big brother/little sister dance
I have asked my older brother to give me away, and I want a song to dance to with him at my recptn. My dad has been passed away for 16 years and not very involved before then. My brother ( even though I fought himhim for a long time) has been the one cosistant man in my life, and I want him to have a special moment at my Wedding. Any song advice????

Have you checked out the father/daughter songs over at Daughter-Songs

There are some there that could be appropriate.

Any special dance song at a wedding should have meaning for the people dancing. Even if the song seems different. Is there a song you and your brother both enjoy? Is there a song that makes you think of him when you hear the lyrics? For example I sang Wind Beneath My Wings to my best friend at my wedding because she is the only sister I have and I wanted to honor her. There is always a solution. Check out our storefront and if you would like to talk more about it feel free to give us a call.

My only brother (and a younger brother, at that) gave me away at my wedding. We are both in our 20's and share a lot of the same tastes. We chose a song called "Sister" by The Nixons.

It had special meaning on several different new last name was to be Nixon, the band is from Dallas (just like my brother and I) and the words of the song just fit us perfectly. It is an alternative band that sings the song, but there is also an acoustic version that is beautiful and totally fitting for a wedding dance.
