Chaminade Resort & Spa is a hotel wedding venue in Santa Cruz, California. The venue offers spectacular views of the iconic Monterey Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains, making it a scenic locale for weddings. Situated just an hour from San Francisco International Airport and 30 minutes from the San Jose International Airport, the venue is convenient for guests traveling out of town.
Facilities and Capacity
This venue was completely transformed in the spring of 2020 and rests on a hilltop above Santa Cruz. It has two breathtaking ceremony locations, both overlooking the spectacular Monterey Bay. The Sunset Patio is perched on the hill's edge with views of lush green woodland and the ocean beyond. This space can accommodate ceremonies of up to 180 guests. The Spanish-inspired Courtyard Terrace boasts colorful flowers and an elegant stone fountain, with enough space for weddings of 200 attendees. Wedding festivities can be carried on in one of two reception areas. The Santa Cruz Ballroom can seat 200 guests and features beautiful views of Monterey Bay from its large windows and attached balcony. Our newest ballroom is our Seascape Ballroom which offers an incredible indoor/outdoor flow throughout the evening. This ballroom has an adjacent patio with an open-air fire pit where newlyweds and their guests can lounge between dances. This Ballroom can accomodate up to 180 guests.
Services Offered
The resort has all-inclusive packages available to take the stress out of wedding planning. The events team is happy to customize plans to fit each couple's reasonable budget and dreams. Each rental of the venue includes the services of a professional event planner who can offer expertise in coordinating the rehearsal and ceremony. They also cover catering, with either a plated or buffet meal, and offer bar services of your choice. The resort's luxurious spa caters to weddings with packages for couples, the wedding party, and guests.
Accommodation
Chaminade Resort & Spa has 156 guest rooms, including 44 suites. Guests who visit the area for the wedding can take advantage of the lavish rooms. Couples who wed here will receive a complimentary stay in one of the rooms for the wedding night. Those staying at the hotel can choose between a King, two Queen, or Family guest rooms.
