We had an amazing experience at the Tides! Kelly Frasier was a dream to work with, and just the sweetest ever. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and provided exceptional service, the location is beautiful, the food was AMAZING, and everything was perfect. Literally the best day ever!

We recently had our wedding here and it was nothing short of amazing. This venue was a dream come true! Everything was just beautiful! This hotel is in such a prime location! The ceremony location, the rehearsal dinner, and the reception was perfect. Caitlin our coordinator helped make everything go smooth and flawless. She is so sweet and knowledgeable! The banquet staff were awesome as well! Even the valet/bell desk folks were SO kind and helpful. All of our guests could not get over how beautiful everything was! We are so grateful and wish we could relive our big day over and over again!!

When I was 16 years old, my mom and me stayed at the hotel and watched a wedding happen. I loved it so much that I always talked about how that’s where I wanted to get married. My husband knew about this and actually asked me to marry him on the exact ocean terrace where I wanted to wed. Then I got married here in October after having to postpone twice! The intercontinental was so good at handling the covid nonsense and making my wedding exactly the way I wanted it. I definitely recommend!

We will definitely revisit this lovely hotel that gave us plenty wonderful memories. My wife and I would like to specially thank Laurel who not only helped us in everything that we needed before, during and after the wedding, but made us feel very very welcome and important on our special day. Laurel, you are a treasure! Thanks so much and hope to see you when we renew our vows.

We are incredibly happy with our wedding events at the Monterey Marriott. We really got to enjoy every minute of our wedding weekend, because we knew that Kimberly, Jamie, Joe, and the team were on top of every detail. We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner, afterparty, brunch, and other small events at the Marriott. The property has event spaces of different sizes - our events ranged from 60 to 240 people. Our rehearsal dinner and brunch were in the Ferrantes ballroom - this space is stunning, and worked well for both plated and buffet meals (with amazing service for both). The glass walls with views of the ocean and Monterey are magical, and from this space, you get the full benefit of being at the tallest building in Monterey. Our afterparty was in the Characters bar, which had enough space for a dance floor, food, and bar for 100, plus a great sound system. Finally, we hosted a few smaller events in a hospitality suite - this was a great option, as it opened up to the pool deck, so we could entertain more casually. Beyond the venue - the Monterey Marriott team was really what made our events shine. From the very first day working with our catering executive Jamie, I felt that we were in good hands. Jamie helped us scope event structure many different ways and showed us spaces multiple times before we signed a contract, so that we could be sure the Marriott would be a good fit for us. In addition, she helped us set up reasonable spend minimums so that we could continue refining our events while having venues + room rates locked in. Jamie checked in with us throughout the process to ensure we had everything we needed, including following up with us in person the day after our wedding, which we really appreciated. Our event manager Kimberly took the time to make sure every detail was taken care of for our wedding weekend. She answered a ton of long emails, texts, and phone calls from us and kept track of many unique requests over a period of 14 months. Kimberly really took the time to understand what was important to us and why we were asking for specific things, so that she could make sure our vision came to life. Kimberly said to us, a few times, “I will personally take care of this” - and we knew things were in good hands. From room layouts, to salad green mix percentage, to being on call for our whole wedding weekend over a holiday - Kim truly came through and made our experience exceptional. If you’re considering booking a room block for your wedding, the Marriott is great to work with, even if all of your events aren’t on-property. Our rooming coordinator Sandy was able to adjust details of our booking website to make it easier to navigate for our guests, and the Marriott team (including Olivia at the front desk) helped us place guests into specific rooms so that we could keep our party together. In addition, an online room block portal made it easy for us to track the rooms that had been booked, by who, and for how many nights, without needing to request that information repeatedly from the Marriott team. Finally - we’d like to call out the catering manager Joe, who took the time to understand our catering needs and gave recommendations for how we could improve our dish selection and flow. Joe and his team were able to manage all of our (many) dietary restrictions and cook amazing meals for multiple events ranging from 60 to 240 guests. We strongly recommend hosting wedding events at the Monterey Marriott. For 14 months, we felt that the team was trying to get to know and understand our family and our needs so that they could better tailor our event - a true example of hospitality. Plus, the downtown location with stunning water views can’t be beat. Thank you to the Monterey Marriott team for making our wedding dreams come true!

The Inn at Del Monte Beach is a fantastic place for a wedding reception. Many of our wedding guests stayed at the Inn, and were very impressed with the guest rooms. The rooftop patio is, in a word gorgeous, and is just the right size--big enough to accommodate 100 plus guests, but not so big that the space feels empty. We had use of the kitchen space and the staff were very helpful. Overall it was a great experience.

We had the pleasure of working with Jennifer for hair and Makayla for hair and make-up. When the girl who was supposed to do make-up did not show up, Makayla jumped in to do make up and Jennifer added girls to her schedule for hair to help out and make sure we were all ready and looking and feeling beautiful! Jennifer was very patient and creative during the hair trial and both girls were lovely to my bridal party! They were fantastic!

My then fiance and I chose Old Monterey Inn to have our wedding while we were checking out venues in the area. We knew we were going to get married in Monterey or Carmel and the inn looked exactly perfect for us considering the beautiful garden setting, enough space for 45 guests, the fact that we could get all the rooms for our guests the night before and the night of the wedding. The icing on the cake was meeting with the innkeeper Wendy. She was extremely friendly and genuinely keen to make sure we got all the help and support we needed for setting up the inn for the wedding, even gave us excellent tips on what our wedding flow could be based on the layout of the inn and garden. She was also reachable by phone and email which was particularly critical in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Ultimately we made great use of the unusual layout of the inn by using the lush green lawn for our ceremony and lawn party, the garden area for lunch and the driveway area for dancing. Oh and the rooms were simply gorgeous, the photos on the website will give some idea. They also give a little box of chocolates tied with a ribbon on the room. Oh and there is wine and cheese for guests in the afternoons, and breakfast in the morning which can be served to you in the garden. Unforgettable experience, the two of us will definitely come here again and stay to relive the memories of this amazing day of our lives :)
