Receiving Early Wedding Gifts Shipped To Our House Off Of Registry
We have been receiving early wedding gifts shipped to our house that guests have purchased online through our registry. Our wedding is still 2 months away, and I am curious what the etiquette and custom is on thank you cards regarding this situation. Do the Thank You cards go out right away back to the people that have sent gifts early, or do all thank you cards go out after the wedding?

The thank you cards usually go out after the wedding. But you can really do it however you want. You can do them now or all together after the wedding. Its all up to u

i'd have to disagree with maddie (sorry!) it's actually quite nice of your guests to send the gifts ahead of time so they don't all pile up on you. definitely take advantage of the ability to get a jump start on your thank you notes. it's helpful to you, but also, part of the thank yous is to let people know that you actually received their gift. lots of folks get anxious about that kind of thing. here's some emily post etiquette info that might help:
