Bartleby and Sage prepares both traditional and contemporary food, using the freshest naturally-grown produce, meats and poultry.  We seek out small, family-run farms and local purveyors to bring you food full of authentic flavors.  We drive fuel efficient vehicles, compost our waste and make recommendations on repurposing decor and floral.

Leslie Nilsson, founder and creative guru, has over 20 years of experience catering New York area weddings--clients hire Bartleby and Sage for our extensive knowledge of venues, menu planning and the best way to run a DIY wedding space (not to mention Leslie's diplomacy skills when mother and bride have two very different visions).  Our food is entirely handmade; our staff is highly professional--but more importantly we love what we do, and it shows!
