How would you identify your photographic style?
My style is a fusion of photojournalistic, fashion, traditional, and nature/outdoor photography. I like to blend elements of your day together in your images to make you feel your day all over again.

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I can perform almost any technique under the sun. I am a member of the National Association for Photoshop Professionals and work in Photoshop every day. I try to create unique images in the camera on your Wedding day as to minimize Photoshop work. My images are clean and simple but they can be anything you can imagine.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
The reason that I am a Professional Photographer is that I have experience in all lighting situations and I know how my cameras will react to the different colors of light.

Is your media preference film or digital?
My photography is 100% digital and you should choose digital based on the speed of return and image quality.

How many photographers do you work with?
I work by myself but many of my customers say that I am two people in one. I can get an assistant if you would prefer but I really like to work by myself and I am constantly shooting with two, three, or four cameras at the same time. I work with remote cameras and I always have a wide angle and telephoto camera on me. I don't think that you will get a better selection of images from any other photographer.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
YES! I work only under contract and if I am not there I am dead.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?
I NEVER book more than one wedding a day, PERIOD. I may book a Friday and Saturday wedding. I feel that booking more than one Wedding a day is distracting and you are not giving everything you have to the bride and groom.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
I have a network of photographers that I can call in a last minute situation.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring everything that I will need for the event and back up for everything too. I have multiple backups of all of my equipment. Just know that I had a camera shutter explode as the bride was walking down the isle but I always have two cameras so life was good!

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
YES! See above. I have had two camera shutters explode during an event while I was shooting and I didn't even miss a beat. You will never know if anything goes wrong because I have multiple backups for everything.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have packages for both and A La Carte too.

If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime?
I can work as little or as long as you wish. I try to make sure that you allow enough time to really bring out the emotions and personality during any particular event. If you would like for me to stay longer than I would be happy to continue my work.

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
I do require a meal at the Wedding but I can also pose as one of your guests that decided not to come. I usually work through the meal so I sit down for just enough time to eat and then I am back to work. I am at the event because of you and you are my main concern. I do appreciate a meal though.

How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?
Zero. You can ask all of my customers and they know that I am in and/or around the action all day long. I DO NOT smoke and drink at the event, and I keep socializing to a minimum so that I can really work on making images that are unique and special to you.

Do you charge for travel?
Yes and no. Depends on the situation but I have been including travel in my package lately. My travel charges are VERY minimal since I have friends all over the Midwest and I can stay with them. On destination weddings I do charge a travel fee and it is included in the destination package price.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
A few days. Everything is completed so quickly after the wedding because I literally work on the images the following day of the event. If I am traveling I am processing images on the passenger seat in the car. Your proofs, wedding images, wedding album, and wedding slide show are all online within ONE WEEK! You can have your professional, life time guarantee, wedding album in hand within two months of your event!

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
CD and thumbnail images and on your personal wedding website. You will have multiple ways to view your images.

How long can the couple keep the proofs?
The proofs are yours to keep forever.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
You have shared copyright of all of the images in Color and Black and White for printing and email. If you decide to use the images online I require that you post www.PaulShotMyWedding.com with the images.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. You cannot publish my images unless you get prior written consent.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
You get all of the digital files in color and black and white to print and email. Typically I capture over 3000 images at a wedding event.

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
YES. You actually get a wedding website that is available indefinitely. Your wedding images, wedding album, and wedding slide show are all on the event website and your can personally change the website with your VIP access! Really cool stuff!

What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer Rennaissance albums with any cover under the sun. You can get leather, silk, aluminum, etc. You have many choices and the albums have a lifetime guarantee on workmanship. I also guarantee all of my work, so you have a double guarantee!

When will I get the final book?
You get the final book about 1.5-2 months after you make your final edits on the album. All edits are done online and it is very interactive.

How long does it take to deliver a book?
Your book is delivered as soon as I receive it from the company if you have a flush mount album and as soon as I finish it in house if you have a traditional album.
