My husband and I got married at Glen Oaks back in September ‘25 and it was so magical. The property is nestled amongst old growth redwoods and is perfect if you’re looking for an understated, but still super chic outdoor wedding venue. We got married outside, which was always what we envisioned. Ivy helped us with everything from start to finish and she was absolutely lovely to work with.

Overall, we found the value of the venue to be extremely fair given the comps we received from nearby locations and given that we were getting married in Big Sur. They had a ton of flexibility with our design choices and you’re able to book your own caterer which I loved. They also special ordered beer we requested, which was also amazing.

Highly recommend them all around for beauty, vibe, working with them, and value.

We recently eloped on the grounds of Glen Oaks Big Sur this past week. Our cabin was just perfect, it was cozy and just beautiful! We were given a complimentary bottle of wine for our elopement which was just so sweet of them. Every staff member that we came into contact with was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend eloping here to anybody who plans to elope.

From the moment we first visited Glen Oaks, we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. As nature lovers, we envisioned exchanging vows beneath the trees, and Glen Oaks brought that vision to life beautifully. I was able to walk down the aisle barefoot on soft grass, with the peaceful sound of a nearby stream in the background—it was truly magical.
One of our favorite aspects was the walk from the ceremony site to the restaurant. Having all our guests stroll through the trees created an unforgettable, dreamlike experience. The patio at the Roadhouse was an ideal setting for dinner, offering both beauty and functionality, with convenient access to the kitchen, bar, and restrooms. Its location just off the highway also made it easy for guests to find.
We stayed in the Riverside cabin, just steps from the ceremony site. The space was perfect for getting ready, offering plenty of room and a stunning view that set the tone for the day.
A few considerations for future couples: access to the Roadhouse isn’t available until 3:30 PM on the day of the event. This meant we had to adjust our timeline and work efficiently during setup. While it was manageable with a great vendor team, it’s worth factoring into your planning. Additionally, cell service in the area is limited (as is common throughout Big Sur), so we relied on clear directional signage to guide our guests—something we recommend others do as well.
Despite these minor challenges, we would choose Glen Oaks again in a heartbeat. The natural beauty, convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and support from the venue managers, Ivy and Victoria, far outweighed any logistical hurdles. We highly recommend Glen Oaks and look forward to returning to celebrate future anniversaries.

Glen Oaks was beautiful, and although a bit pricy, we felt it was worth the money based on the experience we had. It was perfect for our elopement, and I’m sure guests attending a larger wedding would enjoy the venue as well.

Beautiful spot that God created. We booked this location through Ivy the event coordinator for the Redwood Grove site in Glen Oaks. She did a fairly good job with communicating but when it came to the actual day...that was awful! She is not on site, no one was around, my daughter had to get in her wedding dress in the Chevron bathroom, we could not find the actual site since we were only there once a few months before, wasted valuable time trying to figure all this out which cut into our photography time that we had booked, which caused us to miss out on certain shots we wanted to have taken at the beach, thanks alot. The "bartender" that was there to set up our drink table missed the fact that we had the location between certain times and decided to pack up early, when confronted he said I was mistaken and should read my contract when in fact he was the one that was incorrect. On top of that this bartender was dressed in dirty jeans a hat and a not so nice t shirt, just what you want to see at your wedding...glad we didnt pay $$ to have him pop the cork off champagne he definitely was not dressed to represent. He did not introduce himself as help but instead kind of lurked around, we had no idea who he was until he started packing up the drinks! There was not one person there to say oh hey welcome let us know if you need anything and let me direct you to your wedding site. NO ONE .... you pay $3000. for no one to be there to guide you. What a disgrace, shame on you.

Was in communication with the coordinator Ivy but for some reason she dropped off the face of the earth when responding to emails about inquiring. Especially off putting when I was in no way being rude or anything! She just simply stopped responding after being asked to discuss all of the venue costs! She just sent the usual package pdfs that venues do but made no effort to go over any questions I may have. What a waste of time and energy. Truly disappointing.
