Lisa was FAN-TAB-U-LOUS!! I don't know what I would have done without her expertise. She made all of my wedding dreams a reality. In the middle of planning I started a new job and was unable to visit PR prior to our wedding. Lisa, while visiting Puerto Rico on a personal trip visited each vendor sent pictures of sample arrangements and worked with everyone to ensure our day was nothing short of AMAZING.

The day we wed...I cried when I saw how beautiful the room was. LISA is the one to make your day the best. She's patient, honest, responsive, resourceful (I forgot a few things and she went out and got them without a problem), and most of all has a heart of gold. If you're looking for your day to be the best...you have to hire the best! & Lisa Rodriguez is IT!

We did not have a traditional wedding- well I wore a white dress and my dad gave me away but that was about it! My husband had the idea to get married at El Morro Fortress at sunset and he painted a beautiful picture of what it could be. Me being the accountant and non-visionary bride and Jeff being the creative anything is possible groom must have taken its toll on wonderful Lisa, but she never let it show! Of course Jeff was in on most of the emails but trying to explain his vision in writing was difficult at best and then trying to fit it into our budget was nearly impossible- that is without Lisa! I can truely say that I was a mess the weeks leading up to the wedding and was not looking forward to dealing with all of the details, but those details never reached me, Lisa handled everything from the Thursday before the wedding throughout the entire night! She has a calming disposition, yet there is no doubt the woman has a spit-fire personality! If you are wanting to do a destination wedding but are concerned about who to hire, which you should be- I would suggest spending a day with Lisa and Rod and letting them tell you a bit about their island and take you around Old San Juan and tell you stories of places they have been and people they know, you will fall in love like Jeff and I did. Our wedding went off without a hitch and with 70 guests from the midwest in Old San Juan on a Saturday night, it took nothing less than a miracle- which we like to call Lisa!

Lisa did a fantastic job planning our destination wedding in Puerto Rico. I found that some vendors in PR are not always the most responsive/punctual and the New Yorker in Lisa really helped to get things done!

She responds almost immediately to emails and is very accessible with great recommendations. She's also very easy to get along with and you can tell she has good relationships with vendors.

The only drawback is that she now lives in NY and thus barely made it to our actual wedding day thanks to the Blizzard of 2010 - this is one possibility I hadn't really considered and it stressed me out a bit. But MAJOR bonus points to her for trying to catch a flight out of NY for 3 days in a row until she finally made it at 6am the day of our wedding - and everything went off without a hitch, whew!

Patricia and Lisa were amazing.

I had a very long engagement, never really having the time to stop and plan a wedding. Our children were spending the summer with their grandma in Puerto Rico and I have always wanted to get married there and what better time to do it. I contacted Lisa four weeks before we were to arrive there in the hopes that we could plan, what I would describe as a quickie wedding; seeing as we were only going to be there a week. She was able to put everything together and also arrange the appointment for the blood work and Dr. visit. Of course even event planners need a vacation and she had informed me she was going on one, ensuring me that everything would go smoothly and would be handled by Patricia. Patricia was amazing she answered all my questions and made me feel very relaxed about everything. When we arrived on Tuesday, she met us at the airport and had a taxi waiting to take us for the blood work. We met back with Patricia, Lisa and her husband which might I say is a very nice guy with swagger on Thursday at the Beach House Hotel where the ceremony was to be held. Now! I am obsessive compulsive about things and I was very disappointed with the Beach House (see my review). Patricia had sensed this right away and understood my discomfort. Lisa jumped into action and once we had left within an hour Lisa had called me and apologized on behalf of the Beach houses presentation. She had made some calls and arranged for a different location for the ceremony, I was nervous initially because the wedding was the next day and we were changing venues the night before but she had ensured me it would be fine and put me at ease. On Friday, the day of the ceremony I seen the NEW location, the Intercontinental Hotel in San Juan. I was astonished, it was extremely beautiful and CLEAN. She stayed there through the check in and went to the room with me to see how beautiful and clean it was. We were on the 15th floor with a balcony and an ocean view, it was amazing and what I was hoping for. Patricia was there the rest of the day, I was able to relax and get ready for the ceremony. I can’t say enough on how beautiful everything was, the set-up, flowers, the room, and the dinner were all amazing (perfect) and Patricia was there every step of the way for me. Even left a surprise of a heart shape of rose pedals on our bed when we returned to the room. She was very calm which calmed me and made sure everything was handled, it was one of those things where all you have to do is show up! The flowers were gorgeous my bouquet was amazing the color was just perfect, the center pieces were unique I had never seen such arrangements. To say the least it was worth the long engagement. I would highly recommend there service.

P.S. You ladies did a wonderful job and my husband, girls, mother-in-law, family and I are very pleased and can’t stop looking at the pictures thank you so much and I wish you guys more happy clients.

Lisa was absolutely wonderful if I could give her 10 stars in each category I would. She made my wedding day the most beautiful and extraordinary event of my life. The attention she gives to details is just out of this world. She is truly a god send when it comes to wedding planning.

Lisa was always super helpful and I loved how responsive she was - even with me only hiring her for the "day of" services. I understood that with some vendors in Puerto Rico you have to be pretty patient and will not always get quick responses...so it was great to have her to rely on if an emergency came up during my planning process. When we first met Lisa we knew instantly that she was the wedding planner we wanted. Her proactive nature, organization and attention to every detail made planning our perfect wedding so easy. Through her natural grace and charm she kept everyone (my wife and I included) focused and on track throughout the wedding day. Every detail we had asked for was expertly executed in a manner that exceeded our expectations. Lisa’s close relationship with vendors and hotel management made the planning process clear and easy to navigate.
We met with a multiple planners when considering our destination wedding, and Lisa instantly was our favorite. Our wedding would not of been possible without her. She guided us through the marriage license protocol, gave us great vendor contacts, and did beyond what we expected.

This review is way over due and my apologies to Lisa for that.

I am from New York, work in the hospitality industry, and am somewhat of a control freak so with that being said I like things done right, quickly and with great customer service. I am also a New Yorican and have been to Puerto Rico many, many times and know that can be a hard find, especially when you do not live on the island, are not familiar with vendors and do not have any friends that can give you recommendations.

For all those reasons I decided that I would plan the wedding myself, and with a lot of research time and a few trips to the island I was able to find the location and many of our vendors. But as time went on I really kept thinking about the day of the wedding and the few days before. We had 75 guest and most of them were flying in for a long weekend. I didn't want to have to be stressed the day of the wedding, and started to look for a wedding planner for the day of services.

As soon as I spoke to Lisa on the phone I knew she was the wedding planner for us. We was easy to talk to and understood what I wanted and informative. She happen to be in New York before our wedding, and she was even able to meet with us and go over some details. We were also lucky that where we chose to have our wedding, Palmas Del Mar, is where she is located so it was convenient for us the days leading to and the day of the wedding.

Lisa is professional, flexible she responded to my phone calls, and emails quickly. She has a close relationship with many vendors and help us find the linen services and videographer. She had also work with some of the vendors that we hired and put us at ease with our decisions.

The day leading to and the day of the wedding Lisa and her husband Rog, were there to guide and help us out. They dealt with DRAMA, but got it done. When I walked down the beach to my husband surrounded with family and friends it was everything I wanted. I had the most amazing wedding that all my friends and family speak about consistantly.

If you want someone that is professional, knowledgable, creative, quick thinker and a problem solver you need to hire Lisa.

I HIGHLY recommend Lisa for your wedding!!!!!!

Lisa made our day so magical. Everything was so beautiful and organized. I did not have to worry about one thing on my wedding day.

My girlfriend and I went to Puerto Rico on January 16th-23rd 2010 for vacation and we were invited last minute to a 50th Birthday party on our last day there.... OMG!!! It was held at the San Juan Hotel and casino, I have to say, I have been to many parties in my day but this one took the cake, no pun intended. I asked my friend who organized the venue and she said PR Wedding Planners. We did not stop dancing from when we got there to when we left. Every detail was taken care of. I actually got to meet Lisa Rodriguez (Wedding Planner/Event Planner), who was so friendly and never made you feel like she was too busy to talk and answer questions. Folks this was only a Birthday party, I could only imagine what her weddings must look like. If we ever get married in PR she's going to be my choice for planning my wedding.

Where do I even begin!

I can't say enough good things about Lisa. When I first started contacting wedding planners, I spoke and got quotes from many different planners in the area. I had never been to Puerto Rico, and was feeling very unsettled trying to pick someone who would be able to help me (I am a control freak and would have tried to do it myself if I could speak a lick of Spanish!)

From the beginning, I connected with Lisa and felt very comfortable with her and quickly decided to book her for our event. She assured me we had plenty of time to plan the wedding in 8 months. From that point on, she was ALWAYS available and responsive to any question, email, phone call, etc that I sent her way. She didn't have a time limit on how many hours she spent with you and never made me feel like the nuisance that I had to be. :) I had already chosen and negotiated the venue on my own, but she was able to recommend all the other vendors, help with pricing and decisions, and they were all amazing. It really made a difference and made a seemingly impossible task become very easy and even fun.

We were able to visit San Juan a few months before the wedding and Lisa drove in the pouring rain to meet us, pick us up, and drive us to the wedding location to meet with the catering director there and go over everything. She totally made us feel secure and comfortable with everything we were doing. She even gave us a little tour of the island on the way there since it was raining and we hadn't had much opportinity to see anything. You can easily see how much she cares about the couples she works with, and wants them to enjoy every minute of their wedding planning experience.


I never thought a wedding planner would be something I would need, but even taking away EVERYTHING Lisa did for us prior to the wedding, just having her there for our wedding weekend was worth any cost! As soon as we got to Puerto Rico (a few days early), she flew in to my room with her notepad, took over and unpacked and organized everythng we had shipped and brought with us. We had a fairly large destination wedding, and had a TON of stuff to go through. In just a few hours she had organized everything, went over seating, vendor payments, and listened to my mom's life story. After that, I was able to enjoy my weekend with my family and friends who all came to be with us. She went above and beyond with helping with our rehearsal dinner and all the details that went along with that as well (for 80 people). I was so happy to have her join us for every moment---she became a fixture in my life for so long that I felt she was one of our guests--not just the planner!

My wedding was truly amazing, and I would encourage anyone to use her experience and services. I couldn't have had a better wedding day, and it's because I, nor my mom or any of my friends, had to deal with the vendors the day of the wedding or worry about any of the setup. She showed up on Friday for the rehearsal, helped with the seating placecards for the next day, ran the rehearsal, and was there early the next day for the wedding. She doesn't even live that close to the venue and visited us every day we were there.

I didn't even see the ceremony site before I walked down the aisle, and it was more than I could have ever imagined. (I am pretty detail-oriented and have high standards!). I was also blown away by the quality of the cakes, the music, the flowers, and I LOVED our pastor that she recommended! Our DJ was awesome---everything just exceeded my expectations.

Lastly, at the end of our wedding, she had already packed everything (back in original packaging, I might add) and it was all neatly lined up and ready to be shipped back to Texas for us that night. I'm talking about BOXES and boxes of stuff. I absolutely could not have done it without her. Our guests have still not stopped talking about it being the best wedding they have been to!

I had initially contacted several wedding planners and what impressed me most about Lisa was her responsiveness. Lisa was extremely helpful in the wedding planning process. She provided names of vendors for me to contact and was helpful in following up with the vendors if I encountered any issues. I arrived in PR a few days before the wedding and Lisa took us through the PR marriage license process and all the last minute preparations. Her services the day of the wedding were vital and she made sure everything ran smoothly. I was very pleased with how everything came out and all my guests kept saying it was the best wedding they ever attended!

Lisa did an amazing job with our wedding. Everything came together beautifully and my vision was realized. She was very easy to work with and had many fabulous ideas and suggestions. Planning a destination wedding can be very stressful but Lisa eliminated that stress! Working with her was a wonderful experience.

Lisa was amazing! Her attention to detail and timely responses made what could have been a stressful wedding, a beautful event that we look back on fondly. I would recommend Lisa to any bride looking for a planner that is knowledgeable and thoughtful (we were on a budget and she was able to help us stay within it). She anticipated every detail (it rainined on our day for a little bit and she had an umbrella in addition to an alternative site) and was quick to ensure all aspects of our day were seamless. Throughout the planning process, Lisa was always available!!! My husband and I set up numerous conference calls and she joined every one of them. Lisa had everything under control (DJ, Cake, Flowers, Food)---she kept telling me “It will be just fine.” I didn’t realize how detail oriented she is until the wedding day. Lisa was so involved!!! I arrived in Puerto Rico 5 days before my wedding. I spent time with Lisa before the wedding date because she wanted to ensure that everything was perfect….and it was!!!!

I am very tough to deal with!!!!! My husband is worse than me. For Lisa to deal with us both without complaining or throwing in the towel, I am truly amazed.

Lisa over delivers and over performs. Lisa does a damn good job….she’s good at what she does. I would highly recommend her!!
