset with both the BMI sign and the Domino Sugar sign make it a "must" for clients looking to have a fun reception.
