Of course it did. Outdoor ceremony, right next to the rain forest… what could go wrong? She did not panic. She did not hesitate. She immediately started directing people, adjusting the layout, shifting the timeline, and somehow it all flowed. What could have felt chaotic ended up feeling intentional. I remember thinking, this is exactly why we hired her.

And then there was my shapewear situation.

For my wedding dress, I decided to wear shapewear. That was a mistake. I could not breathe. Halfway through cocktail hour, I was regretting every decision I had ever made. One of my bridesmaids tried to yank it off under my dress for a solid ten minutes. Any bride knows taking your dress off and putting it back on is simply not an option.

Our coordinator stepped in, calm as ever. Without making it dramatic or making me feel embarrassed, she literally put her whole hand up my dress, found the band of the shapewear, and had it off in seconds. Problem solved. I could breathe again. Cocktail hour saved.
