WHO ARE WE? Well, put simply, we’re one of Detroit, Michigan’s most sought-after wedding, event & party bands.
The real question is, who are we NOT?

We are NOT a cheesy, corny band that has defined the term “wedding band” for so long. We are a young, dynamic, hip 8-piece group. We are in-touch with today’s styles, including hip-hop, R&B, top 40 and modern rock. We absolutely KICK out the funk and disco from the 70’s and 80’s. We JAM the Motown classics everyone loves so much. And we bring the “cool” back to big band and swing!

We are NOT a group of “hired-gun” musicians with no connection or passion for your event. You will never be stuck wondering the day before your event what to expect from The DRB. We will become friends and interact on a first name basis because it is very important for us to know what exactly it is you’re looking for, even if you’re not exactly sure. We’ll sit down face to face and walk through your whole event together. You have NO WORRIES with us. That’s how we roll baby!

The Dan Rafferty Band, proudly calling Detroit home, offers a completely new way of providing live music entertainment for weddings, corporate functions, private parties, bars/clubs, casinos, bar & bat mitzvahs or any other type of event where dynamic live entertainment is needed. And while we’re based here in the Motorcity, we’ll travel wherever you need us. Chicago, Traverse City, Cleveland, Hawaii. Hey, were here for YOU, people! We often travel to Grand Rapids, Bay Harbor, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Toledo, and many more locations. We’re always looking for an opportunity to play someplace new!

We’ve shared the stage with Kid Rock, and we’ve opened for such bands as Foreigner, Flock of Seagulls and Loverboy. While we play weddings and corporate events every weekend, we don’t consider ourselves a wedding band. We’re passionate about our show, and about getting to know our clients personally. Our front vocalists are all young stylish entertainers who love today’s top 40 and hip hop dance music, and take great pride in performing these songs with the same energy and authenticity as the original artists!
