- Ocean Club - an intimate indoor venue perfect for small receptions. It boasts a cozy fireplace and beautiful balcony.
- Monterey Bay Room - features gorgeous ocean views and plenty of space for dinner and dancing.
- Dolphins Ballroom - boasts amazing views of their dolphins fountain and Monterey Bay. The room is filled with a gold, aqua and deep marine blue and green color palette.

Exceptional Venue!!
Dreamy Venue
Perfect Wedding!
Caitlin was very responsible through the wedding planning process. We enjoyed experience with the preferred vendors: Mike Danen Photography, Sarah Pink for flowers, Freedom Bakery and Confections, and Belmont Entertainment.
Caitlin made the food tasting/linen section process very easy. A few months before the wedding, we met and did all the tastings. Everything was delicious! I wanted to switch out a vegetable, and we were able to do that.
On the wedding day everything was executed perfectly. Caitlin set up all of our decorations, including the guestbook table, guest setting table, and put our favors. We had our cocktail party outside facing the ocean. It was beautiful and our guests enjoyed the hors d'oeuvre. Caitlin helped get everything into the reception room, the Monterey Bay Room.
The food was delicious!! We went with steak or salmon. Caitlin came to check on us to make sure everything was perfect, which we appreciated.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience. We had shopped at other reception venue locations in Monterey and we felt the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa had the best value for the money. There were no hidden costs at the end, and we felt that we were treated well.
While we worked with Caitlin during all of the planning, the day of our wedding we had Alexis seeing to it that everything Caitlin had coordinated and prepared for us went smoothly. Like Caitlin, Alexis was an absolute delight to work with and made the whole ceremony seem seamless and the reception afterwards grand.
I could go on and on singing the praises of the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa as well as their amazing staff from the coordinators, to the servers, but I'll leave this review with a few . If you want to feel worry-free, have your vision respected and supported, and loved by your venue on your special day, whether you live locally or from out of state, the Monterey Plaza is where you want to hold your wedding.

This is one of my favorite locations in Monterey with ocean views. Alexis and her team are efficient, organized and accommodating. Their catering team executes your dinner flawlessly. I love being a part of their events and highly recommend them for your wedding day.
We have been a part of over 150 weddings at The Monterey Plaza Hotel. It's impressive to witness the consistently high quality service they provide. It starts when you first meet Alexis Davis who books the weddings there. She fully understands what it takes to make a wedding day memorable. The staff at The Plaza is on target when it comes to service and making sure things are being done in a timely mannner at the ceremony and reception. Did I mention the view? Wow! Absolutely fantastic! If you're planning a Monterey area wedding - This venue is a great option.
