I can't rave enough about Julie & Mario at Subtle Glances, where I got my absolutely gorgeous letterpress wedding invitation set made. I searched far and wide across the physical and internet world for a company that could make my letterpress invitations, rsvp cards, accommodation cards, direction cards, map, and envelopes in my very limited budget with the simple elegant design that I want . . . thank you to the powers that be that I found Subtle Glances. Letterpress is not cheap but soooo worth it, and for what you get, Subtle Glances is a great value.
The design process was a breeze. I had a telephone conference with Julie and told her my design concept "outdoors, simple, elegant, leaves or trees, carmel valley, ivory, green, and brown." If someone gave me these words I would've said make it yourself lady! But not Julie, she took these abstract concepts and she and Mario e-mailed me proofs with different choices as our jumping board. They just got it and are extremely talented young designers.
From there, my fiance and I selected the font we liked, asked for more movement, trees, etc. We are an indecisive couple and liked options and Julie & Mario so patiently took our suggestions and gave us options until we had our perfect invitations. They went out of their way to ensure that the process was seamless and that we were confident that the finished product will be exactly as we have envisioned.
The turn around was very quick, considering how many times we changed our minds and that fact that they letterpressed everything themselves. Then the day came when I received that big box at my house. I opened it with delight and could have cried. It was like opening a present because they packaged it so beautifully and their packaging went on to inspire the way I assembled my invitations to send out.
The paper quality is amazing, since they used crane's lettra paper, super high quality cotton paper, the letterpressing looks amazing, the colors were perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better product with better customer service. Julie & Mario...thank you soooo much. Everyone has complimented us on our gorgeous invitations and I have recommended you guys to my closest friends and family.

(Disclosure: Turns out I knew Julie from college, but I didn't know she had started this company). Julie and Mario are fun, flexible, and creative. They worked with us and gave us proofs until we had exactly what we wanted. The invitations were flawless, and they were also able to do other day-of paper items for us with digital printing. Everyone raved about the quality of the printing as well as the paper, and they were reasonable and so easy to work with that we couldn't have chosen a better vendor.

Subtle Glances did our save the date cards, invitations, favor tags, ceremony programs and escort card name strips for us. They were always very courteous, professional and delivered in a timely manner. They do beautiful, creative and innovative work. When I told them I wanted things a certain way, it always came back to me they way I wanted or if I didn't know what to do with something and asked for ideas, they always offered up suggestions. We received so many compliments on our paper goods. We would highly recommend Subtle Glances!

Subtle Glances was very flexible in the type of invitations we wanted designed. They did a great job with the design and had a wonderful attitude throughout the process. They even went the extra mile to hand-deliver them to us. We would highly recommend them to any friend of ours. The only thing they could improve upon was the follow up. A few times we had to check in with them about the timing of the delivery, but once the proofs were made, they were on top of it to make any necessary corrections to the following drafts.

These guys were amazing...they perfectly captured what we described in words, and customized what we wanted for so much cheaper than any other place. We were so happy with how the invitations and programs came out and got so many comments on how beautiful & personal they were.

The quality of the invitations, menu's, and programs we received were amazing. We had our invitations done by an online vendor before we heard of Subtle Glances. Comparing the the two, Subtle Glances by far had better quality, selection and prices. We used Subtle Glances for our menu and wedding programs and they matched the patterns from our wedding invitation we had previously ordered from the online vendor.
We also bought separate invitations for a second reception at a different date and location, and those came out beautifully. I just wished we had heard of Subtle Glances sooner.
I would recommend this for anyone I know having a wedding.

Subtle Glances were so helpful, especially since we had a quick 4-month engagement. They met up with us and worked with us on a design that really captured what we wanted. They were thoughtful and sent us drafts to make sure we were getting what we wanted. Our invitations and ceremony programs looked GREAT! We got so many compliments and many couples who got married after us, used our design. :)
